I was just wondering how this piano sounds when through loud speakers playing, alot of pianos have piss poor sound and this ones rather cheap, i want a good piano , any feedback?
@KracBlayn it sounds rubbish through it's own speakers, but much better through headphones or an external speaker setup. The NP30 is cheap and cheerful. If you wanna good piano, look elsewhere:-)
@reynosamanA3 yes i do... who are you to tell me that i ont know how to tune guitars or violins? and i can tune pianos now, calm the fuck down jesus what is your problem, anger problems ?
@XboxLass1234 I am the guru of all intellect and your are an inferior human being therefore you are my slave.. Anybody know that digital(electrical) pianos dont need to be tuned. Have you been living in a cave lately?
@reynosamanA3 actaully some digital pianos do need to be tuned, how are you a gur when i play the piano and can tune them, that ws my sister talking and shes 8, think its funny to interrogate an 8 year old? hmm your such a bitch now, i can tune piano and so can my sister i dont know what she was on about, and i know many digital pianos that do need tuning, and to be fair im 28 and your about 3? so whose the guru now? and no i live in a villa thanks, like my sister, fucktard.
@b9y no you retard... i know a fucking electrical piano needs tuning or not ffs, because i have an electrical piano at home that needs tuning and some electricals do need tunign so i was wondering if it was one of the hybrids. jesus.
@XboxLass1234 I see that a lot of people are mixing up electric pianos with digital pianos. Digital pianos don't need tuning, electric pianos do. Electric pianos are pianos with physical hammers striking tines or reeds, like the Fender rhodes mk1 or the wurlitzer 200A. Digital pianos (like this one) use samples (recorded fragments of audio to make their sound, so they don't need tuning at all.
I also want to know. is having weighted keys really important? Will it affect your performance later on if you're used to using semi or unweighted keys? Which is better, having full weighted keys or having graded touch? Sorry if have too many questions. I am just curious and I want to be sure of what will I use. Thanks again. Anyways, your playing is just beautiful, I wish I could be that good someday. :)
Hi TheMbelle .Yes, weighted keys are important when learning to play. I would not recommend this piano as one to learn on. It's good as a portable secondary instryment, but that's all. I have had no problems with the NP30 since I bought it, but I don't really use it all that much. Save up and buy a better model with a good weighted touch would be my best advice to you. Best Wishes -Colin
Hi, since it's been a year you've uploaded this vid, did you encounter problems using Yamaha NP30? I've heard there's been problems with its speaker or sound after using it for months. I'm a beginner pianist and I really want a piano which is affordable and worth to buy, and this really suits but still I'm not sure if it performs great as it looks. I'd be so happy if I could buy a great piano because I've been suffering from a cheap keyboard. I will be really glad to know your answer. Thanks. :)
Rob, the speakers are not especially loud, so depends on what kind of rehearsal you need it for. Would be fine with a small choir for example but a rock band rehearsal would be a big no-no!
I want to buy a keyboard or a digital piano, what do you recommend? I don't need the junk with sounds and such of the keyboard... Is the digital piano almost the same as a real piano (i mean with key-touch)?
eric11600 , yes the weight gets lighter -but it's not a huge difference between the top end and the bottom end of the keyboard. It's great for a portable inexpensive lightweight piano.
Yeah, I took a lead out of the headphone jack socket to my Yamaha mixing desk which then goes to my soundcard on the computer... Thanks for listening!
Excellent Colin...I see the toy "burning" under your fingers touch....yeah! :-)....but I also appreciated your shirt!!! Trust me I am a musician!"...TOO COOL! :-)
5* from Rome and congrats for your new purchase....
Thanks Luca and well spotted on the T-shirt front , LOL! It has a really light touch compared to any other digital piano I have ever played so it takes a bit of getting used to but I think it has a great sound for what it cost! All the Best -Colin
Besides the light touch was the key spacing an issue for you because I heard the keys are ever so slightly narrower than standard piano keys. Nice choice of music. ;o)
Yes, it was an issue for me -it takes a bit getting used to! I demo'd it on a gig before I bought it, and that was the one thing which made me wonder if I should go ahead and buy it or not. I would not recommend having this piano as your sole instrument but as a handy little toy that sounds pretty good, it's worth the money for me...It even runs on 6 little batteries and is so light to carry!
