  • Ah diddums. Cafe owner displays homophobic material and then is surprised when the police show up and have a word. And to those who say 'this wouldn't have happened if he was muslim' - bollocks. A load of muslims have just been convicted for distributing homophobic Quranic leaflets. This guy GOT LUCKY.

  • Why do I get the feeling that if a kabab shop or hooka lounge was showing koranic verses, hell would freeze over before they were confronted about it?

  • Give me liberty or give me death! Don't Tread On Me!

  • Atheist here, I am totally disgusted by the DVD issue. I may not agree with what you have to say on the issue of homosexuals, but I agree you have the right to say it. As long as you agree I also have the right to say the Bible is ridiculous and disgusting.

This is why this country NEEDS separation of church and state and free speech instead of freedom from offence.

But I also see absolutely no problem with the Beeb changing over to the academically accepted CE and BCE.

  • Just got to add, a street preacher in my town centre is constantly harassing my sister with my 4 year old niece telling her what he thinks should be done to us in no uncertain and very descriptive manner. I tell him what I think to his threats, and I get threatened and moved on by the police. It's happening to almost everyone with different officers deciding what is offensive, and who has the right to offend or not.

  • Britain has a higher ratio of police cameras to people than any other Western nation. I'm afraid the UK is already a police state.

  • all western goverment belong to the Antichrist, its not retoric its true. How many proves we need? The State promotes Islam, homosexuality, abortion, everything against the church.

  • @trifulquita15 Man is perfectly capable of rejecting the Church all on our own, we don't need demons to help.

  • @matthewtaylorbrown but they help you anyway. The enemy of my enemy is my friend

  • @trifulquita15 You're almost my age, I figured out long ago that the enemy of my enemy is not my friend. Every time we've aligned ourselves (EU/US) at the national level we have discovered that once our common enemy is defeated, the new friend once again becomes our enemy, but has gained an advantage over us. Look at Russia in 1945 and Afghanistan. I do realize I'm off subject, sorry about that.

  • I told on Shazoolo for not wanting a cafe owner to be roughed up by Law Enforcement. He will not be welcomed to the Karma-Cleansing in the Police State run Death Camps meant to help him feel better.

  • I respect the struggle that was had to get an English Bible, yet even Christ was against the scribes and the real message of the Holy Writ is in the Living Word not the scriptures of the scribes.

  • I personally think that all formalised religion is claptrap designed to control the individual.

As much as I have the right to say this I respect the rights of others to disagree with me.

  • AD or CE, as an atheist I don't care. After all, the days of the week and the months of the year are named after pagan gods. If not for the Christian restart of the count of years we might be using the Jewish/Hebrew date of Tishrei ~11, 5772. It was ~3761 when AD started at year 1. I prefer the Christian calender because of the mix of gods. It is hard for non-Christians to bow down to Christians by using 'The Year of Our Lord." It was inevitable that it would be changed to not favor one religion

  • Change it to BJ and AJ (Steve Jobs) :) It's funny how christian types think the UK is a christian country. Countries cannot be religious it's the people in them that have that affliction. Founded on christian principles ? Well that is subject to change, look at what Henry VIII did. Posters below quoting OT verses, are they going to stone unruly children too ? Just as they don't emphasise the violent parts of the bible in sunday school they can not say nasty things about other people in a cafe.

  • @matthewtaylorbrown Interesting points concerning the days of the week as it pertains to Christian tolerance (if only implied).in this instance. As has been said, I think it's incidental as far as they actual effect it has had elsewhere, and as far as it will take hold in the UK. CE or AD, the numeric attribution remains necessarily attached to Christian affiliation and origin. And does so while absorbing the insult of change in the name of plurality. As only Christianity can, I think.

  • Thanks for sharing dude. Praying for the situation.

  • This is disturbing stuff. George Orwell's 1984 is gradually becoming a reality. Concentration camps for Christians might be on their way to Britain. We are up against tyranny! Our police are gradually turning into Nazis. Currently, they are nowhere near as bad but it could get far worse. Watch my video 'Anti Christian Fascism may be coming to Britain'.

