I'm trying to do this with an Avid style workflow (which works with .mxf). The .mxf files can range from XDCam to XDCamEX to P2 and to DNxHD.

Problem is, even though I can import .mov rendered clips of DNxHD, I try to import an ALE (or AAF or EDL, whatever it is, it actually imports my sequence), and the sequence builds just like when in my Avid timeline, but AE isn't reading the .mxf wrapped media...

If you don't see the update, it's because you've still got something pending in the updater list. Launch the updater and then choose the Delete All option. Launch the updater again and it will look for all updates that are available. The 8.02 update should now be in the list.

thanks! but I'm trying to update it with the .EXE downloaded from Adobe's Site.

the general CS3 updater thing seems to dont know that I have AE and Illustrator installed...

any clue? thanks!

how did you install the update? I only get the updater saying "the updater is unable to locate the product to be updated" its really annoying! i have footage in mxf waiting to be in after effects proyects!
