I wish I could rehome every single one of the poor staffies in rescue centres! Maybe when I win the lottery Ill buy a home with a huge garden and give them all the love they deserve! My Staff Eddie has been a godsend to me! he has helped look after me thru a long time of bad health and ops and I couldn't be without him! I just don't/can't understand how people can do this to any living animal but mainly to this lovable bread! I have to go my dog wants his bacon and egg lunch!! x x

I'm a 22 year old man and this brought a tear to my eyes and discusted me! Me and my girlfriend have seen videos like this when looking for other Staffy videos and it has brought the matter to our attention and we feel we need to do something about it,don't quite know what but something. We plan in years to come,to buy a run down house with a little land in Surrey or Sussex and do it up but before I think a trip down the rescue centre will be on the list :)

Those of us that prefer a smaller dog, want a breed like the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. But they're not that easy to come by in the States. Send us a boat filled with them...they'll find good homes, believe me.
I cant believe what I just seen n read its shocking what happened2tha poor staffy that got its ribs broke n fag burns and the other ones that where found dead :-(. I was almost in tears my staffy is 14 weeks old today and how could anyone miss treat them, he just wants love and attention, I feel kinda bad that I bought him when there are so many needing a home. fantastic vidio and very true, its a sad fact that some scum in this world think that a staffie is an evil dog but they arn't, they are pure love and the only danger comes in the form of farts. we rescued our irish staffordshire bull terrier 2 years ago from our local council dog pound and we still can't belive he was dumped by some one he was 1 year old. he is now a 4 stone extra leg always by your side or playing with the kids.

@mumsabout just search around your local area, theres bound to be a rescue centre nearby,, and if its a stafford you're interested in, there are bound to be some of those nearby too. or if you have a council pound by you, that deals with stray dogs, maybe you could take one from them & rescue it straight from death row. sounds like you can offer a dog an absolutely brilliant home, so deffo go for it. keep us posted on how you get on x
Hi, if you would like to re-home a staffie then visit old windsor battersea. They are full the brim with staffies of all ages and can offer you all the advise and help you need. We rescued a staff cross from there 5 years ago and would definately go back there again if we choose to re-home a 2nd dog. Staffies love nothing better than to cuddle up with their owner they just like to please and they have very funny little personalities ;-)
@mumsabout i Have a rescue staffy i adopted her about 6 months ago, from the Dogs Trust. A Lovely affectionate dog. Give them a firm hand and lots of love, they will pay you back with so much affection and trust. If you'r serious about taking on a staffy you may need to look further than Windsor. There is a Staffy out there who needs a home and you seem like the ideal people. Good luck!

This video almost broke my heart. I don't know how anybody could be cruel to an animal, let alone a Staffy. They're amazing dogs, I took the Staffy I have now into my home after his previous owner couldn't keep him. My Staffy is my world and I would definately be lost without him.
My staffie cross was rescued from a "home" where at 2 1/2 months old he was thrown against a wall, breaking his front leg and causing head injuries. He has some behavioural problems as a result of this, but he is a loyal, affectionate boy who we love and wouldn't change for the world. Why do people think they have to have a puppy to have a good dog. I've never had a puppy and never will, I will only have rescued dogs, ones that have special needs, and give special love.

i have 2 kids, youngest 2yr old and i could not ask for a better dog than my staffie. wouldnt ever consider leaving my kids around any other breed. they are fantastic family dogs loyal and excellent with children...a little giddy/hyper when pups but soon grow out of that and become true mother hens, true and utter most love for the breed..DONT HESITATE AND ADOPT YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!!!!!!!
I can't help but wonder how people can be so cruel to a dog that is so happy and loving. I mean, I can't even be mad at my staffy for more than two seconds at a time! -Couple of these images are not english staffies/stafforshire bull terriers. they are Amstaffs/american staffies or APBT/american pitbull terrier. Amstaffs and APBT are just as beautiful as eng. staffies, in both looks and personalities. Except amstaff and APBTs are larger in size. Eng. staffies are a medium sized dog, Amstaffs and APBT are large.-

