@amsbindi1 It's wasn't that easy for me to get. You can't tell what string his fingers are on. I don't think he even reviewed the strings in the beginning of his video so for people who know nothing about it just wouldn't get it (probably) unless you're super smart which I admit I'm not that smart. I'm a little on the slow side.

@frmertd Yeah but it is harder to learn watching a video. You can barely tell which string his fingers are on. If you don't know the 4 strings right off you'll probably get confused.

i think you left out the first part of the song in your lesson . that can confuse the hell out of some body trying to learn it . if your going to teach , do it right man !

@youarenotverysmart It's a fiddle. If it were a violin it would be cleaner. But it's a fiddle. The rosin gives it character.

@taylorsloan89 What is the difference between the fiddle and the violin? If he's using a fiddle which I guess he is then it has the same strings as the violin e, a, d and g.

@canals22 a fiddle and violin is the same thing. However people who mainly play fiddle tunes call it a fiddle. Classical players refer to it as a violin. Also to make the violin better for these tunes the player carves down there bridge so you can double stop easier and even triple stop. But all together its the same thing =) hope this helps
