  • I loved this two part film Ray winstone deserved a award for his performance as henry he was outstanding all the way through,he's such a talented man I felt like i was watching the real henry he captured every emotion to perfection,he also played a great sweeny todd too :)

  • Ray Made best henry 8th

  • This is art! Beautiful!

  • This is beautiful! :) Such a tragic story...

  • Great editing skills, uploader. Very nice work.

About the video: don't get me wrong, I love the TUDORS, but Ray Winstone is just PERFECT as Henry VIII.

  • This Video is really great :) I like it.

  • he had to go and get her beheaded

  • Oh, i don't know this movie. But i think they actually look same as historical pictures. Although about me, may be actors are a little old when Henry and Anne met together.

  • Cockney king.

  • Idk what movie this is, but the clips certainly show a lot of emotion on Henry's part. Not exactly accurate to the sociopath he actually was. She had 2 miscarriages, and he had her beheaded.

  • it was a film 4 ITV shown a couple of years ago and it was quite good, it accurately showed his decent into madness

  • That's true. But it's not a documentry and was an exploration into Henry as a man and the effects his actions may have had on him in private, that nobody saw. Yes he had Anne beheaded but there is a lot more to it than that. And one of anne's miscarriages was down to someone who told her the king was dead. May records also show that they seemed to be happy right up until later 1535.

  • @fortuna2007 Hey, where do you get all your information on Anne and Henry? I'm quite interested in learning more about them, great video too!

  • what is the name of this movie?

  • Well done! I love it...and now I am depressed. :( Love that movie.

  • Omb this is sooo beautiful yet sooo sad!! Great job. This made my cry.

    5/5

  • though he does not totally capture the look's of Henry Viii,THIS IS much more accurate look than the showtime Tudors

  • i completely agree with YOU....this is much more accurate looking but still, I've never come across an actor as 'displeasing' to look at as Holbein's portrait of Henry VIII (the popular one) - they always give us pretty Anne Boleyns, I guess they don't want to have an ugo with her........although........hmm, I like to think Henry VIII possesed some sort of physical attraction (perhaps much earlier in life) - what does everything think?

  • also this is more historically acurate than the tudors

  • Anne wasnt ugly she just wasnt the best looking girl out there. She just had something more special in her than alot of the other girls.

  • @DIDICOYFUL well that is just a nice way of saying she was ugly

  • you think winstone's displeasing to look at?

  • I wouldn't kick him out of bed.

  • this is great!..love helena and the song :)

  • how have I never watched this ? can someone please advise on how to do so !

  • I cry when I watch this, it's so beautiful! Thanks for posting this <3 This is such a beautiful movie, Helena is great(as always) <3

  • i am going down to london this summer, and i can get in the tower free because my dad was a beefeater ,and i will get some digital photos of her grave stone and put it up for you,she is inside the church under the alter with catherine howard both beheaded by henry, catherine was a teenager.she really did have a lover ,but anne didnt..remember the princes in the tower that were murdered by richard 3rd?they were found under the stairs of the white tower, they are burried in westminster abby now.

  • Beautiful film, great song choice. Love it ! What's your opinion on Anne B ?

  • she must have been frightened to death just being imprisoned there by her half sister mary, she was put in the bell tower,it is occupied by a beafeater, and he let me go in his house (round)because its a tower`)and i then craweled out of a small door ''down low ''to go on the balcony,Elizabeth walked everyday up and down on it ,and thats religion for you ,she was protestant like her father-Mary was catholic so called ''bloody mary'' for her tyranical slauter of masses for being protestant !SAD ..?

  • Not masses, 300. A lot less than other Tudor Monarchs, or just a lot of Monarchs in general, and I think she would have been a lot more tolerant to the Protestant faith if it hadnt basically ruined her life.

