I have friends that are American! Canada and the USA need each other! why? becuase Canada and the USA kick ass together and do a great job doing it! We help other countries that have no one to fight for them or help them and just stand there and watch. Thumbs up for Canada and USA!

  • thankyou to allof you,i like my Canadian Military,Good blace you

  • American Military with Canadian Military we are an unstoppable force

  • Two words: Hell Yes.

  • "In France, at a fairly large conference, Prime Minister Steven Harper was asked by a French cabinet minister if Canadian involvement in Afghanistan was just an example of 'empire building.'

"Mr. Harper answered by saying, 'Over the years, Canada has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.

  • @HotXingVG great comment, bless our troops, past present, and future

  • at 1:54 i guy is on fire i feel very very very very very sorry for him i thought canada suferd heavy cahuiltys but after seeing this video i stand corrected

  • 1:52 Oh sit!

  • people i hate

    1.hitler

    2.osama

  • It's really misleading to portray soldiers as if they have some noble cause...

Romanticizing war is just another way of gaining widespread approval of it. It's not noble to volunteer to risk your life for the purpose of satisfying your country's greed.

It isn't hard to see how immoral war is. Becoming desensitized to general ethical standards is part of every soldiers training.

Though "freedom" is the presupposition of any "democracy", it isn't the presupposition of war.

  • @Kourangi ...do explain what a soldier's ethical standards are. I gotta read this.

  • @Kourangi you're canadian I guess...please explain to me what noble cause would be worth fighting for? no one volunteers to risk their life in the CF. Thats just stupid.. give your head a shake. as for your opinion it portrays your arrogance, it portrays your opportunity to spew your indifference, and you pretend to be clever. another waste of a canadian citizenship.

  • @warrentur Well, let's give some military education to the ignorant. Canada has not had conscription since World War II, against the popular vote of the citizens. The brave that sign up VOLUNTARILY for military duty in Canada do know the risks, and do realize that yes, they may lose their lives, as we have witnessed too many times over in the last few years. So, perhaps you should get your facts straight before you "spew your indifference". and yes, I'm a PROUD Canadian!

  • @rooneycan1953 well first of all numb nuts I am an active member of the CF. I do understand what it means to sign on the dotted line. WHAT IS YOUR POINT? Join the military, show canada how "proud" you are. ...dick.

  • @warrentur oh my god, please tell me you're joking, or at least trolling, because any 5 year old can google "are canadian soldiers volunteers" and see that they all are. Every single one of them. And every one that died has risked their lives. Also, do you understand the meaning of indifference?

  • @IzzydaLlama indifference to what? Yes I volunteered. Speaking of your indifference....Clearly you have no clue what volunteer means. You might want to go to a recruiting centre and ask. ignorance is bliss.

  • @warrentur indifference means to not care. If he's giving his opinion, he is CLEARLY NOT INDIFFERENT. I'm glad you volunteered (proud of you all!) but then why would you say no one has volunteered when you yourself have... I don't understand your logic

  • @IzzydaLlama...again...you just simply dont understand what happens at the signatory point of commitment to Canada.

That aside, clearly you dont understand a parliamentary system either or Canada's role in NATO. Your/his vote ( u have given authority to the governing body in Ottawa) directly determines Canada's Nato commitment. You may rethink about his/your indifference/opinions.

  • @warrentur well, despite that being a completely different topic, I DO value Canada's part in NATO and everything they're doing. I do not hate on the canadian forces, nor the american army. and that's still not indifferent, but hey, whatever makes you happy...

  • @Kourangi war is the presupposition to freedom, tyranny, communism, religious fundamentalism, oppression etc etc etc

  • to all people who hat our military protecting us move your fuckin ass to a midle eastern country with all your rights being taken away from you and tyell us how much you enjoy it!!!

  • god bless these two great contrys USA and Canada

  • YOU WANT PEACE PREPARE FOR WAR

  • my heart goes out to those brave men and women, maby one day i'll join them

  • Video is awesome, Im a Canadian soldier myself, few of the boys from my unit are in the video. Thanks again, means alot.

  • I agree with SvBaines :)

  • God bless these innocent occupiers.

  • Who ever is the 5 people who disliked this video, u can all go to war. Kty

  • @EternitaLove I am the sixth who disliked and i went to war, but in my county, defending it, not in Iraq or Libya, for oil . Fuck you imperialists!

