no you can not only watch the shared docs, typing in net use (drive) (ip)\c$ so for example i want to get the c drive of my neighbours on my drive F you should type in this:

net use F: \\192.168.0.101\C$

not really because of its security. on some windows xp computers, the ones that have been updated by microsoft maybe not be vulnerable. youll try to connect but it will say access denied. I even tried running "psexec" which is a tool ( for admins ) to run remote processes, the networked pc wouldnt let me connect. you might find that client computers, not home computers more vulnerable to this kind of attack.

no its not, sometimes vista requires a host name instead of the ip adress. your ip scanner should show both anyways, angry ip scanner does at least. i know its weird but i ran into the same problem. i just put the host name instead of the ip and it worked no problem. that should work....if its not network problems then you have a lot more work ahead of you ;) happy hacking

Get your facts right buddy. There are to kind of ip addresses. One is your network ip address that your router supplies you or your modem and one is the one your network provider supplies you. Router and modem ips usually start with 192 and network provider ones usualy start with 8. so Please get your facts straight as i am on a network with 4 other computers attached to a router and the ip address my router has given me is 192.168.1.2 also my freind next door who works on a different router sme
