  • How do you make the still image move around like that at 1:26???????

  • I'm guessing this isnt free...

  • so weeeeek!!!

  • O fuck it's my dad.

  • HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I totally have been looking and waiting for the answer for 6 MONTHS!!!1 I cannot figure out how to mak the effect at 1:26 and i need it!!!!!!!!!!! Please reply i HAVE to know. sorry if i sound rude BUT IM FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually, its only been 4 months... But the effect you are after knowing about is not just a PowerDirector effect. You would need to export clip stills from PowerDirector and do some work in Photoshop. Then import back into PowerDirector. The process is far too long to explain in depth in this reply. Your best bet is to contact the real experts on the Cyberlink PowerDirector forum.

    Regards, VanHiggy

  • @vanhiggy i know the comment says 4 months but ive been looking longer not just on this video :) lol thank you for replying :D

  • can you tell me how you did the moving head scene?? THANKS!

  • kids dont try this at home

  • How u do intro what effects did you use on it it looks cool

  • Hey when you have the head how do you get it to be like just the haed i always ha a white background

  • haha, definitely a white man dance!!

  • I have already done a green screen video. Try typing in 'Power Director News' into youtube search to watch it.

  • Quite an involved process that one. 2 identical timeline sequences running together but one of them running in the star shape cut out, with the negative effect added.

  • Quite an involved process that one. 2 identical timeline sequences running together but one of them running int he star shape cut out, with the negative effect added.

  • Do you remember what the effect is at 2:15 - 2:24 ???

  • hahahaha

    i like it

  • aff agora teho sertesa q os americanos sao gay

  • reviews say this product is not user friendly at all, what are your thoughts.. pretty good and easy to use?

  • Yes. as far as i'm concerned Powerdirector is the best (and easiest to use). Which user reviews have you read? Usually gets very good reviews. Definately best of the home user editing software, but not without its problems.

  • Great video. I'm looking into getting sone video editing software. I like Sony Vegas 10. But $599.00. That's alot! You made a video with alot of effects with software that costs alot less. I'll be looking into thus software. Thanks.

  • how did you do that on 1:50? thank you!!

  • how did you made that head moving

  • Too many effects is bad video. Keep it real. :-D

  • Yes, normally I would agree. But seeing as this video was made to demonstrate how many effects can be done with PowerDirector, it would be have been silly to only do a few. Anyway, I had to use as many effects as possible to hide my crap dancing!

  • wow ....you did all of this...and the damm stupid software never crashed !!

    LUCKY YOU !!!!

  • Turn off everything else thats running (including antivirus software) and you should find it crashes far, far less. (in theory anyway)

  • i put a video of number 1 infront of him

  • Many thanks kind sir.

  • ne ho visti di coglioni ma questo video li batte tutti

  • lolz so funny!!

  • very cool and that was fun

  • Mindfucked.

  • How did you do that head effect???

  • I feel like im acid watching this video :) 2:00 I lost control .

  • how did u make him float in like that in the beginning.?

  • nice

  • wow. you made my day with this video, i cant wait till i get this good with video editing. i just downloaded powerdirector 8 last night

  • awesome ! i have something like that program on my computer ..

  • cool demo

  • your like the embarrassing dad daughters always hide from!

  • you look ridiculous man

    stop embarrassing your self

  • You can't please all of the people all of the time. I'm a Dad... it's part of my job description to embarrass myself

  • Congratulations to your Dad...he is a real pro!!

  • Nice One!!

  • how did you do the intro to Warning!

  • Use a separate time line and drop the warning sign in at regular intervals of your own choice/spacing and add a clackston sound or other at the same time intervals.

  • Just drag the warning symbol into the time line at very short intervals as many times as you want and set length to 1 second.

  • cool stuff

  • whats the effect at 1:16???

  • Sorry, can't remember it's name but just scroll through all the effects and look at the sample screen on the right hand side. You should be able to sort out which one it is

  • what's the song called with the guitar solo fairly near the start?

  • The name of the song is "Lost my mind" composed by myself on a playstation 1 of all things with a software programme called "Music 2000"

  • @vanhiggy you played the guitar solo?

  • No. I have very little instrument playing ability. The guitar solo rif is just a selected sample that comes with the music 2000 software for the playststion 1. There is probably much more sofisticated software out there for the PC or PS3 these days but as with everything it's getting the time to learn how to use it. Just as with the PowerDirector software.

  • Sorry, I have no idea.

  • this is actually funny

  • why when im capturing a video i got a lot of frames loosed, i mean the video its stopping all the time

  • i know how to do it and that was kinda gay

  • @JRodMan15 Same here dude...I know how to do it and that was kinda gay=/

  • nice video

  • HAHAHA! Genius!! xD

  • how do i do more than 1 effect at a time instead of rite after each other???