  • a lot of these bashers are just retarded ignorant collage kids, their minds poisoned by some liberal professor, let these kids go to war, see how long they last without their iphones and ear spacers. IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE COURAGE TO RISK/GIVE YOUR LIFE FOR OTHERS THEN DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT OPENING YOUR MOUTH AGAINST THESE BRAVE MEN AND WOMAN! SHOW SOME RESPECT

  • I am the widow of a Canadian Military Officer. It brings tears to my eyes to watch these vids., but I find myself gravitating to them often. Thank you for posting them and for demonstrating that these 'soldiers' are actually 'human', with human feelings and that they have families that love them.

  • My fiancee is a Captain in the American military.'mproud as hell of him. He risks his life daily to ensure Afghanis have the same freedoms that we take for granted. to all those that talk shit about thearmed forces get some balls and make a difference instead of spouting hatred from behind a computerscreen.,

  • i don't hate soldiers. i hate wars and people who play with soldiers' lives to get economical and political capital. and i'm fed up to being told that soldiers in middle east are figthing for my liberty and my safety: this is not true. sadly for them and for me, they are being manipulated and they are dying for fuckin nothing more than greed of powerful people.

  • @ubertin i agree in many ways, people fight for an ideal that just doesn't make sense; but the reason i joined the forces was to make a difference and despite the political or economic standing of our country i'd glady give my life to save another's ... and that is the belief of virtually all the people i have served with. I think that in itself is enough to have earned the public's gratitude instead of bashful remarks towards our forces

  • @LiLRuss31 i can see that to give your life for another is a great and noble thing. one sets his own goals for his life. i can respect that, and i salute that kind of comitment. what i cannot respect is, again, people in position of power who risks lives of soldiers for reasons that are very less noble than yours. i tend to see a little vietnam in each and every military conflict taking place these days. i lack the capacity, after rwanda, to see how politicians are working for the greater good.

  • @LiLRuss31 Thank you sir. I plan to join the Canadian forces, this is everything that was needed to be said. Thank you

  • @ubertin "The honour and nobility of the few is often shrouded by the greed and lust for power of the many"

  • @LiLRuss31 that's quite accurate, good sir. wish you a prosper life and may you never have to die for that lust of power of the many, ;)

  • @ubertin People who help other people doesn't sound like manipulation to me. "Your" liberty? no and I think that's the confusing bit. Isn't there ever a time when someone else (mothers, children, prisoners of conscience, even if they aren't Americans) count? enough to say, "Enough," and intervene? I'd do it for you

  • @ubertin In Afghanistan, we weren't there to hunt terrorist or look for WMDs. We were there simply to help. The children walking the streets in Zhari or the old men and women who couldn't move about freely in their villages NEEDED us. I honestly don't have the time to worry about the greed of my country, atleast I'm helping those people and my own country is still free. I'm not being manipulated and you think you're the only one who understands government structure? No. You're not the

  • @MrClaytonAlex i understand your point, and i see why people like you goes there to help, and again, i can't be against this. i didn't say you are directly manipulated, i say that harper's government didn't send soldiers out there to simply help (yeah, rwanda? darfour? koweit?), there is a lot to win with the usa by doing this, and there goes the manipulation. i'm not considering you like a idiot unable to think. don't treat me such as.

  • @ubertin I understand your points as well. I have worked in an MLA's and MP's office for many years and I stand completely with the government of Canada, do I stand behind Harper? No, I feel he isn't the best PM we've ever had, but my loyalties lie to Canada, so I'll do what he says. He may send me overseas to do his bidding, but while I'm there I'm going to help with whatever I can. So if soldiers are being sent over for improper reasons, they still have the chance to do what is right. I

  • @MrClaytonAlex i think we may have more in common that we both think and i like to read that you're working your best to help people despite the general conservative schema. i have three friends in the army, including my brother, and beside him, i would not be able to say so for them. that's soothing, hehe.

  • @ubertin Harper didnt send our soldiers to Kandahar.

    ~Thanato

  • @ubertin only one who's looked at our government that way. All soldiers have and we're still doing what we're doing. You're the only one stupid enough to stop and think bitching about political greed is actually something soldiers even remotely agree with or worry about.

  • @MrClaytonAlex well, fyi, a significant portion of canada thinks this way (maybe you were interested in the last elections?) at last, if you can't have a simple and gentle discussion about something that doesn't just affect you, as a soldier, well, again, there is a problem with the way you understand the concept of democracy.