  • Anne god the best swordsman in france`it `s blow was so swift they say when they saw her head come off that she moved her lips and blinked+since we lived in the tower itself i would often sit on tower green and think about her as i fed the pigeons and all the tourists gone,i would look at the window above the green were she looked out seeing the scafold being built the queens palace built tudor style look strange in a twelveth century castle`i went up to the balcony were elizabeth was walking

  • we must not forget the pressure on Henry to have a son from all the men at court,it was a mans world and tho women had ruled england in the past like boudica, times had changed ,the church had a grip on england too ,henry had no quams about beheading anyone Anne wouldnt divorce him so he was pressured to do it,she was in a no win situation, older with syph, when he got the women he got bored too,he was like some men today intolerant of womens ways =different than courting-'being married isnt it?'

  • Annes and Cathrines bodies have been exumed before and both have their heads between their legs, they are burried under the altar in peter ad vincular church in the towerof london,my dad being a beefeater took me at night to in the church and i went onto the altar and he lifed the table cover so i could take a picture of the stones under which they lay,i felt sad to think of the women there, and if you go on mayo clinic to symptoms of syphllis the malformed babies anne had means she had syph...

  • trc751 - Omg, their heads were between their legs? I had no idea. That's morbid to think about.

  • huh? what?

  • I was replying to trc751 who made a comment saying two of Henry's wives were found with their cut off heads in between their legs.

  • oh. ick.

  • Henry VIII was the best king ever, anyone who thinks diffrent is in wrong!!!! Henry VIII was doing all that he NEED to do for the good of ENGLAND don't forget that!!!!

  • lol you being sarcastic?

henry was doing what was for the good of henry and the tudors...

  • awesome!!!!!!!

  • no

the only wife henry went in mourning for(5 years to be exact) was jane

he was obsessed with anne at first but slowly the relationship crumbled

and thats why he started accusing of her of those stupid crimes (having sex with her bro?)

and on the day she was beheaded he was feasting with his new-wife-to-be jane

  • only Elisabeth lived a long time, but she was strange and never married or had sex,but seeing her mother executed must have had a traumatic efect on her,she trusted no-one if she married the man would be king and could get ridd of her too,Anne was only married a thousand days, but was his longest relationship, the long wait for marriage played a role in his mind she failed him (no son)

i lived at the Tower my dad was a beefeater,i learned alot about Tudors thats all americans wanted to know about.

  • Anne was an outgoing woman, and loved to have fun, they made up she slept with her brother, she slept with a man from her past who was married,in his mind he had to do it ,so he could marry Jane Seymore who was the daughter of one of his men in court,Janes father pushed her onto Henry as Anne was at end days,Jane had a son to him Edward she died a week after his birth, and the son only lived to his teens and was always sickly growing up(syphlis)his first daughter mary died in her twenties.

  • trc751- mary died in her 40s and Edward died of TB

  • Henry had all the symtoms of syphlis,he lay with any woman he could in court and out, kathrines death in exile is she got a mystery illness (syph)Anne did have other babies boys-she miscarried and some lasted a week and they were deformed,(syph)by then henry was ill and getting ulcers on his body(syph)he was persuaded by the men arround him to get ridd of Anne that he was punished by god not getting a son)because Anne had bewitched him,so he had the men find a reason to kill her all untruths.

  • Anne and Henry were not married for ten years as he couln't get divorced because of the catholic church was supream ruler over many countries,Anne showed Henry a book that stated he was head of the kingdom, for ten years Henry with Anne put up a fight for the break from Rome, she wanted to be queen, they secretly married when she became pregnant with Elisabeth,he couldn't execute kathrine because of Rome and his daughter (bloody mary)was betrothed to the king of spains son,Anne was in her thirties.

  • thank you!!!in history we watched this video i wanted to watch it again!!!what movie is it from??? cos i wanna see anne get exacuted lol arent i sad 5/5 fave english king

  • I heard from my history teacher that there is a theory Henry had asiphilus(cant spell it)and thats why he had trouble with his wives giving birth, they obviously got the std off him, their wombs could take one pregneancy but the rest couldnt live in an infected womb...

  • syphillis ya were u have trouble with ur cock

  • ffs don't tell me you'd never heard of syphillis before. "asiphilus".

  • he loved her always his true love

  • that is really true but she did produce one of the best queens in englands history

  • no he wasted all his time with that stupid whore jane seymour couldn't even produce a good heir

  • Amen sister.

  • may 19th 2009 is the day TheKingsWhore is exacuted!!!!