  • 2 ways spring to mind. Either drag 1 effect on top of another in the main time line on the scene you want the effects on or drag one effect on the scene you want in the main time line and another effect into the effect line at the same point. Effects are better off in the effect line as you then have control over how long you want the effect to last.

  • did u fell gay dancing

  • LOL

  • NO ONES WANT TO SUBSCRIBE YOU IF YOU NOT TELL US HOW YOU DO THAT...!

  • holy moly those are sweet efffects, how did you do that head thing that follows your real head? thats really cool

  • Requires work in photoshop and then importing back into Power Director

  • funny :D

  • can u do these effects in powerdirector 8

  • how u got the head thingy do.... 1:27

  • hello

  • what is the name of the effect at 1:26

  • @MKTV77 0- yeah whats the name of that effect?

  • how did you do the effect with the face ? nice video

  • hey .. how to do this ...

  • lol i like Ur video and the effect but bad dance

  • o.k?

  • lol kewl video van 5***** =) you're pretty fly for a white guy.

  • what was the beginning music? i reconize it ?

  • funeral march

  • man how you made the moving face thing with the Cyberling PD because i also have the prog and i dont know how to do it and i am dying to know how its done!!! please answer me as soon as possible!!!!!!!

  • some funky stuff goin on here. really good effects.

  • Great EFFECTS VIDEO! had me cracking up. I just got power Directors 8 yesterday. I cant wait to master it. If you ever get the time Its be fantastic if you did a break down on how you did some of those effects.

  • very good video!!!But i Dont understand why such a good program like power director doesnt support custom masking(with a pen tool) and 3d perspective for videos(like sony vegas).I really dont..

  • Couldn't agree with you more. The 2 things I too, find invaluable are missing. So if your out there reading this post 'Mr Power Director Programmer' perhaps these 2 things can be sorted for the next version of Power Director. I could have done with the 3d perspective function in my other video... Power Director News! All the best, VanHiggy

    Great comment by the way.

  • @jkar1973 i a always wonder y..... but its great stilll ... all also wonder if it can do swirls an brushes like affect effect....

  • yo vanhiggy is the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0:22-0:31 is the coolest intro ive seen yet! u should have your own show!!

  • Your too kind. but thanks anyway, regards VanHiggy

  • i have studied your clone video and i've figured it out. the lighting isnt quite right but u get the picture ! check out the video on my site because of your video.

  • Can you do this with cyberlink powerdirector 8?

  • Yes. Everything you can do in powerdirector 7 you can do in PowerDirector 8 and more besides.

  • how to make a bobble head

  • he has boobies

  • Bobble Heads as you call them, require cut outs done from screen capture shots processed in Adobe Photoshop.

  • should have muted the video audio

  • Yea, It's not brilliant is it? Don't know who produced that sound track?... Oh yes, I remember now... It was ME!!!

  • I know it was you, still should have muted the video audio track to remove the sound of the clothes brushing each other and if you wanted to keep the claps just added them back in is all i was saying no need for sarcasm.....

  • My sincere apologies sir. As usual I have gotten hold of the wrong end of the stick... Sorry.

    Regards VanHiggy

  • palong palo si daddy^^

  • omg...super duper dancing..lol...really really nice dad

  • omg you are the best!

    from italy

  • One does ones best. I thank you.

  • you are welcome :D

  • how did you do that ? at 2:14 ? can you make a tutorial how to cut / paste faces in video ???

  • super!! bravooo

  • i was supposed to be here to see the effect, but i cant focus becuz you are so funny... lol....

  • what effect is 2:02

  • nice effects really, but ugly dance

  • Yea, thanks for that... Have a go at reproducing the negative image inside the star only effect. Then tell me again it's very simple.

  • 5 stars!

  • -.-'

  • Can you explain how you made the image of you slide in and point to you at your encore?

  • I'll try... First you take a snap shot from your video and save hi-res (or use any digital photo) Next open it up in a photo editing program (I use Photoshop) and cut-out yourself from the picture. delete the backgound content layer and then save your cut-out as a PNG file. Import this back into PowerDirector and drag it into a PIP time line. Click on your picture in the PIP track and then click 'modify'. Use the motion set up to move your picture in and out of shot. Many regards, VanHiggy

  • I use PD7. How did you do the xray??? effect?

    Thanks

  • The x-ray effect is simply selected from the effects tab and dragged into the effects time line. I think the effect is actually called X-ray. But applying the X-ray effect to just the inside of the star is far more complicated.

  • Found it thanks

  • i don't know..this video takes hours to load

  • Shouldn't have anything to do with the video. More than likely you have a slow broadband connection. Try viewing in standard quality and not HQ. Or alternativley try viewing at non-peak times. Don't believe the speed of your broadband until you've done a speed test. Most broadband suppliers rip you off speed wise.