I had an SBT4 12yrs b4she died of old age&she took me thru some very difficult&tragic yrs of my life.That was in South Africa where they r considered the ideal family dog,Im in Ireland now&just got a pup(didnt think of a shelter)4my kids&hv been since amazed&disheartened by the ignorance&bias of every1here who hv never even interacted with the breed. a tear came to my eye watching this.. i recently bought a staff for the fact i love them... she was bread as a puppy and it nearly killed her :( she is now with us and our 2 yr old boy and bonni (the staff) is more gentle with my son then what my mums lab is with him.. they have such bad rep and it snot fair! there not called nanny dogs for nuthin now r they! x

I've talked to loads of people who own Staffordshire bull terriers and other dogs and they all say that they're such nice dogs. People who have a bad opinion of them are just told these things from propaganda from the media. Example: i saw an article saying "number of dog bites increases" the picture was off a staffy. I researched the statistics and west highland terrier had the highest biting percentage! It's things like that that give them a bad name and bad owners.
I hate how people still think theyre mean even when they go through SO much in their lives and STILL manage to love people. I dont believe in buying animals - ANY animal, as there is always one in a shelter somewhere just waiting to be taken home. ..well.. ok.. maybe buy a fish or something, but you get my drift. I have even managed to find a rat rescue nearby for when I decide to get more, and there is always loads of babies there that no one wants because most people go straight to pet shops.
I got my first one when I was 11. She was so perfect that my mum had to get another. Staffies grew on us. Now at the age of fifteen we have 4. Two of them my mothers, two mine. I am learning new things everyday and I am doing so well on training mine does more than my mums!

I used to go to this adoption center to help out - There we're so many loving staffy's. And one was dumped there because she was 'vicious' but when I went in with her shejust nuzzled me and fell asleep. . . Now I have a Wir Haired Fox Terrier called Pepper and I have never hurt her. She loves me and when I have to leave her on her own, I give her a chew toy to amuse her.

My tutor has a staffie and when she was walking her a LABRADOR came out of nowhere and attacked HER! She didnt lay a paw on it, not even to defend herself! The lab had attacked other dogs as well. Its irresponsable owners that make them so bad, TRYING to make them mean to use as a status symbol. Tell me, oh great one, if the 'dangerous staffies' were on a lead, as it should be with any RESPONSIBLE owner, how could it attack an 'innocent dog'?
Exactly. I agree. I was walking my 4 year old sbt, A labrador attacked her and i had to put her above my head. The owner looked down on ME! Then last week a man set a springer SPANIEL on my 15 WEEK OLD sbt puppy. Some people are just cruel.
It's sad how many pits, staffies, or any similar looking breed of dogs end up in shelter.
I went to the shelter and met a wonderfull staffie mix used as a bait dog, who was missing half his face, but was still SO loving, with people, other dogs and animals, it's amazing how forgiving animals are.

i have a staffy named rockey, he is my life, and after my fiance and i get married, and get a house we plan on getting 2 dogs from a rescue shelter. yes the dogs in pet stores are nice, but people will always buy them, at least this way i can give 2 dogs the best life possible, i have so much love for dogs, its the best thing i can think of.
Wow, this video is so sad, I was fine until I saw the pic of the dead dog, then I just bawled. I forgot people could be so cruel. My staffy Harley passed away recently, and I am so glad I gave him the best life possible. I want to get another dog, and when I do it will be from an animal shelter... thanks for this video. My Staff/English Pitbull X, Fletch, was rescued from a shelter and it was the best thing I have ever done! Besides getting married of course! He is a handful but the most loving dog ever and we couldnt imagine him not being part of our lives! We have our first baby arriving in January and we cant wait for them to meet their furry brother!
My stepmother had a staffie who'd been rescued from a dog-fighting gang. She'd been kicked, abused, hat cigerettes burnt out on her and was being trained to be a fighter. Luckily the staffie was saved before it was too late and lived out her days with my family as a loving motherly dog.

when i got my staffie her father wasnt there but the dude i got her from had a special kennel that he built himself at the end of the garden with heating n stuff , her mother was there and there were loads of pictures round the walls of her mother and father together , her dad was a champion at crufts as well as her mum n well this man clearly really loved his staffies.

