@GuitarAriaFreak1010 yes i got the 57 classics. they are amazing. a very good choice. make sure you get the 57 classic plus and put it in the bridge and get the regular 57 classic in the neck. not only does it give you an excellent Slash tone but you can also get a cool AC/DC sound with it. i would recommend the 57's.

yeah.. i read on gibson site their's a difference in tone with the different finishes. i remember reading it also because slash says that the goldtop is best for getting his tone

It's true, I want to get Travis Bean. But it's very difficult so I got Melody Maker for slide play. For my ear, Alnico II and 57 Classic are almost same but 57 classic is just a little powerful. But the most important thing is not using the same pickups as Slash's but having good ear which can hear the right sound. And taking a lot of time with your own amp. I think these 2 humbackers can do the exactly same thing.