    Regards... Higgy

  • terrible.......the dancing that is lol

  • Yep... it's taken me years to get that bad.

    Regards, VanHiggy

  • that was pretty snazzy. was it hard to use to create this project or was it fairly easy?

  • Cyberlink PowerDirector is very easy to use to produce great looking videos. But you will need plenty of spare time as complicated projects can take a long time to produce.

    Regards... VanHiggy

  • WOW..where did you get the special effects at? btw..Awesome video! keep up the good work.

i hope you have a great day.

    cheers,

    tanya.

  • All the effects are included in the Cyberlink PowerDirector software. it's just a case of finding out how to use them. Many thanks and keep editing.

  • with cyberlink powerdirector 7 are you able to import your own music like from your own files or can you only use the music they provide ?

this video is so funnny =) xx

  • Sure. You just need to first select 'Audio' near the top of the screen, then click on the import button. Next just direct it to your own music files and select the track you require.

  • thank you so much x

  • hahahaha is video is funny hahaha i love powerdirector 7

  • hey do you listen to the band Hillsong?

  • No... why do you ask? is there some relevance to one of my videos?

  • just wondering. cause when i read 'praise the Lord that it's over'. i was thinking you're familiar with there music they're praise n worship band from Australia. cool vid btw.

  • goood onee....

i have question how did u do the slide show? and colors and freeze the vedio??

  • Drag all your pictures into the time line and then select the 'slide show' tab. To change colours select your video track and then select 'edit video' and then 'colours'. Freezing the video is a bit more complicated and requires you to take a snapshot of your frame and then place the snapshot into a PIP track.

  • Thank you so muchh!! ur the best in power director!

  • haha 2:30 is hilarious!!!! LOL good editing!!! :)))))

  • when i use some of these affects it slows down the video clip so it cant finish and it freezes how can i fix this?

  • A common problem on lower spec computers. I recommend at least a 3ghz dual core processor and 4 meg of RAM if possible. Powerdirector is very demanding on processor power. The best bet regardless of your processing power and RAM is to close ALL other programmes running in the back ground. But my best tip of all would be to disconnect from the internet and then turn off your Anti virus software. Programmes like Norton Antivirus are renowned for slowing things down. Try it an see how you get on.

  • Hey! i think this video was amazing. I would definitely watch it again a few times in the future in order to get ideas on special effects to add to my own videos.

Do you think you could tell me how to do the greenscreening on PD7? I just got it today and have been playing around with it's features. THANKS!

  • Green screening is done from the effects tab. Select your green screen clip. Select the colour replacement effect and drag over your green screen clip. Then click on the modify tab. Use the pipet tool to select your green background and adjust the sensitivity accordingly. Make sure your Green screen clip is in a new PIP track and your background track is in the main time line. Note... Power Director is NOT the best video editing software to use for Green screening. Best of luck.

  • Hello Mister vanhiggy,

Well done, i think you are very handy with the PowerDirector 7.

My cam produces *.MOD files (JVC Everio) and PowerDirector 7 is the only program wich can handle with those files.

And indeed very time consuming hobby.

    I rated you with a 5.

  • haha ... its awesome~~ ... now could u make tutorials on how to use the tools in power director?? :P haha~ jokes... btw... do u know if power director 7 can do that effect where the background is green and u edit it on pc to put any pic or video?? (wat is that effect called and which program lets u do that?) its like on the movies and stuff...

if you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated~ ^^

You can chcek out my One Man Band - Highway to hell, did that in powerdirector 7 too~ :P

  • Green screening can be done with PD7 but its not the best programme for this. Try a programme called FXHome CompositeLab Pro. You can download a trial version off the internet for free to try before you buy. PD7's version of Green Screen isn't particularly good, but everthing else about the programme is very good. Especially if you are new to video editing.

  • ahh.... alright! ^^ Thanx alot~ I'll try FXHome CompositeLab Pro~

    Keep Awesome~ ^^

  • I really want to get it but i don't know if it's worth it... is it??? think it would be good for a 12 year old???

  • Ideal for anyone new to video editing. You can achieve great results quickly and easily.

  • Pretty sweet effeects, i was wondering if i should get CPD7... Do you recomend it?

  • In a word.. 'YES' It's easy to use if you are relatively new to video editing. It is also reasonably priced and has a wide choice of transitions, titles and special effects. Most everything you would need in 1 package. Just make sure your computer and graphics card are up to spec. I would recommend at least a 3ghz dual core prcessor with an nvidia 8800gt graphics card or higher.

  • Ok, Thanks so much!

  • haha thats sick is it easy?

  • easy-ish, but very time consuming