    BEST DAY IN YOUTUBE HISTORY

  • not you again...

  • I am facinated by the tudors I have been since I was 9! this film is brill Helena is gr8 in this!

  • Wow it's amaizing

  • hey, aboleynfan1505 have you tried reading threads by nell gavin? its really gr8 if you hope there was forgiveness! its a novel i got it from amazon, only bit i hated was the lack of empathy for george boleyn and the lack of mention of the others who were murdered with her! still really good book with different twist on it!

  • I love how you made it as if Henry misses Anne and regrets putting her to death, well done=>

  • i agree he regretted it until the day he died

  • OMG! This video is so beautiful and the music is amazing!!! Perfect macth!!

thank for made the video!! really good job! <3

    xxx

    -deiamd-

  • what this from? i wanna watch it!!!!

  • so beautiful x I love this video, it fits so well and in parts almost reduces henry. Being portreyed as a man rather than a monster xx

  • lol half the times when he looks depressed or scared its not because he killed anee boylne! its cuz he kept having daurghters! lol

  • lol haha i know! Made for a good video though ;) haha

  • lol yh i love the part when he almost die's in the gaurden lol

  • I can't find words... Beautiful... 5 Stars...

  • 3:04

reminded me of a mary shelley's frankenstein scene where helena and real life ex-partner kenneth branagh where having a love scene

  • Nice video and yeah the movies is awesome. As to the question of why Anne couldn't give Henry a son most scholars now believe that it was likely due to the fact that Anne was Rh negative and that Henry was Rh positve the first child (Elizabeth) is born healthy but without a shot that is commonly given these days the mother's blood builds up antibodies against Rh postive blood which can cause her to miscarry future babies who's blood is Rh positive.

  • all the comments are about henry the 8th and the female actress....but no one has noticed that it is Ray winstone playing henry and ray is one of the worlds finest actors and most talented in england it wouldnt had been neaely as good if ray didnt play the lead role of henry.....a bloody good perfomance from an amazing british actor...........ray

  • the female actress is helena bonham carter. mind you.;)

  • I loved this movie soooooooooo much.

I mean, the ending made me want to kick Henry's ass, but yeah, Helena was amazing as always.

Best Anne Bolen I've ever seen.

  • I think Helena maybe may have been the most realistic movie version of Anne, Anne apparently had exceptionally beautiful eyes...

  • ugh henry viii was a pig... he started my church but i still dun like him lol. I <3 helena bonham carter, shes the best. Did anyone see her in sweeney todd she did really well.*-* I went to the tower of london where anne boleyn was beheaded, its like this little spot on the grass.

  • wow. good for you. wait. the real anne boleyn, or helena as anne boleyn? i lurve helena too. ahh..:D

  • OMG OMG OMG OMG HBC!!

  • gasp! draco malfoys aunt =X

lolzs thats cool; [[Btw helena plays bellatrix draco malfoys aunt]] anyways I luv the tudors =] and i lyk this vid

  • *Cries* Anne's story is so sad :-( And Helena plays the part beautiful. <3 Helena <3

  • **beautifully

  • can someone upload the movie

  • what movie is this from?

  • King Henry VIII.

I love this movie. Helena Bonham Carter is an amazing actress.

Great vid. There's so much Evanescence stuff in relation to Anne Boleyn. It's sweet.

  • Very touching.

  • Thankyou :)

  • Very touching.

  • Very touching.

  • Very touching.

  • is dat her head dey hold up at the end?

  • Yes, Henry had her beheaded!

  • oh ye i no dat but he beheaded one of his oder wives too nd i was wunderin if it was hers?? thanx !! wait why di he behead her??/

  • He beheaded Anne because, he couldn't give him, a son that he wanted, because there was something wrong with her womb! The only son she did give birth too was born dead & she had several other Miscarriges (After Elizabeth obv.)So he and along with some help acussed her of sleeping with other Men including her brother! After she was tried by a court and found guilty of adultery & insest she was be-headed.

  • She was given the option no to be be-headed aslong as she declared Elizabeth a bastard & she didn't want to do that!

hehehe there's a little brief history lesson for you! :D <3 xxxx

  • thaxn its realli confusin coz loadds of different shows say different stories nd im like which is da real one !!!ha thanx wat do ya mean a bastard???

