@Portmeiriana Steve - A search on Youtube for "Portmeirion Kyle of Lochalsh" turns up a very interesting 1940s colour film with a few minutes of the village (either side of some gambolling lambs).
Fabulous! It feels as if the cinema organist should rise up in front of the screen. Portmeirion deserves to be celebrated. A magical place built on one man's dream.