  • @ubertin respect your values and your drive, but the significant portion of Canada you talk about isn't strong enough. If someday that changes, I would be more than happy to support it. Your idea of democracy and the one in place in our country are two different things currently. Is one fair and the other not? No, but with a majority government, it's difficult to make yourself heard.

  • @MrClaytonAlex Gives me someone to talk to haha, I have two brothers, ones a police officer and the other a social worker... They don't really follow politics like I do.

  • @ubertin you elected the government in Ottawa (either directly by supporting the governing party or indirectly by a minority party). Decisions on how a government is run is determined by an election. in other words by the people who show up and vote. The military takes its orders from Ottawa-therefore u the voter.

The government of the day says go...we go..and u put those people in charge...take issue with your decision to elect a pro Nato party not the soldiers. Think before u vote

  • @warrentur i'm quite sadden by the way you understand democracy. if you think that all is said and set the moment you vote, you're very cynic person.

  • @ubertin no Im not cynical, I am an informed voter.

  • i agree with firestar99999, kodiak 66 ,put your helmet on and get on the short bus and go to school, from whitby, ontario,CANADA

  • Nicely done video.

  • my buddy shoots that i believe its a howitzer at 1:35

  • I don't think many ppl are trying to insult then men and women who fight.. it's not they that take action and give orders.. it's when a country sends out young men and women to die in a war they have no right starting..

  • I fell bad that not everyone all over the world could see the way our brothers fight in order for us to fell good and happy ! Thank you for showing me this great video !

  • @canadamatt94 Supporting your troops and all you have to do is attack fellow members of your country, let alone the homophobic comments in there! Your a disgrace to Canada!

  • Dosen't EVERYBODY deserve to live in a free country?

  • @Konoton01...I believe only people who have a greater understanding of the appreciation they owe to those who sacrificed everything in order for them to be living in that free country should be able to. If you can respect that sacrifice then you can respect life and what it means to truly be "free"

  • @LiLRuss31

So you need to thank dead soldiers for your freedom, in-order to deserve that freedom?

You think they were doing it for your thanks? I don't.

And how do you define a "greater understanding"? Is there a certain level of understanding we have to attain to deserve our freedom?

I beleive that everyone deserves freedom, with no qualifications.

  • @Konoton01 I don't need to thank fallen soldiers... I have lost 7 friends who were like brothers to me fighting overseas for a greater cause then the media may portray. Not a day goes by i dont think about there sacrifice and after that sacrifice is given i still witness the naive ignorance and immaturity that takes place daily about which celebrity is dating who. I give thanks for anyone who will risk it all just to see people such as you and I live happily and peacefully .

  • @LiLRuss31

You've misconstrued my response. I didn't mean 'you' specifically.

Additionally, the rest of your first response is nothing but an emotional fallacy. Though it all may be true, it has nothing to do with our conversation at hand.

Looking down at our second response, you've deviated wildly form what we were talking about, and are now speaking your opinion on media presentation of the action in the Middle East and Africa.

  • @Konoton01 I do not believe in injustice; and if a small boy should have a limb removed for "stealing bread" because his family cannot afford it change is needed... That boy and his family would give anything for there freedom and a chance at better life. That is why military intervention is to be praised with thanks and not shadowed by the media's influence of how "we do not belong there."

  • @Konoton01 You are absolutely right.....but you have to fight for it!

  • Its funny how whenever i see a vid about usa and canadian military there always hate comments under, but when i see usa and uk military vids its usually the opposite. Is there something between usa and canada or something?

  • @RojomoRojo Yes, yes there is... their still pissed about their white house.

  • @RojomoRojo Yea, Us Canadains are very involed in US life its on our Tvs, our radios ect. The US on the other hand being the ''We have more people, WHERE NUMBER 1!!!'' Kind of people tend to just not admit where eve above them...... That goes for about 85% of Americans.

  • Comment removed

  • @RojomoRojo

People unfortuneatly bash my Country for our military because it is much smaller than the US or UK, thats a big part of it personally in my opinion.

  • @Enfield13 We Canadians may not have the biggest Military but the Canadians Military are better trained then every other Military in the world thats a fact.

  • canada has the 2nd best trained soldier in the world , after the british, and our special force the jtf2 is one of the best, better than your navy seal so go back eat your big mac you fat lazy american

  • @Toronto324 finnaly another canadian who thinks americans are obese

  • @MrCanada80 dude this video is meant to show the brotherhood between usa and canada and how we will always look out for each other no matter what and respecting the men and women risking there lives for our country's not about who has a bigger army or what country is more obese you people fighting over little things like that make me sick!

