When I lived in England I went to Sweden many times and not only did I love the people and the beauty of your cities, but the laws to protect children. There's 2 problems with "manning up" to an angry woman:
1. You become the target, get the silent treatment for days, have sex withheld etc etc.

It should be illegal to hit your kids in the US! In Sweden it's against the law to hit your children and they turn out to be less violent, more communitive, and have more self-confidence. As far as I'm concerned no one should lay their hands on anyone unless you need to defend yourself!

@eragonrex1 In the US someone has to call the police like a neighbor or a doctor to report child abuse. Unfortunately, you can hit "discipline" your children. When I lived in England I went to Sweden many times and not only did I love the people and the beauty of your cities, but the laws to protect children. I discovered that Swedish society is far less violent, children are polite, no drunks can drive, and Swedish cities are immaculate. You live in a lovely country!

@eragonrex1 its illegal to abuse children but to give them a slap on the hand isnt considered to be abuse. its when you start hitting them in the face or hitting for something so small is when you get in trouble. i was spanked as a kid and i was afraid of it just like any other toddler would. but im most definitely not a scarred child, and my parents would slap my hand not very hard and not often either, my hand would sting for like 5 seconds and go away.

It is partially the dads fault for not stopping it, the same way that it would be partially the mothers fault if it was the dad who was being abusive. They are the men of the household so when they are abusing or bullying majority of the time the women are too scared to stand up to them because they are stronger and when the woman does it the man should step in and defend his child knowing that he is the man of the house or the stronger individual.
