  • It's strange seeing a Calvinst converting to Catholicism. But Dr Hahn knowledge of the Bible is second to none. And he does put a new spin on Catholic teaching. His book 'The Lambs Supper' and it's relationship to Revelation has really opened my eyes.

  • @modomnoc1 Sort of strange but Calvin modled a lot of his teaching on St. Augustine and St. Paul two very great Catholics...

  • Scott lives in same town as Dean Martin did!!

  • Scott lives in same town as Dean Martin did!!

  • People love to say about how Jesus was after the order of _____.

    Do they understand those words?

Jesus was the priest and king of Jerusalem and that is how he is after the order of the one who was both king and priest of Jerusalem.

Jews have priests and kings in two different people.

You have to go back much more in time to get to the high priest being the king or leader of a family or city.

  • If you mean by "people", the writer of Hebrews, then I assume you are correct, that he did indeed "love" saying/writing that Jesus is after the order of Melchizedek. "People" aren't just making that up. It is is scriptural.

  • @ABAisSCIENCE have you ever read Hebrews? Read it and you will see what they are talking about how Jesus was a priest from the order of Melchizedek. The King/Priest Melchizedek offered for the people the todah sacrafice, which is bread and wine. The prophect prophecies that when the Messiah comes, the only sacrafice that will happen is the todah. Jesus fulfills the todah and adds a new element to it: His Body and Blood as food and drink! Jesus is a King/Priest just like Melchizedek!

  • @ChaseFowler0192, Have you ever wondered what city Melchizedek was the priest and king of? It was called Salem in the region known as Caanan. This city of Salem is known today as Jerusalem and it is where Jesus will be king and priest some day.

  • Is it open for debate here just wondering and if not please dont go crazy on me

  • Overwhelming facts worth knowing. Simply Incredible!

God is Great. Blessed be God forever and long live the Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, The true Church of Jesus Christ on earth.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Welldone and God bless †

  • I'm not sure that I would call it altogether "preterist", but that and what Gregg dubs the "spiritualist" view. The Revelation is more than just a simplistic picture of what "futurists" and "historicists" would like to be convenient for their particular organizations.

I don't like those particular categories, but I use those terms for familiar meaning.

  • I was honored to meet both of these men on Pilgrimage to Rome & Assisi in May 2007. If one is honestly seeking Truth, "Ask and it will be given." "Seek and you will find." "Knock and the door will be opened." Become docile to the Holy Spirit, trusting Him to lead you into all Truth. I "jumped into the Tiber" and swam back to the Catholic Church 3 years ago, as Scott did 22 years ago. It's great to be back Home in the Church Jesus built that has stood the test of time for over 2000 years!

  • Thank you I post on my English Page, God bless you

  • Genius.

  • Thank you Bruno for continuing to post these wonderful teachings and Catholic Truth.

    Pax,

    Rick
