I am not a military wife but I am the proud mother of an American Soldier currently serving in Afghanistan. I have the great honor and privilege to associate with many of the wives of his National Guard Troop and they are strong, supportive individuals who stand beside their husbands. One of these women is my daughter in law who is their first child. Just as I am proud of my son and the men he serves with, I am equally as proud of the women who stand behind them. Thank you for this tribute.

i was there frm october till april this year . its very hard i aint guna tell u it is but it brings u closer makes u realise how much u really do love him it did me .. my soldier goes back out next year but he will miss his babies 1st xmas and 1st birthday .. it goes quick sum days but evry day u will be sitting by that phone waiting for him to call i no u will .. ur strong u'll suprise urself xx

Keep at it, My Brotehr has done 17yrs in the Artillary and my father served for 24 yrs. When i was 16 i tried but am blind in one eye, so there wouldn't have been any active service for me at that time. rules have since changes. But i have persued other avenues since. keep up the good work!

I have served in Iraq. And they had Weapons, Of course we would hae weapons. You make good points but you dont understand what your talking about. I have NO glory in killing. I do the dirty work that you dont have to. I get up at 0500 to protect your ass. Until you have an M-16 in your hand in the middle of a desert and watch Insurgants Kill your friends, your fellow soldiers, then you know why we kill.

I was in the first Gulf War in 1991. It was hard leaving my Fiance (now wife) it was hard being away from her. It was the most wonderful thing to be in her arms again when I returned. Just seeing her there waiting for me was the greatest thing. We have been married since 1993. (We would have been married sooner but School and International (She's German) Bureaucracy got in the way.) For the women standing behind their men down range, I salute you.

I am not a military wife but I am the proud mother of an American Soldier currently serving in Afghanistan. I have the great honor and privilege to associate with many of the wives of his National Guard Troop and they are strong, supportive individuals who stand beside their husbands. One of these women is my daughter in law who is their first child. Just as I am proud of my son and the men he serves with, I am equally as proud of the women who stand behind them. Thank you for this tribute.