  • It won't be long now before they actually ban the Bible. What he should do is warn people by displaying a note in the window, that way they have no grounds to complain.

  • Are you really surprised? The anti-christ spirit is in the world. The principalities, rulers and powers are trying to hide the gospel from people.

  • Britain is descending into totalitarianism and has been doing so for over a decade. Just look at how much government money has been spent on public surveillance systems. Looks like Orwell was off by a few years.

  • *I think he should have kept displaying the Bible. This is the 666 BEAST STATE you are facing in the UK -- and the 666 BEAST SYSTEM is the STATE, GOVT, POLICE, MILITARY.

  • This is truly the apocalypse. The 666 beast system of EU and UN and Islam have taken over Europe. The USA will not fall to this system. We are God's Christian nation to all world and the global homeland of all saints worldwide. This is the end of times -- and Christians should come to the USA. (I believe Christians will rapture to the soil here. This is your nation under God.)

  • Dark days, Shaz, dark days. Freedom of speech and rights for all, except Christians. Keep on telling it how it is.

  • The thing with the BBC at the beginning aint that big a deal I think. It's still the same year, just done to remove an unfair emphasis towards one particular religion.

As for everything after the 1st 2 mins, yeah i agree absolute crap. Wasn't harming nobody.

  • BBC= bLOODY bASTARD´S cRAP !

  • before common era= Before CHRISTIAN Era

    common era= CHRISTIAN Era

    Got ´em there, folks !

  • @IGOROZKARSKY That's what I've always thought :P

  • This has nothing to do with the video but .. why don't you grow a beard? You'd look good with a beard.

  • thanks for posting this brother

  • I agree with most of your points here. I believe that everyone should indeed have freedom of speech, and its right that if everyone was to be prosecuted for offending someone then the majority would be in gaol. However, I can't help but agree with the BBC's decision to change their dating system. Although I see it as very very petty, I do not believe that the U.K should be seen as a 'Christian society' and I think that even small changes like that can make us a multi-faith community.

  • Comment removed

  • I completely agree with this video.

The situation is only going to get worse.

Islam gets more respect because muslims are violent, and intimidate anyone who dares to get in their way.

Christians are peaceful and so are often bullied.

  • Recently in California: An in home weekly Bible study group was broken up by Police who claimed that it violated zoning laws. The contention of the Police was that the study of the Bible in a private home with friends constituted a Church and that the group did not have a license to have a Church in this residential zone. Neighbors said that the Bible Study group was not disturbing anyone in their neighborhood and that the Police were wrong to stop it. Yet the Police persisted in their tyranny.

  • @isthechurchtrue As a military retiree and atheist I find the idea of what you say to be a violation of their Constructional rights. Can you post a link to an article with more details?

  • @matthewtaylorbrown

Here is the World Net Daily article:

    wnd(dot)com/?pageId=345073

Chuck and Stephanie Fromm, a family living in San Juan Capistrano California, have already been fined $300 and face a fine of $500 for each subsequent Bible Study without a permit. The Pacific Justice Institute is representing the Fromms in the case.

"We don't like lawsuits, but we have to stand up for what's right. It's not just a personal issue," Stephanie Fromm told the newspaper.

  • People hate what the Bible says because it convicts them that they are not following truth.

  • @newbirth35 That is silly, that is like saying you are not Muslim because Qur'an has convicted you. None of the holy books have influence over the atheist as we don't consider them truths. It is the same way you feel about Qur'an and every other religion's books except Christianity. No offense, but all non-Christians consider the Bible rubbish like all non-Muslims consider the Qur'an to be rubbish. It is nothing personal.

  • Shazoolo, how have you been?

I've experienced the CE vs A.D. situation in University. I argued that 2009 CE and 2009 A.D. are the same thing, except that some prefer to exclude Christ and Christianity from the reference point (but the number is the SAME!) I argued discrimination and that as long as a number of books in the University libraries contain A.D. (instead of C.E.) then they must accept my use of A.D.

