Glad to see more people and organizations addressing the issue of kids living with violence. As a kid I reacted by withdrawing, which I'm glad to see get acknowledged here. Some kids don't act out, but fade into the woodwork. I was depressed and isolated, barely able to speak to other kids. I kept my grades up, despite home life and getting bullied at school, because studying was a haven for me, and it was the one part of my life I could control.