  • @popamon451 too right man

  • This just makes me think of one thing.

Gangsters say the don't cry because if you do you are a bitch. However the people who are actually fighting for their country cry.

Very sad seeing a man console another...

  • this could be the best video to watch on Remembrance Day

  • Great video i hope one day that the U.S. Canada and the U.K. get together who knows what we could accomplish

  • all my respect gos out to the troops. They deserve more then just respect alot more. and we will never forget the fallin. fighting for iraq and afghanistans freedom from the alkida and taliban

  • 4 people stopped licking the balls of a goat to hit the dislike button.

  • Semper fi til I die

  • i cryed thx u and i hope the soldier at 1:54 was all right

  • can you plz give me a link 4 the pic at 3:17 plz im makin a tribute

  • Links too long haha ... google fallen canadians page 11 2nd down on the left side

  • @LiLRuss31 hhaha yea thank u

  • @roth00140 no prob man

  • @LiLRuss31 that pic at 3:17 is the 1 from the very beginning of the afghan war when the americans accidentally dropped a bomb on our troops killing 4

  • when CANADA USA AND BRITAIN join forces OH SHIT MOVE BITCH GET OUT OF THE WAY

  • why cant governments meet and settle this instead of killing inocent lives.

  • @philatwill123 Why can't the Politicians fight too?

  • thanx for the vid man. helps us out

  • @FrankPrankTingley your such a faggot bro, its at tribute for the fallen not who better, your seriousley pathetic

  • THIS S THE BEST WAY TO REMEMBER FALEN SOLDER IT MAKES ME FEAL GOOD TO KNOW THAT SOME POEPLE STILL ENCORAGES CF MEMBERS. AND I AM VERY HAPPY PEOPLE STILL CAR BECAUSE I AM AN ROYAL AIR CADET OF CANADA AND I WANT TO JOIN THE CF AS AN INFENTRY SOLDER AND THIS VIDEO MAKES ME PROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • one taliban saw this video and dislike for the canada and usa !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ok, i'm going to stay out of political debates, as i feel they simply take away from the powerful meaning behind this video. instead i would like to comment on how amazingly well done this video is !! i have nothing but the highest respect for the men and women of any country who chose to shoulder the burden of taking up arms to protect the rest of us. its not something you are forced to do around here, but do so willingly none the less, and for that, you have my utmost respect !!

  • i'll always support the canadian forces, i've got a cousin in the army and another in cadets, i'm joining up when i'm done university. but if it wasn't for the current conservative government and stevie harper in particular we'd have a lot less to be proud of in the CF's. please vote conservative in the next election so that the forces can continue to grow and prosper, or if you really value a weak military vote liberal and allow the gov to neuter the army and screw up everything in the CF.

  • Hooah we are all brothers in arms.. we fight together.. we all show each other a great deal of respect... its not the training or the size of the army its the brother/sisterhood inside of the armed forces that makes the Army. Our teamwork.

  • FUCK ALL YOU HATERS!! GOD BLESS CANADA BRITAIN AND THE USA!

  • @firestar9999 ... and Australia.

  • @Kitjune1996 Only when the Conservatives are in power does Canada follow the USA in wars.,Vote liberal!

  • @kodiak1966 FUCK YOU, YOU LIBERAL MINDED TREE HUMPING BISEXUAL POT SMOKING IGNORANT HIPPIE FUCK, canada needs a government that will support the armed forces, the people who defend your freedom. not some fuckin liberals who only care about senior care, student loans, and the environment. our military budget is already a fuckin joke, it dosnt need to get to the point of being rediculous.

  • @canadamatt94 agreed. i think that if it wasn't for stevie harpers serious overhaul of the military budget and mentallity in parliment some of the jokes about the forces would be true, ask most canadian soldiers and they'll say they support the conservatives because there will to spend the money on the military and take risks like the liberals would have never dared. so yeah look at CSOR and leopard 2 tanks as an example of where coservatives are going. and cancelled chopper orders for the libs

  • @canadamatt94 now we just need to get rid of the long gun shit

  • @canadamatt94 i agree canada needs to put waaay more money into the army but we need all those other things too dont forget alot of people who fought for out freedom our seniors

  • @ladiesman123456 We are putting a lot more money into our military. But we don't need it as much as other countries. We are peacekeepers. Mostly we are in other countries just to have a military presence.

Its not like anyone would attack Canada, USA would have a hayday.

