I totally have been looking and waiting for the answer for 6 MONTHS!!!1 I cannot figure out how to mak the effect at 1:26 and i need it!!!!!!!!!!! Please reply i HAVE to know. sorry if i sound rude BUT IM FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, its only been 4 months... But the effect you are after knowing about is not just a PowerDirector effect. You would need to export clip stills from PowerDirector and do some work in Photoshop. Then import back into PowerDirector. The process is far too long to explain in depth in this reply. Your best bet is to contact the real experts on the Cyberlink PowerDirector forum.
We are calling for all PowerDirector Masters. Here is your chance to showcase and share your tips and tricks of PowerDirector 9 and the top tutorial makers will be awarded with great prizes. What's more, you can enter as many tutorials as you want.
For more details visit CyberLink’s official website and click on the "Who is the PowerDirector Video Tutorial Master?" banner at the bottom of the page.
Quite an involved process that one. 2 identical timeline sequences running together but one of them running in the star shape cut out, with the negative effect added.
Quite an involved process that one. 2 identical timeline sequences running together but one of them running int he star shape cut out, with the negative effect added.
Yes. as far as i'm concerned Powerdirector is the best (and easiest to use). Which user reviews have you read? Usually gets very good reviews. Definately best of the home user editing software, but not without its problems.
Great video. I'm looking into getting sone video editing software. I like Sony Vegas 10. But $599.00. That's alot! You made a video with alot of effects with software that costs alot less. I'll be looking into thus software. Thanks.
Yes, normally I would agree. But seeing as this video was made to demonstrate how many effects can be done with PowerDirector, it would be have been silly to only do a few. Anyway, I had to use as many effects as possible to hide my crap dancing!
Use a separate time line and drop the warning sign in at regular intervals of your own choice/spacing and add a clackston sound or other at the same time intervals.
Sorry, can't remember it's name but just scroll through all the effects and look at the sample screen on the right hand side. You should be able to sort out which one it is
No. I have very little instrument playing ability. The guitar solo rif is just a selected sample that comes with the music 2000 software for the playststion 1. There is probably much more sofisticated software out there for the PC or PS3 these days but as with everything it's getting the time to learn how to use it. Just as with the PowerDirector software.
2 ways spring to mind. Either drag 1 effect on top of another in the main time line on the scene you want the effects on or drag one effect on the scene you want in the main time line and another effect into the effect line at the same point. Effects are better off in the effect line as you then have control over how long you want the effect to last.
man how you made the moving face thing with the Cyberling PD because i also have the prog and i dont know how to do it and i am dying to know how its done!!! please answer me as soon as possible!!!!!!!
Great EFFECTS VIDEO! had me cracking up. I just got power Directors 8 yesterday. I cant wait to master it. If you ever get the time Its be fantastic if you did a break down on how you did some of those effects.
very good video!!!But i Dont understand why such a good program like power director doesnt support custom masking(with a pen tool) and 3d perspective for videos(like sony vegas).I really dont..
Couldn't agree with you more. The 2 things I too, find invaluable are missing. So if your out there reading this post 'Mr Power Director Programmer' perhaps these 2 things can be sorted for the next version of Power Director. I could have done with the 3d perspective function in my other video... Power Director News! All the best, VanHiggy
i have studied your clone video and i've figured it out. the lighting isnt quite right but u get the picture ! check out the video on my site because of your video.
I know it was you, still should have muted the video audio track to remove the sound of the clothes brushing each other and if you wanted to keep the claps just added them back in is all i was saying no need for sarcasm.....
I'll try... First you take a snap shot from your video and save hi-res (or use any digital photo) Next open it up in a photo editing program (I use Photoshop) and cut-out yourself from the picture. delete the backgound content layer and then save your cut-out as a PNG file. Import this back into PowerDirector and drag it into a PIP time line. Click on your picture in the PIP track and then click 'modify'. Use the motion set up to move your picture in and out of shot. Many regards, VanHiggy
The x-ray effect is simply selected from the effects tab and dragged into the effects time line. I think the effect is actually called X-ray. But applying the X-ray effect to just the inside of the star is far more complicated.
Shouldn't have anything to do with the video. More than likely you have a slow broadband connection. Try viewing in standard quality and not HQ. Or alternativley try viewing at non-peak times. Don't believe the speed of your broadband until you've done a speed test. Most broadband suppliers rip you off speed wise.
Cyberlink PowerDirector is very easy to use to produce great looking videos. But you will need plenty of spare time as complicated projects can take a long time to produce.
Sure. You just need to first select 'Audio' near the top of the screen, then click on the import button. Next just direct it to your own music files and select the track you require.
just wondering. cause when i read 'praise the Lord that it's over'. i was thinking you're familiar with there music they're praise n worship band from Australia. cool vid btw.
Drag all your pictures into the time line and then select the 'slide show' tab. To change colours select your video track and then select 'edit video' and then 'colours'. Freezing the video is a bit more complicated and requires you to take a snapshot of your frame and then place the snapshot into a PIP track.
A common problem on lower spec computers. I recommend at least a 3ghz dual core processor and 4 meg of RAM if possible. Powerdirector is very demanding on processor power. The best bet regardless of your processing power and RAM is to close ALL other programmes running in the back ground. But my best tip of all would be to disconnect from the internet and then turn off your Anti virus software. Programmes like Norton Antivirus are renowned for slowing things down. Try it an see how you get on.
Hey! i think this video was amazing. I would definitely watch it again a few times in the future in order to get ideas on special effects to add to my own videos.
Do you think you could tell me how to do the greenscreening on PD7? I just got it today and have been playing around with it's features. THANKS!
Green screening is done from the effects tab. Select your green screen clip. Select the colour replacement effect and drag over your green screen clip. Then click on the modify tab. Use the pipet tool to select your green background and adjust the sensitivity accordingly. Make sure your Green screen clip is in a new PIP track and your background track is in the main time line. Note... Power Director is NOT the best video editing software to use for Green screening. Best of luck.
haha ... its awesome~~ ... now could u make tutorials on how to use the tools in power director?? :P haha~ jokes... btw... do u know if power director 7 can do that effect where the background is green and u edit it on pc to put any pic or video?? (wat is that effect called and which program lets u do that?) its like on the movies and stuff...
if you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated~ ^^
You can chcek out my One Man Band - Highway to hell, did that in powerdirector 7 too~ :P
Green screening can be done with PD7 but its not the best programme for this. Try a programme called FXHome CompositeLab Pro. You can download a trial version off the internet for free to try before you buy. PD7's version of Green Screen isn't particularly good, but everthing else about the programme is very good.