Strangely, I lost my case. :(

  • @OCPRS Hi, doing o.k. Good to see you about. It is another example of simply pushing Christians aside regardless of the evidence or volume of complaint or evidence shown.

  • @Shazoolo

I think it is about time people start contextualizing it the correct way and not simply say its "secularism." Who and what is the cause of "secularism?"

Again, what is unfortunate is that other religions (one in particular which I will not mention here) in the so-called multicultural atmosphere is one of the leading causes for anti-Christian attitudes brought about through media, and the legal system and politics.

Darker days are coming my friend.

  • Hi again Shazman,

Christianity was a significant influence in the development of spiritual truth and history in Europe. The rejection of this aspect of European development is intended to UNDO the strength of European development. Effectively, the anti-Christian attitudes of government are due to the enemies of Christ (the servants of Anti-Christ).

This is not simply a social phenomenon, it is a spiritual one outlined in John's Revelation.

  • @Shazoolo I respect your right to worship in your community or even on TV. There are no gods, but your religion, assumed Christianity, offers a moral code I wish Christians would actually follow. The U.S. would be a better place if they did. That said, this is a Constitutional issue, American's have certain rights Christian or otherwise. We need more facts in this case. I suspect there were complaints of neighbors because of the parking of over 20 cars in a residential area. I know I'd complain.

  • @Keruaran here are some definitions of homophobia from various different sources:

    - an extreme and irrational aversion to homosexuality and homosexual people.

    - Definitions refer to irrational fear, with the implication of antipathy, contempt, prejudice, and aversion

    - Fear of or contempt for lesbians and gay men

The interpretation of the word 'homophobia' is not restricted to only fear of homosexuals, though that is what it may mean. Your subjective interpretation may be different from mine.

  • The Jehovah's Witnesses have been using BCE abd CE for years. PC police strike again.

  • Shaz, do you have Salt & Light's address so that I may write them & encourage them?

  • @GOTTshua Yeah,I have added it to the description now under the video (can't add it here due to email at signs etc. and/or too much info.

  • I tried to email them but couldnt. do you know if there are any special requirements for sending mail from the USA to britian?

  • @NerdforChrist777 No, there shouldn't be. Try it again (obviousely, replace the 'AT' with the proper email at sign though): lancashirepoliceATlancashire.pnn.police.uk

  • Thankfully, the matter of "the Bible" in public doesn't get anywhere beyond cops.

However, it is interesting how blatant the ignorance is that the keepers of the peace display vis-à-vis "the Bible", scriptures.

Some people hear scripture if they go to "church" - even if they do not read the scriptures - but if a body doesn't ever attend any congregation - which is the usual - and doesn't read the scriptures, then they have little exposure to them whatsoever. Often the police are suchly.

  • Good job highlighting this mate.

  • There are no Bible verses that refer to homosexuals in any way. These charges against the cafe owner are ridiculous.

  • @1GodOnlyOne wrong

  • @JayMerc75 No, you! lol

  • @1GodOnlyOne

    Rom 1:26

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

    Rom 1:27

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

  • @JayMerc75 I have a video up on my channel about those very verses. Notice none of the words there is gay or homosexual, because the Bible does not mention them anywhere.

See my video "Being Gay is NOT a sin" for more information and facts.

  • @1GodOnlyOne I watched it, that was absolutely pathetic. You do realise 100 years ago gay had a different meaning, it's not gonna be mentioned in that context in a 2000 year old book. If you want to twist the Bible to fit modern society, fine, but don't call yourself a Christian.

  • @1GodOnlyOne well thats a lie

  • Unfortunately Britain like most the rest of the western world has deteriorated to the status of being Post-Christian.

