I have a suggestion. In order to make it an even more useful and great song writing tool as well as a great production tool would you consider add a midi export or TechnoBox File format + an AudioUnits instrument so you can take the songs you create in TechnoBox on your iphone and complete them and tweak them in Logic Pro? If you did this you'd have just about the most useful music App on the market.
Only wish: to be able to synchronise an uneven rhythm chosen on the synth with the drums--like, would be very very nice to have a (number of)"steps" button for the drum section too, or just tie it to the choice of the synth's pattern steps number.Or may-be this function is there but i missed it?Thanks!!
Wow, now i've found how to make variable pattern length on the synth: i press SHIFT, choose number of steps and press "repeat" (if it is not pressed by default--the "random" seems to stay lit/pressed by default). Also the "alter" button gives very nice variations using the same notes you choose (since random may stray away from a given theme, depending on the intention of the musician)!
Actually i went to the manual and i think it is old--it doesn't tell me how to choose a 5 or 7 notes (or any) pattern end. I think the manual is old because it doesn't mention even FX.
Please--a hint at how to choose my pattern length :D!
@hallobaaaby The manual doesn't cover the 1.5 update, but you should be able to find the FX by hitting the button. You can set the pattern length of the 303 by hitting the shift (lower left corner) and then the Step display says Steps and you can set the length from 1-64 steps. The 909 patterns are fixed to 16 steps still.
Just got it! The sound is very nice! With added FX and cunch it can be very NASTY :D
Now, i know i should go to the site and read the manual, but how do i decide if a pattern should be, let's say, 7/8 or 5/8 ? How do i tell the sequencer to start repeating after the 7th note? I see only a button to switch from 808 to 909, i can't find the 303 button? Now i know how retarded this questions must sound to you --haha
Wow!-really!! I haven't checked the latest version because i don't own copy of the prog but am rushing to the istore this very minute! I have Bassline though and it is very nice--it has the variable lengths (i think it's also your prog from the series?)
what ever happened with the ADM and the issue with not being able to use separate outs in Logic? I saw a posting from Jan 08 that you were working on it, any progress?

Thanks alot--very nice instrument! Future version wish: have the "steps" (number of steps per pattern) for the drum as well.
Now i'll surely record some pieces with it!
Best luck with creation!
