To a certain extent the gear do affect the pedalics but you have to bear in mind that Rollers don’t offer much resistance.
They are better used for for technique, warming up and recovery spins.

Hi, may I ask you a question? Is it true that by shifting gear you adjust the resistance? I mean, does it change anything if you change gear? Thanks.

@giomoro Yes, the resistance is changed, but you get more leverage, so you can go faster.

I own these rollers too. Great for a recovery session and spinning away after a hard day. Not as hard as a Turbo trainer for resistance but if you go hard and fast you will get a sweat on.