  • Thank you for the information, God bless you in Jesus' name

  • It doesn't matter what letters they assign to the calendar. Like you said, the reference point is the Lord. If a private business owner in the U.S. displays something offensive, "other than pornography" they are boycotted not arrested. State and federal owned property is another story.

  • The ironic thing is that if he had been arrested and things went to court ,the jury has to be sworn in ,and they have to swear on a copy of the Bible ! ,i think every christian should send the police bible verses ,put them everywhere just to show them they have no right to dictate what someone can do ,in there own premesis ,where they pay the bills and rent .if it was a islam cafe ,things would not have been said .

  • @THEENGLISHGHOUL Was thinking something similar this morning. What if we all reproduced those scriptures and put them all over the place. Are verses from the Bible illegal now in the UK?

  • The reaction of people towards Christians is not justifiable, but wholly understandable given the fact that so many Christians have used Christian teaching in a most abusive and un-loving manner. You can't blame people for being highly sensitive after nasty little bigots have hijacked Christianity for a rather Satanic agenda.

  • The UK are a bunch of effeminate P.C. pussies, just like the U.S. is being conformed into. I'm sorry to hear all this. So hypocritical they are!!!! It is only political, but certainly not correct.

  • rebel by boycotting anything BBC and non-christian. i would and i do

  • As a cristian it breaks my heart to see this happen as a Bible believing cristian I believe everything the Bible says from beginning to end we all know the signs of the end but just because of that doesn't mean we don't stand up for what we believe if all we have is each other we unite the future of Israel will be our future as well it doesn't matter if we are miles away we need to start making complains and suing people too Jesus did not quit and neither will we.

  • interesting. i'd let them arrest me and have my day in court.

  • You're the coolest!! Keep up the great work!!

Glory to God in the highest forevermore!!!

  • "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you;"

    Matthew 15:18

  • @KnightOwl2006

    Friend

Actually that's John 15:18-20 not Matthew :D Otherwise fitting verses.

  • @blueblue1891 Yes, you're right, I was reading John earlier today and got my wires crossed. Thanks.

  • The UK has lost its mind it seems. That's what happens when political correctness trumps freedom, common sense and decency.

Do you think they'd ever stop a cafe from displaying verses from the koran?

    I didn't think so.

  • So, can I complain to Youtube whenever I see someone saying something that offends me? =D

  • @Haroids yes BUT if you're not one of the protected groups i.e. muslim, sodomite or atheist

    they will ignore you.

  • I don't think the article particularly reflects growing intolerance towards Christians, but rather intolerance to homophobia. Christians, for the most part, are allowed to go about their business without fear of discrimination, wheras homosexuals aren't. I do agree that the police involvement was unnecessary though, the homophobic bible passage wasn't being expressed in a threatening manner.

  • @happyhippymorgan

Stating disagreement, contention or even outright condemnation is not a basis for asserting someone has a phobia or their views reflect they have a phobia of any kind. The language of "homophobia" is regularly used arbitrarily to describe anyone who does not subscribe to and does not wholeheartedly agree with homosexuality as a practice and the politically correct gay agenda. The legitimacy of such language is assumed rather than justified by any reasonable logic.

  • Why would someone that does not agree with the bible go to a christian cafe? The person that went there imho went to the cafe with a hidden agenda waiting for something to come up so they can complain. As an example this is the way i see it It's like a Muslim going into a pub then calling the police and saying they are offended coz they are serving and drinking alcohol. If u dont like certain things u dont go to certain places then u dont get offended.

  • @clinttidan - The same could be said about a Christians who do things in an attempt to make a political or religious statement. I don’t think this guy did anything wrong. If he had been only playing anti-gay passages then they might have a case but it was just a few lines out of many. Also, Christians love to play the oppressed victim card but those in the western world have no idea what real religious oppression is.