i saved 7 staffies,,, mum who was pregnant n 6 little pups who came along a few wks later,, all went to loving homes, which we keep in contact with now,,, 1 big staffy family,,,, wish i could rehome more xxx
Your video made me cry. I rescued a staffy about 7 years ago now, and I can't bear to think what she went through before we got her. She has a couple of facial scars and when we got her she had clearly just had puppies recently as her teats were still very large- dumped after she wasn't needed anymore. They still haven't completely gone down, that's how many times they bred her. She's now about 9 and still loving life.
And also, some tips for those of you looking to buy a puppy- don't just buy it from any old breeder!
Make sure that the breeder is known to be trustworthy, that you can see BOTH the parents and that they are socialised and do not react strangely to human interaction as these are signs that they are mistreated. Although it is tempting to pick the liveliest puppy, you should pick one that is neither too lively nor too passive, as a lively puppy often is harder to train amongst other problems
I used to love staffies so so much but recently i got attacked by one i am scared of staffies but after watching this video i realise its not there fault but even though i may never trust a staffie again i will try to encorouge people i no 2 buy them

I have had a staffy for 4 weeks now, we found him in the middle of no where, tied to a tree on the side of the road, he had wrapped himself around the tree so tight he caused a hernia. He is desexed, nothing physically wrong with him other then being slightly under weight, but somebody didnt want him any more. There loss is our gain I guess. Its taken him 4 weeks but he is finally starting to realise he is going to get feed twice a day EVERY day and will always have a warm bed to sleep in.

i have seen this vid a few times, and every time i cry like a baby, i have a staff an he is the most loving dog, brill wth kids, these people sld be shot.
That is so sad, especially since they are such great dogs. I heard a rumor that a breeder in my area had some "leftover" puppies that they couldn't sell (these were *supposedly* AKC, high quality $800 pups) and they were going on vacation, so they were bringing the remaining few (4 or 5 I think were left) to the vet to put them to sleep, if they didn't give them away by the next day. A friend of mine went to pick one up and I had her get one for me. I think the rest ended up in the pet store.
man id love to find the people responsible for some of them badly treated dogs and treat them the same way see how they like it, i have a staffie and he my besat friend so loving and gentle and really good with kids and people in general staffs need to be loved back if you own one of these dogs or any dog in general remember before you take it home it needs loving you wouldnt abuse your own child this way why should you do it to a dog

I wish I could rehome every single one of the poor staffies in rescue centres! Maybe when I win the lottery Ill buy a home with a huge garden and give them all the love they deserve! My Staff Eddie has been a godsend to me! he has helped look after me thru a long time of bad health and ops and I couldn't be without him! I just don't/can't understand how people can do this to any living animal but mainly to this lovable bread! I have to go my dog wants his bacon and egg lunch!! x x

I'm a 22 year old man and this brought a tear to my eyes and discusted me! Me and my girlfriend have seen videos like this when looking for other Staffy videos and it has brought the matter to our attention and we feel we need to do something about it,don't quite know what but something. We plan in years to come,to buy a run down house with a little land in Surrey or Sussex and do it up but before I think a trip down the rescue centre will be on the list :)

For my friends "across the pond," send your Staffies over here! We have a shortage! The pitbulls in the US have gotten so embarrassingly big, it's turning a lot of people off. Those of us that prefer a smaller dog, want a breed like the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. But they're not that easy to come by in the States. Send us a boat filled with them...they'll find good homes, believe me.

