i had this happen - seriously it took them an hour , two doctors and nurses..to get it out and I went to the ER right away as soon as it entered.. I was sleeping.. and believe me I slapped it off my face a few times before it ran in. It was painful as hell... I was screaming and a cockroach is the worse since they run fast adn their legs go crazy against your eardrum. You have no idea unless you get one yourself.

@komjong Not true at all... they panic and squirm /bore in even more getting stuck against ur eardrum. Ur right if you have the knowledge and someone there to help.. It is possible if you first kill it so its stops moving (oil they say) and then add water but still someone has to be there to take it out. I did not know this nor did I have anyone around to help. I thought it was an urban myth so when it happened to me I grabbed my purse and coat and got to the ER right away. You panic!

One night I fell asleep on my couch and bingo a tiny baby roach crawled into my left ear. Feeling it crawl around in there drove me absolutely nuts. desperately googling a remedy I tried pouring the warm water in my ear and the dirty little critter came out of my ear immediately.