  • a bastard is a baby that is born outside of marriage. So if Henry was claming he wasn't technically married to Anne, that would make their daughter, Elizabeth a bastard. One tip, don't believe anything you see in 'The Tudors' or 'The Other Boleyn Girl' its mostly fiction.

  • i luv the tudors johnathan ryhs meyers is so sexual and hes irish lyk me irish ppl are deadly

  • I read that she did infact sign that document in the end in panic, but was still beheaded.

  • its unlikely she had anything wrong with her womb at first, it was either damage after the birth of Elizabeth (her first child) or the pressure to give Henry a boy in my opinion..

  • The reasons Henry had Anne Beheaded were, she couldn't give him a son, there were no political advantages to gain from their marriage and he was most probably fed up with Anne speaking her mind.

  • wat movie is it??

  • Duh The other Boleyn Girl

  • Duh The other Boleyn Girl

  • No, actually it was called "Henry VIII", a television movie.

  • really!!!!!

  • really really :)

  • It's 'Henry VIII'

the paper 'The Other Boleyn Girl' is written on isn't worthy to wipe my arse.

  • Well said, the other boleyn girls is a piece of crap!

But i think there was something wrong with her womb, because my dad has a degree in history, and they were taught that there was likely that she had something wrong with her womb because of the way people were built in thoes days! Don't ask me it is confusing!!!

    lol

    <3 xxxx

  • huh, that's interesting!

i read somewhere that henry and anne's blood types weren't compatible. the theory had to do positive and negative bloodtypes or something, which meant that after the firstborn child - elizabeth - more kids couldn't be born to them safely. just a theory, but fascinating.

  • Huh, really! =)

I don't know then. Maybe it's one of thoes things no one will ever know!

    Where did you read that?

    x

  • I've heard about the Rh factor compatibility issue as well. I've also heard that Elizabeth II has ordered that Anne Boleyn's reamains remain sealed and never be disturbed. Anyone know if this is true? If so, we'll never be able to do a DNA analysis. The Tudor era was so important seems everyone has a right to know as much as we can about this era.

  • wow that is facinating i had also heard something like that but it was that her body produced somehting that did not allow her to have more surviving children. both are really facinating

  • schoolgurl87 - most historians think that she had a rare blood disorder, i believe. They think that she was Rh negative. Elizabeth was born with a different blood type and during labor their blood mixed and Anne's blood only recoginzed Elizabeth's as an intruder. So when she got pregnant again the Anne's white blood cells attacked the baby

  • oh thank yyuo for telling me that i knew that there was something wrong with her body i just didnt know wat.

  • Helena looks quite cute, don't ya think??

  • yeah out of all of his wives in the film I think him and anne looked the cutest 2 gether

  • Yes Definetly!

  • what, the bit with Jane Seymore??

  • 1:41 is my favourite part, The way Henery can't sleep next to Jane Seymore because he misses Anne!

Thats how I interperated it anyway!

  • Henry***

  • Thankyou - yeah, it's not like that in the film itself, but i thought it fitted pretty well lol

  • i know i reAlly wanna c it !

  • The song on this vid iz amazin

  • did he regret beheading her in the end?

  • Yes,havent u seen the film yet if u havent u shud it's amazing, but yes he did regret it thats why Elizabeth hated him.

  • i'm sure he did regret it - but we can't be sure. He may have convinced himself it was the right thing to do - it was a different world then.

  • Helena rox

  • The tudors rock I dont know why but I am facinated with them this film is a gr8 adaptation of Henry's story!!

  • I feel really sorry for Anne Boylen she was accused for nothing, but Helena was gr8 in this film!!

  • I have the DVD of this it's amazing I can watch it over and over!! I know I am a history freak!! XD

  • Same here, The tudors are my favourtie part of history!

Helena is amazing in this! :D xxxxx

  • That was Fantastic! xxxx

  • This is so beautiful. Helena is gorgeous!

  • who was that blond next to henry at 3:10

  • I think It was Jayne Seymore

  • Oh, no it wasnt it was Elizabeth's gouverness lady who was sat next 2 him !!

