  • @Justinchase10261, people like call everything rice! Just jealous you don't own one! Lol

  • wher the fulx capacitor

  • sounds way better than the stage 1

  • As long as you can hit 88mph you should be fine Mcfly.

  • yea cool car but why dont u get a newer car and put delorean doors on it? cost about the same and youll have a car with 5k miles vs 100k...

  • @bl4ze20uNcEs Because a Delorean is an investment that appreciates in value rather than depreciates. It's the real deal piece of automotive history.

Plus putting gullwings on a car that was never designed for it guarantees that you'll be a laughing stock among car enthusiasts. Save your self respect and dont ever put stupid doors on a car never designed for them.

If anyone wants a car like a Delorean, then work hard until you can get one.

  • @johnnyd83 yeah i was gonna put em on my enzo.. thats why i asked why not buy a real car?

  • @bl4ze20uNcEs Fact remains, an Enzo costs as much as a house (a BIG house) and loses half it's value as soon as it's titled. Hold on to a Delorean for 20 years and it would be worth more than the used Enzo. In 20 years, I'm sure they will be in high demand in the United States of China.

Which car would I want to take to the track? Of course the Enzo, and I even own an 83 Delorean, vin 15575.

Which would I rather own in my own garage? Delorean, hands down.

  • @johnnyd83 either way in a few years ill just buy the newer ferrari.. No biggie to me. Nice delorean tho

  • @bl4ze20uNcEs That's the spirit, shoot for the stars. Just don't blaze 2 ounces before the drug test for the job you'd have to get that pays enough to afford a Ferrari.

  • @johnnyd83 good 1

  • So in back to the future the engines were different than the originals. I live in Ct and we rarely get any deloreans in our car shows. Only if is at Hartford. So thank you for uploading this and sharing it with us.

  • YEAH BABY STAGE 2!

I'm looking towards getting the upgrade sometime in the future.

  • i love delorean cars... but i got a little bit dissapointed when i saw the speedo... only goes to 85... it seems to be a sport car

  • @fbnloco the speedo went to 85mph due to federal regulations. All cars required them at the time. The top speed for this Delorean should be around 130mph.

  • I want one.

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppp!!!

    VRRROm.

    That guy is lucky.

BTW, can you modify the buzzer? It sucks.

  • now thats the way it should have always sounded!

  • Sounds like a good sporty small-displacement engine - which I'm sure it is.

Personally though, I'd try to fit a V-8 in there - It's my understanding that in Back tothe Future the sound of a v-8 was dubbed in and I'd like my de lorean to sound like that :)

Also V-8s are totally badass in general

  • it was actually intended to have a V-8 in initial designing, but in the 80s there was a fuel shortage so they went with a V-6 to try and help the car's MPG. But even on the 6, the thing can pull like 200 horses and on a 2700 pound car that's pretty awesome.

  • @levethix Actually, It was intended to have a 4 Cylinder engine built by Citroen. The 6 Cylinder engine that DMC went with was manufactured directly from Volvo and produced 130hp with 145lb torque.

  • @Delorean4981 pretty sure the engine was jointly manufactured by peugeot, renault, and volvo. hadn't heard about the 4 cylinder thing, but someone had told be the V8 thing was the case. he must've confused it with the Citroën Wankel rotary engine that initial designs were thinking about stuffing back there.

  • @Delorean4981 also the 200 horses comment was more for the stage II. i am well aware of the original engine's specifications.

  • @Delorean4981 Nope! The Engine was from a Renault.

  • @Delorean4981 Actually, it was supposed to be a rotary by Citroen. It isn't a volvo, it's a Puegeot/Reanault

  • @noobasdfjkl Actually it IS a Peugeot/Renault/Volvo engine. That is why it is called the PRV engine. Wikipedia it, takes only a second.

  • @bpowersman5000 Obviously the not a volvo part was a mistake because volvo joined in 71. And besides, what do you think FRENCH DESIGNED AND PRODUCED means?

    Dick

  • @levethix 170bhp in europe, 130 in North America because of Cat. Converter.

  • @noobasdfjkl the 200 was talking more about the stage II engine, not the initial engine that came stock with the car...

  • is tht the only color those come in?

  • its not colour its stainless steel

  • its stainless steal but it does come in black and i have seen red and yellow so there are some coloers for it

  • Sounds sweet on idle, congrats on a timeless classic ;)

  • woaw that's a bitch'in car!!! when I get my DeLorean, I am so putting stage 2 in it :)

    5dmc1

  • lucky bastard

  • You'll have to change the time travel set point from 88mph to 95mph to prevent nuisance time hops.

  • that shit gets annoying.

  • WHat accidental time travel? I agree. I changed my set point to 100 mph.

  • moving the time circuit control switch to anywhere except behind the gear shift would solve the problem too. This day and age, I'm sure a button on the dash can do the same job as the Y switch of old.

  • I love this car soo much. Sounds amazing. Reminds me of my delorean in Gran Turismo haha.

  • I love every ounce of it, exept for that ungodly whine it makes when u start it.

  • thanks..... ahhh and the whine is the door open/keys in the ignition warning buzzer. I know most owners pull it out.... I've just kind of got used to it lol

  • Brilliant.... just been reading the compliments below.... didn't realise the video of my De was on Youtube.

Had a couple more things done to her since then too.... mainly a refurbed leather interior.

Cheers for sticking this up anyway

  • That car sounds Badass!

  • @iOzzniac you've gotta be kidding me...sounds like a fucking ricer...

  • @JustinCase10261 You're an idiot.

  • That Stage 2 engine upgrade looks and sounds awesome! Too bad it cost around $6,000 and up. Plus you have to be put on a waiting list.

  • 6000?!?!

How much power does it add?

  • 197hp. In a car only weighing 2900 pounds you'll have a 0-60 of under 7 seconds. There is a Stage 3 upgrade coming out that will you a 0-60 of 5 seconds. This car was designed to look cool and get you around. With some mods you can make them a lot of fun to drive.

  • Well, to each his own. I just wouldn't spend that much money to get so little.

    Less than $2000 for my 240, around 300whp, 2800lbs.

  • This upgrade was done in the UK and didn't cost anywhere near that.... was more like £1500 or $3000

  • which DMC did you get it from

  • The engine is mounted in the rear, so it is rear well drive. Since there is no power steering, this makes the car significantly lighter in the front, so there is no need for it.

  • yeah, too light! 35/65 weight distribution?????? Deloreans should have come with sandbags or lead bars to help correct oversteer!

  • @Delorean4981 Not all RWD are mid engine. And it's really a problem with a 65/35 back to front weight ratio.

  • same here!! one question though, are deloreans rear or front engine normally?

  • That's my kind of Delorean! You are a very lucky individual! That would rank up there with wiining the lotto for me. Take good care of it.
