it's a part of the game, always has been. since hockey is a very physical sport players often get upset at one another and fight...or a fight is used to pump up your team if they are down....if fighting wasn't allowed you would see more cheap shots and more people being injured by cheap shots because players would not fear being beat up

Soccer players they do not develop the arms they have weaker upper bodies than the hockey players who must fight with sticks in corners while balancing on skates. A hockey player must think before taking a giant dive and staying down like he is dead because the other players won't stop until his team has the puck.

it's okay to jump someone if they "piss you off"?
people get pissed off at each other in football, soccer, baseball, basketball, etc.
in every one of those sports however, it's broken up and people are fined.

if you want fighting watch actual combat sports like mma or boxing.
like really, the idea of some guy proving how tough he is by picking a fight with a guy on skates... these guys only look tough next to each other.

It's all personal preference, I can't stand to watch MMA fighting, seems you have an undying love for it.. personal preference I guess. Would be more entertaining if they fought on ice though. I never said "it's gay" just looks pretty homoish though.

As dumb as you sound, you are right about hockey not being the best sport. There is no such thing as the "best " sport. However, there is no argument that they are some of the, if not the most skilled athletes in the world.

@Calebltp the most skilled athletes are probably in football(soccer) in every sport u use your hands. in your life you use ur hands but. in football(soccer) u have to use your feet ur going out of your element and that i think takes skill.. and plus running more then 200 yards a game.. but hockey is good also

Soccer players they do not develop the arms they have weaker upper bodies than the hockey players who must fight with sticks in corners while balancing on skates. A hockey player must think before taking a giant dive and staying down like he is dead because the other players won't stop until his team has the puck.
