I must clear the air here: Satanism, the Traditional Orthodox teachings of Satanism, is this 'Satan Worshiping' as people call it. It is worshiping many Gods, and does not condone any form of Atheism or Ego Worship. It incorporates other religions from around the world, as Satanism is the central conduit of The Left Hand path featuring religions of India, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.

All other forms that steal the name of Satanism are not supported by Traditional Satanism.

They too, are run by con artists an pranksters. Traditional Satanism does have more than one deity, and Lucifer is a name at the tip of the iceburg. I'm goth, atheist and an antitheist + my philosophy is satanism without the supernatural. And in my humble oppinion, goths that are religious are so hypocritical. It just doesn't fit. Also I have never met a religious goth of anykind. Goth scene here in Finland is so different.

Personally there is nothing wrong with Satanists either any more than Goths. I'm not a fan of religion at all and I'm not fond of LaVeyan Satanists because much of the information is stolen, there is also Luciferianism which is theistic. It does consist of worshipping Satan but Satan isn't the same as the Christian version. In Satanism he's a completely different deity all together only carrying the same name.

i totally agree and i often wear heavy eye makeup and i dont have a set religion but people always ask if i am goth idk why. but i also believe there is some misconception with paganism and wicca too. i often come across people who seem to think that wiccans and pagans are people who practice voodoo or black magic all day trying to summon the devil.

Paganism is actually a term (not a religion), typically the term is used to refer to any non-abrahamic religion. Wicca is a modern pagan religion. All wiccans are pagan, but not all pagans are wiccan. Instead of saying wicca & paganism, you could have just said paganism. Luciferism is the correct word, instead of devil worshipers lol. Other then that, I pretty much agree with what you said in this video. :]

Just a little info about the devil worshiping thing - these are satanists too, the satanists you're talking about are atheistic satanists, who use satan just as an image, but only the devil worshippers are the original and real satanists. Just for people wondering.

i think one of the biggest misconceptions is because of what Goths wear. Some wear a lot of pagan symbols (Pentagrams, Ankh's) or because they wear skulls and coffins, people associate those things with evil and such (because they're ignorant) I have also heard a lot of christians/catholics say that you can't follow jesus/god if you dress a certain way (which is also incredibly ignorant) People just need to grow up and learn that what you wear does not always reflect your beliefs!

They've been religious icons since long before Christianity came along, but I just wear them because they're simple, symmetrical symbols, and appeal to my taste. If someone assumes I'm Christian because of it, I don't get upset. I knew the cross's symbolism when I put it on. If I decide to start caring what people think and don't want them to assume things about me, I'll alter the way I choose to present myself.
