At least their clapping, while behind due to the fact that the sound waves are traveling to and then from the audience (causing it to be behind), is on the "te" of every beat-- the off beat for those who don't use that terminology :) So it's not really off beat even due to the speed of the actual song itself - were the song any faster or slower, it wouldn't be so.

it's not exactly the audiences fault. it's probably the echo from the clapping. the sound isn't reaching the mics fast enough to keep up with the music. at least that's my theory

This Japanese Orchestra fails at playing this. There's American Jazz in Swing De Chocobo and they lack the feeling of Jazz and the ability to make the Jazz flow flawlessly.
