Sabbirsa,I am not talking about people`s accents here.Fact of the matter is that the middle/upper class of india donot wish to be associated with thier own mother language due to their own inferiority complex. Did you know that French have made concious efforts to eradicate english words from their vocabulary. That is what i call a proud nation of proud language? I donot for a moment underestimate the importance of english, but for god sake dont treat your own language like second-class citizen.

It is actually the other way round my dear friend. The french people ruled over people from England for more than 200 years and the influence of French on the English language is astounding. As far as eradicating English words from their vocab is concerned, I am really amused as English has very few words of its own.