  • @halflife103 Yes we do need a descent military budget. We are resposible for ourselves not the US. We will be facing challenges in the North and we should have the best military in the world.Nothe biggest, thebest. You need to know that.

  • @tindallpe Why?, The only way Canada would be alone if we were attacked is if USA and Britain both tried to Annex Canada. If Russia attacked Canada, The USA would Intervene. If USA Attacked Britain would Intervene. Canada is a MASSIVE trading post. And too valuable to be left alone. Besides, we do have Some of the Best. JTF2. We SHOULD have more military power, but we are above all. Peacekeepers.... Peacemakers when it is needed.

  • @halfli Being peacekeepers does not relieve us of a resonsibility to ourselves and not be dependent on others. That is a mentality I find detestable. We have been spending 1.8% GDP on the military when even Euro averages are higher. It's time to shed the deplorable past of "Truedeauan"( The worst Canadian) destruction of our military and put the required emphasis toward it. Our nay should be three times the size .We need icebreakers and subs to protect the north and not beg others forour defense.

  • @tindallpe I agree with you, I just think we should keep our reputation as the Worlds Peacekeepers. Regardless, what we need are the Machines. Total Population: 34,030,589 Available Manpower: 15,786,816 Fit for Service: 13,023,141 Of Military Age: 424,264 Active Military: 67,756 Active Reserve: 47,116 Tanks: 201 APC's / IFV's: 2470 AT Weapons: 1500 AA Weapons: 34 Total Aircraft: 544 Helicopters: 201 Airports: 1404 Total Navy Ships: 33 Defense Budget: $21,800,000,000
  • @halflife103 No reason for the repost. I see you've sighted the coutries vital statistics from possibly the CIA factbook. Our capability, is in our systems and levels of training that we are accustomed to as well as equipment. It needs to be understood as well that although we have been recognized as the best peacekeepers, which is something we should always try and retain, our greatest accommplishments militarily were through the liberation of people by way of necessary force. A necessary evil

  • @tindallpe Again, i agree. Our training is top notch. "our greatest accommplishments militarily were through the liberation of people by way of necessary force. A necessary evil" Yes, peacemaking. Our training and personal are perfect. we just need more equiptment and vehicles.

  • @tindallpe

    globalfirepower (dot) com

  • @halfli Being peacekeepers does not relieve us of a resonsibility to ourselves to not be dependent on others. That is a mentality I find detestable. We have been spending 1.8% GDP on the military when even Euro averages are higher. It's time to shed the deplorable past of "Truedeauan"( The worst Canadian) destruction of our military and put the required emphasis toward it. Our navy should be three times the size .We need icebreakers and subs to protect the north and not beg others forour defense.

  • @tindallpe Any reason you just copy and pasted your last comment?. Im just saying, we should not relieve ourselves of our Peacekeeping status.

  • @halflife103 Peacemakers when needed.....sometimes it can be too late....never underestimate.....always account for the future....we do not want to be peacekeepers trying to protect ourselves....now how would that look? pretty fookin dumb I would say!

  • @MrFreedomrequired hmm yeah, that is true.

  • @canadamatt94 Because what's freedom when you have to deal with seniors, students and the environment right?

Why not balance it out a bit? You can be both protected and charitable at the same time. The Liberals and Conservatives need to stop bickering.

  • @canadamatt94 will you settle down our time coming....we just have to wait...have faith

  • @canadamatt94 are you fucking high? i do support and agree with all you said but the economical crisis and the reason thousands of people are financially eating shit is because of the billions spent in the military...

  • @Ihaveapetbeaver War gives economy, you should know about that...

  • @alexlecute oh jesus christ... The effects of the american education system: part 1... tell me how the hell america is going to pay off the 1267 million dollars spent by the military since 2001?

  • @Ihaveapetbeaver Military men go at war, they come back, they spend thier money. Manifacture make weapon and everything and they create work for people.

  • @alexlecute manifactures make weapons.... they dont sell weapons they give them to the military... theres no income from that... there arent enough workers and soldiers to be able to clean off all the debts...

  • @canadamatt94 right on man

  • @kodiak1966

You're not very smart are you Kodiak. Canada went to Afghanistan when the Liberals were in power. Use your head for a second. Went to the Balkans when the Liberals were in Power.

  • @Kitjune1996 shut the fuck up america is fighting for freedom just like canada

  • o_o 1:55

  • @Kitjune1996 you. are. stooopid.
