@joeyb825 Tiger fishes are perfectly legal to own in the US. Except for piranhas in some States. If you really wanna to to care for a beast that could grow really huge, your gonna need to purchase or custom make your own Monster tank that requires a wetshut just for maintenance. XD LMFAO!!!

Your underestimating the fish. Fish are one of the oldest animals on earth, they can adapt to a small tank as long as they can swim, as long as you have alot of oxygen going through the fish, current isn't required. Most animals are prepared for changing habitat so thats not a major issue either, the most important is water quality.

Large river fish, confined to a small glass box. It saddens me. Until there is a ban on importing 'tankbusters' it is up to retailers to be responsible. So far I know of two, including us, who don't stock pangassius, redt tail cats, pacu etc.

that said, some of the tanks on the monsters channel are awesome and well suited to housing monster fish but thats the exception rather than the rule.
