what other sort of pads could i use for an added edge to my acoustic set im looking to try my own dubstep etc project where i use a simple bad for fx ? im new to this whole fx pad thing i dont know all this terminology im a drummer but want to make sum cool tunes without my band for personall enjoyment~?
I'm a long time user of the SPD line, Octopad, which was awful to the good but delicate SPD-8 and the stellar SPD-20, but twenty PLUS years later, in 2010, Roland, with all the tech advancements, as far as I can tell, pad sensitivity is a joke. This guy, a long time Roland electro-drum presenter, can do rolls, but he's using a technique to really pull those rolls out. Darn it, I want to delicately feel the snare when I'm playing. Please, its 2010 Roland.
@alih666 drum footprint, neighbors, freedom to play anytime w/monitors or headphones, mix drums with songs, tracks, built in effects, I can customize snare, kick, tom sounds to fit a playing feel, I can have almost a hundred different drum sets with different character, portability, instant pro sound, MIDI triggering... shall I go on? I setup the SPD's to be like drum sets with external kick/hihat pedals, etc. etc.
Darn sensitivity though I thought would improve, unless I didnt find a setting.
@iKeyboard15 no it doesn't. You only get the SPD 30 itself. no stand, no foot pedals, no extra trigger pads. Not that good of a deal man! But it's an awesome instrument. really plays naturally and lively!
that is freaking nice, I play mainly guitar but I wouldn't mind being a electronic studio drummer for my music, I'd use it for Techno,Thrash, and Metal
This demo was so awesome, I just bought an SPD-30 through you!
