Hey Sebolive, I wonder if you had a look at the flybarless version the Walkera V200DQ01. I would love to see you flying this one as I try to learn from people flying Helis, comparing it to me. I like to blame Helis most, but that is not always the answer :-)) Hope to see soon some more Videos. I am now living in Canada, missing England ;-)
Great Video, harmonic flight and controls. Bought one CB180Q and had only 3 hrs of 3 channel micro Helicopter experience. Now I can hover the full battery charge, land almost on a spot but now learning forward and side ways flight.
Hope to be as good as you are one day :-))
Got to learn slowly but steady :-))
Would love to see more of the CB180Q videos and even with a 1200 mah battery I only get a bit more than 9 minutes out.
Having said this, it flies nicer with the original 1000 mah almos
just bought one and I cant wait for it to come in, is there anything wrong with the settup on the tail rotor? from what ive seen it is a motor mounted in the back of the fuselage, but there is a gear at the end of the shaft, is it reliable and will it last
did you have to make any adjustments to the tail engine when you got it. When I got mine, it immediatly shook the tail rotor so bad one of the rotor blades broke off.
Since it has some auto stability features, it's a good move from a coax, although, if you can afford it, I would strongly recommend a Hirobo SRB Quark. It just the best FP helicopter available
@bassax7045 On some transparent work safety glasses. However, you can now buy on ebay some sunglasses with integrated camera, with a high video quality. Search for "sunglasses spy". Get a model with 720*480 AVI 30FPS
WHOOO I just ordered this last night, thanks for the vid I was wondering how it would handle wind, looks like it flies just like my Walkera 5G4Q3
btw my Walkera 5G4Q3 got away from me one day in a strong wind and it was just a speck on the horizon when it dropped at max TX range! stay close to the ground and you will be ok lol above the treeline the wind really picks up speed
I just started reseaching this heli..Is it really as easy to fly as a copter with coaxial blades..???and how is it holdng up..have you had any problems or crashes? thanks for great video
The standard battery is 1000mAh, so it depends the charger you are using and it's current.
I use a computerised Imax charger, so I can choose the speed of charging. If charging at 1C (or 1A/hour = 1000mAh), then it will take one hour for a fully discharged battery. If I choose 2C, it will take 30 minutes. I don't know what the rating of the standard charger is.
mine will arrive tomorrow.... How well do they do with slight breezes? Is there a lot of correcting to do? Or do the gyro's handle that pretty well on this heli?
you will struggle with any wind. The helicopter is a bit under-powered, and does not have much forward speed, due to the swashplate not tilting enough. Therefore, even if you go full forward, nose in the wind, it probably won't move.
aw yeah that sux, but I guess thats what i should expect anyways, I'm sure it will still be a fun helicopter as long at a park or even a well sheltered area...
@3255959 you can increase the servo movements with adjusting on the RX or extending the servo links, but difficult to do since removing the fuselage is hard.
@sebolive Thanks got have the sport model..she's all setup now..the key is flying on a calm day..and if it is a little windy a lot of space is a good idea also...its a nice copter to learn with
I don't think the gyro is really helping a helicopter with the wind. The gyro will make sure the helicopter is facing in the right direction, but won't control forward or side movements created by the wind.
Nice video and one of the better heli ones out there. You kept it very interesting by having the heli being follewed by your cameraman (unless that was you some how filming)...........
The fuselage does not split in halves, so you have to remove the entire rotor first to remove the fuselage from the bottom. Removing the stabiliser/flybar is quite hard, so this is why my advice is to go for the D version, without fuselage.
looking at walkera cb180q and esky dauphin. been flying syma alloy shark and find it way too easy. don,t want to get ESKY then find in two weeks i,m bored. i don,t mind a challenge which is what i think the CB180Q will give me. what do you think.? did you buy that from UK ? if so where from. please help.
I would advise to buy a CB180 after a coax heli, as a first single rotor one. The CB180 would not be a huge challenge to fly, due to its stabilisation features.
I wouldn't advise to buy the Q version but the D version instead, as the fuselage is impossible to remove, so difficult repairs.
I buy all my Walkera helis from Chinese Jade in Hong Kong. Usually recieved in 6 working days to the UK, and very competitive prices on helis and parts.
@sebolive. thanks for the reply. looked at the 180d and also esky honeybee V2. i have flew a V2 and liked it. think it would be similar to cb 180d. i prefer the realistic look thats why i,m swaying to the CB180Q. why wouldn,t you advise to buy the 180q? have you had bad experience with it.
As I said, the Q version has a fuselage that is impossible to remove, so in term of maintenance and repairs, I would buy a D instead. The fuselage looks very good, but is heavy and makes the heli more sensitive to wind. The D version would fly better.
If you are a total beginner, and have never flown a RC helicopter, then may not be the best to start with. Try a coaxial first (two main rotors), such as the Walkera Lama2-1
Everyone, please stand for youtubes national anthem

nice flying i was wondering how long it usually takes to charge the battery on it

depends the charger you are using. With the default charger, probably 45-60 minutes.

frame rate on camera.