  • Thanks everyone for your comments, i will try to upload the film itself if i get a chance to! But you can buy it on dvd at amazon.

  • what is this movie called cause i really want to see it.

  • it wasnt actally her fault that she wasnt able to bear a living son she had something wrong in her womb that caused that to happen

  • im tearing at this...so sad

    helena looks so amazing

  • OMG, this made me BAWL! Helena is so gorgeous!

  • helena rox

  • omg can you upload this? or no where i can watch it i have been looking for it for aaages! lol

  • yano when him and anne boleyn are dancing in the film . . . well does anyone know the name of the music in the background? x

  • totally inlove with this film, so moving :( x

  • Had to come back and watch again :) I still adore Ray Winstones version of Henry VIII over anyone elses versions

  • He makes a better henry than johnathan rhys

  • absoluely. JRM i could poke him with my little finger and knock him over - hardly a great king lol

  • The nevere of that man, I hate him.

Me and My Mother was looking up our family history on her side, and it turns out that we are related to Anne Boleyn from the Butler family, we freaked when we found out.

  • that's really cool! I'm related to her through her cousin's Catherine Howard's side of the family, Henry's 5th wife.

  • You guys claiming a relation to anne and the howards are SOOO lucky. Me and my mom attempted to trace my grandmum's history in england, but did not get very far (only a couple generations). My great grandmum worked in the palace though...so maybe?

Probably not. But i loved this video. Although i doubt that man cared enough about anne to mourn her death. He had his next corpse-bride buying her wedding ensemble that day.

  • omg r u serius man lucky

  • the guy is hot!! 3:42

  • queen ann rest in peace

  • how cruel he was - and to katherine howard! she was only 17 when she was beheaded. how heartless! and he had anne of cleves AND katherine parr both nearly beheaded. only catherine of aragon survived. jane seymour was near it i hear, she was boring him

  • I read a quote somewhere in one of the many biographies about Henry VIII's wives and it has stayed with me for the longest time. "Jane Seymour gave the King an heir and then had the good sense to die before he could tire of her." I know its a little morbid, but I've always found to amusing.

  • The names of the six wives the way we say them in Hungarian:

    Aragóniai Katalin

    Boleyn Anna

Jane Seymour(some things just can't be changed,we don't have the Hungarian version for the name Jane)

    Clevesi Anna

    Howard Katalin

    Parr Katalin

    Nice:)

  • In Hungary we say Boleyn Anna(in our language surname comes first, then the christian name).

Still love this video, the song fits this story perfectly!

It always makes me cry, partly because I lived trhough the base of the story with the love of my life, except I still have my head...

  • this video is like one of my favorites EVER. i love it sooo much its not even funny. helena is amazing and gorgeous beyond belief.

  • I agree with every word you have just said

  • Tis nice to see a "heavier" version of King Henry as opposed to Hollywood's version with Eric Bana...

  • I know, or the tudors version of him.

  • haha let alone Jonathan Rhys Myers! Gimmie Ray as Henry VIII any day

  • yes!!!

  • poor girl

  • FYI it's anne boleyn.

  • wtf, no its Anne Bolyen.

  • There have been many ways of spelling Anne's name. Infact i believe originally it was Anne Bullen...at this time, not many words had a paticular way of being spelt anyway, so arguing over the spelling of Anne's name seems kind of pointless when we all know who eachother means - it's just a testament to how widely she is know :)

  • people who speak english say anne boleyna, but people who speak spanish say ana bolena. I live in ARGENTINA so i speak spanish and i say ana bolena

anne boeyna and ana bolena are OK

  • Yeah, I heard that it was originally Bullen, but when they went to France they changed it to Boleyn because it was more French sounding.

It is pointless, I suppose I'm just used to seeing/saying Anne Boleyn

  • It's awesome...Five stars

  • i abosolutely LOVE this video. it's amazing.

  • Amazing :D! 5/5

  • I'm in tears....great video!

  • Thankyou!

  • Thanks Foruna2007! I'm going to check him out in Beowulf. What is the name of this Tudor movie he was in? I'd like to watch it :)
