Waylon and Jessi were close to Hank... they did alot together a whats a kiss between friends.. who cares... Waylon probally would have not cared... Hank and he were like brothers... and Jessi was like a Sister to Hank.... he was there for her.. when Waylon passed.... so sad..RIP Waylon...
love it when cephus sings the hoss's stuff! saw him in concert a while back and he busted out waylons signature tele and proceded to pick lonesome, on'ry, and mean!
lol I hate to tell you this but if you think Jessi looked pissed I would love to know what video you were watching because it couldn't have been this one. She kept the world from losing Waylon for many years and stood by him regardless of what he did before his body finally gave out. He lived a hard life alot of it from his own hand with the booze, the drugs, the women and life on the road. If Jessi were pissed she would have cold coked Hank right then and there lol
I think it was just a friendly kiss, & was taken as such, & I dont think Jessie was offended. I expect Waylon & Jessie were long time friend with Hank,Jn.
They also sang a good lively song. & I enjoyed it . Arthur
@RickinFLA07 alot of people may not realize it, but waylon, hank jr and jessi were good friends. As a musician myself, I lost my best friend and bass player. Back on stage, we done a song that the bass player always done. We put all we had into the song cause the spirit was there. I can truely tell this is what they were doing on this song. RIP waylon...we miss you!
@RickinFLA07 No she wasn't mad, she leaned toward him first. I think they are all friends and a kiss like that is nothing unusual. They have amazing voices and I thank you for posting.
@HivelyMansion laughing oh come on.. to me it looked like she leaned into it.. it was a friendly peck nothing more.. and she was fine with it... now maybe the big bear hug was a bit much but I am quite sure she wasn't put off my Hank. lol
Both of them amazing and Jessi, from her astonishing little window of brilliance in the late 70s, is every bit the superstar (though she basically retired to care for Dad & Baby in 1980). Great tribute, but I do NOT like how Hank Jr. kissed her after this song and, I think, Jessi herself (although a free woman and widow at the tme) might have been a bit stunned by that smack!
Nice to see them here. Shows Jessi's coping with Waylon's pals. Looks like this was a tribute show to him, probably not too long after he passed. Jessi's still as beautiful as the day she me Waylon.
Gotta luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv Hank......

I didn't care for that kiss either, at the end; that was pretty much a turn-off -
and truth be known, I bet Jessi didn't like it either.

I bet that it was so hard - in some ways - for Jessi to do this song.
A great tribute to Waylon - she is one strong, strong lady and I have
SO much respect for her. God Bless Jessi!

@acashfan1 Jessi was one of Waylon's pals, one of the few female outlaws. I'm not sure how much coping was involved. :D