  • @Neopagan2007 Yes it was wrong however the Christian Religion is under attack this country was a Chritian nation on the whole. When i went to school we used to sing hymns in the morning. You used to be able tio wear a cross if u worked for british airways until they banned it. There are many more incidents where the religion is under attack. i respect everyones faith or religion and feel they have the right to worship their deity as they see fir as long as itsnot harming anyone

  • @Neopagan2007 You see things were different a few decades ago and many people see the changes. The changes that is targeted towards the religion and slowly phasing it out. Like a jigsaw puzzle piece by piece. You see to many people are worried about what others believe and like to argue that their religion is real and other religions are wrong or fake. I just respect free will that everyone has the right to believe what they want. i have many friends from various religions cultures

  • @clinttidan - I tend to agree with you on what you have said. In the United States it is a bit different. There is an ongoing fight between those who want the freedom to practice their faith or not and those who want to force everyone to kneel to the “Christian” religion. They try to shove it into the laws and school curriculum in place of science. They have an active hatred for anyone who accepts science over the Bible.

  • @Neopagan2007 In the US they attacked the Christians by making the rfid chip and wanting to implant in peoples right hand. Where it says in the bible that no man should take the mark of the beast that will be placed in the right arm or forehead. Those that dont have the mark wont be able to buy or sell etc. The rfid chip that they have planned for us is to take away money and replace it with an online version. The rfid chip is an attack on the rerligion.

  • @Neopagan2007 I see ur point and I understand to many religious people have to much hatred in their hearts. Hatred towards other religons etc. True religous people have love not hatred in their hearts. They dont force their beliefs on others just try to be righteous. I have no hatred towards anyone just peace and love. They focus more on their religion than hating towards others. Love thy neighbor love thy brother and sister. Love everybody and everything get rid of the hate and just find love

  • `Getting prepare for the new age religion the luciferian docrine that will be presented to us as they try to achieve the NWO. It's getting bad some companies told members of staff that they cannot wear a cross. Trying to discredit the religion and embarrass those that practice the religion. If someone believes someones faith to be untrue then they should not take offend as to them it isnt true.

  • we've never had free speach any way

  • theres nothing wrong with BCE and CE but it is wrong for the Police tell cafe owner: Stop showing Bible DVDs, or we will have to arrest you

  • also i think what might be behind the compliance of the Chruch Leaders in the suppresion of the gospell to the general public on the streets, IS that they have all signed up for this Government tax concession on tythes andofferings, but one thing they give the government is Names Addresses of the members of their churches. Just to make it easier for the police when the time comes for round up. Jelly men of the chruch leadership !!!!!!

  • @toiwin Many Christian organizations that receive support from the goverment in the UK often end up being forced into various levels of compromising the faith. I personally know groups like this. They end up being molded by the world (which the book of 1 John warns against). The Christian Institute (who are fighting the legal case for the cafe owner) don't get any help from the government, and neither do such groups as Teen Challenge (who do a great work cleaning up drug addicts and alcoholics).

  • @Shazoolo im sorry i did not mean that all churches were like that, as i still attend the one of which i spoke, but just because i attend does not make me blind. The Lord is wonderful as he still moves even in a confined space, eg healings that peole straight away say oh i expect it will come back again, lol, anyhow, bless the Lord Jesus as he sure is coming back again very soon, cant wait

  • anther thing, when we were giving tracts out in front of our church one sunday morning, there was a complaint by someone, and then MY OWN PASTER told me off for being too passionate about the Lord on the streets, as he had received a complaint from the council ??!"!!!! im thinking COMMON PURPOSE im thinking emerging chruch, im thinking NWR new world religion watered down belifs that fit all !!! bad news

  • you know in our area sw uk the poice work with the christian streat pasters, but one thing that are told, they are not allowed to pray for them, !! they want to work with them as the crime rate goes down when they are present on the streets at weekends. They want it one way, but they also want it their other way. Typical.

  • get ready for the rapture ! yey any minute

  • It's coming dear brothers and sisters, as the Lord said it would. Get ready. Stand firm. No retreat, no surrender!

  • Garuntee you if someone was offended by a gay pride parade nothing would happen to the parade.

  • I Feel ashamed to live in this police state we call the UK. It just show's we really are living in the end times. They will do everything they can to phase Christianity out of society to try and bring in there secular religion. We must stand tall in these dark days and be like a beacon of light!

  • I am shocked, freedom of religion is a human right, that being the freedom to be a Christian or to be a Pagan or a Muslim or anything, you can not arrest people for displaying words from their holy books that tastes to me like witch hunts, nothing less and when Pagan pronounces loudly never again the burning times that should be fighting against any oppression based on religion not just oppression based on our own religion. Instead while discussing, well actually one of your videos, on a...

  • @Venefica82 Norwegian occult forum one of the others said, and I quote, Christianity is a false religion that should be exterminated. I was shocked and told the man, this is just not acceptable, sure I do not agree with Christianity but you can not demand rights for your own religion and then wish to obliterate another, and one of my friends he was nearly afraid to tell us that he was Christian when religion came up in a debate, afraid we would not like him anymore if we knew. You are right...

  • @Venefica82 Christianity have become an easy target, and while many Christians still do attack people of other religions and or fight against things like gay rights and I do not think that is right at all, i say you can not judge all Christians by what some do, and even with the ones that try to oppress others, you can not fight oppression with oppressing them in turn. It is shameful, we should have more tolerance of all religions, not less.

  • @Venefica82 Interesting comment. I would be exactly the same if I was in that situation and it was the other way round. Sure, disagreements abound between differing groups of people. We should be able to disagree and allow each other that freedom to do so and not seek to supress each other. Thankfully, most people in different groups recognize this. Sadly though some do seek to supress and censor the other party. Then, at the extreme end of the scale, there are those like the one's you spoke of.

  • in Jesus' time in Jerusalem.

  • Shazzoolo-I have studied with the British Police. Know this, they will not continue their misconduct if you stand up to them then follow through with law suits. Know this, as a police officer, the only power we have is that which the public allows. If Muslims, Gays, Pedophiles, may have their freedom of speech in private enterprise and public places-Christians shall have equal time as well. I refuse to violate civil rights and religious freedoms. Not even the Romans violated the Jews rights back

  • It's insane and ridiculous. People need to know their rights and stand up for them. In this instance, a cafe owner was wronged. I don't know that much about the laws in the UK (I'm American), but an owner of a business can display Bible quotes if he wants to. The woman is wrong. If she doesn't like it then she can go somewhere else, maybe tell the owner she doesn't like it but that's about it. Calling the police? What in the world?! Crazy. Political correctness is taking away freedom.

  • This will be the next thing to happen according to the Bible. There will be a great apostasy. There will be less and less love towards one another. There will be less tolerance to christians in the near future. What is wrong will be called right and what is right will be called wrong....

  • @aldotkd1 "What is wrong will be called right and what is right will be called wrong...." and we are not to fear...for these things have already been seen and understood that they must pass. Christians will not only be shunned...but will be slaughtered. Jesus tells us in these end times...do NOT fear.

  • Oh, and Shazoolo, good job as always, love your shows!

  • He should switch over to the Quran, and put up verses from there against homosexuality.

I think I would of went to jail, I think it would be worth suffering for the truth.

  • @marthale7 Yeah, honestly, they think our faith about not agreeing with homosexuality is bad, wait till they read what the Quran says.... These tolerant people are so intolerant, that it makes me sick! They don't do anything but use double standards to push their beliefs down the throats of others while claiming that we are offensive... well guess what, that offends me!

  • @marthale7 ---> You are right. If he would display Muslim verses, he would not be harassed since they are afraid of muslims.

  • Yeah, God forbid you show what you believe on your property! Disagreeing with homosexuality isn't hate speech, it is an opinion and a belief. To be honest, I don't hate gays, I don't agree with them, but I have some as friends and they know how I feel, and it doesn't bother them. You can't have your rights because someone doesn't like what you think? Then why should anyone have an advantage in that? Why should we be forced to think in a way that offends us? Honestly.