I cant believe what I just seen n read its shocking what happened2tha poor staffy that got its ribs broke n fag burns and the other ones that where found dead :-(. I was almost in tears my staffy is 14 weeks old today and how could anyone miss treat them, he just wants love and attention, I feel kinda bad that I bought him when there are so many needing a home. I have a Staffordshire. She is not my "pet". She is not my "dog". I am not her "master". She is my family and I am hers. Seeing those images breaks my heart. People that abuse their dogs should get charged just like abusing a human. Sad when you see the human race so insecure about itself even though the most powerful animal on the planet. @mumsabout just search around your local area, theres bound to be a rescue centre nearby,, and if its a stafford you're interested in, there are bound to be some of those nearby too. or if you have a council pound by you, that deals with stray dogs, maybe you could take one from them & rescue it straight from death row. sounds like you can offer a dog an absolutely brilliant home, so deffo go for it. keep us posted on how you get on x

Hi, if you would like to re-home a staffie then visit old windsor battersea. They are full the brim with staffies of all ages and can offer you all the advise and help you need. We rescued a staff cross from there 5 years ago and would definately go back there again if we choose to re-home a 2nd dog. Staffies love nothing better than to cuddle up with their owner they just like to please and they have very funny little personalities ;-)

@mumsabout i Have a rescue staffy i adopted her about 6 months ago, from the Dogs Trust. A Lovely affectionate dog. Give them a firm hand and lots of love, they will pay you back with so much affection and trust. If you'r serious about taking on a staffy you may need to look further than Windsor. There is a Staffy out there who needs a home and you seem like the ideal people. Good luck!

My staffie cross was rescued from a "home" where at 2 1/2 months old he was thrown against a wall, breaking his front leg and causing head injuries. He has some behavioural problems as a result of this, but he is a loyal, affectionate boy who we love and wouldn't change for the world. Why do people think they have to have a puppy to have a good dog. I've never had a puppy and never will, I will only have rescued dogs, ones that have special needs, and give special love.

i have 2 kids, youngest 2yr old and i could not ask for a better dog than my staffie. wouldnt ever consider leaving my kids around any other breed. they are fantastic family dogs loyal and excellent with children...a little giddy/hyper when pups but soon grow out of that and become true mother hens, true and utter most love for the breed..DONT HESITATE AND ADOPT YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!!!!!!!

-Couple of these images are not english staffies/stafforshire bull terriers. they are Amstaffs/american staffies or APBT/american pitbull terrier. Amstaffs and APBT are just as beautiful as eng. staffies, in both looks and personalities. Except amstaff and APBTs are larger in size. Eng. staffies are a medium sized dog, Amstaffs and APBT are large.-

I had an SBT4 12yrs b4she died of old age&she took me thru some very difficult&tragic yrs of my life.That was in South Africa where they r considered the ideal family dog,Im in Ireland now&just got a pup(didnt think of a shelter)4my kids&hv been since amazed&disheartened by the ignorance&bias of every1here who hv never even interacted with the breed. I continually find myself defending the breed,I never had2do this in SAfrica.

I've talked to loads of people who own Staffordshire bull terriers and other dogs and they all say that they're such nice dogs. People who have a bad opinion of them are just told these things from propaganda from the media. Example: i saw an article saying "number of dog bites increases" the picture was off a staffy. I researched the statistics and west highland terrier had the highest biting percentage! It's things like that that give them a bad name and bad owners.

I hate how people still think theyre mean even when they go through SO much in their lives and STILL manage to love people. I dont believe in buying animals - ANY animal, as there is always one in a shelter somewhere just waiting to be taken home. ..well.. ok.. maybe buy a fish or something, but you get my drift. I have even managed to find a rat rescue nearby for when I decide to get more, and there is always loads of babies there that no one wants because most people go straight to pet shops.

I got my first one when I was 11. She was so perfect that my mum had to get another. Staffies grew on us. Now at the age of fifteen we have 4. Two of them my mothers, two mine. I am learning new things everyday and I am doing so well on training mine does more than my mums!
I begin my A levels this year and then hope to study as a veterinary student at Oxford University. People say Staffies are bad. I disagree. People say fifteen year olds are unknowledgable. I disagree.

Totally agree; I have two and wanted to breed but WON'T because I can't risk a stupid arsehole taking the babes and abusing them or dumping them because they aren't the "tough" dog they think they are. Such misconception about this amazing, loving, gentle breed, Staffs are the best dog you could ever own and the best breed to have with kids. They ask for nothing and give you everything they have. I used to go to this adoption center to help out - There we're so many loving staffy's. And one was dumped there because she was 'vicious' but when I went in with her shejust nuzzled me and fell asleep. . . Now I have a Wir Haired Fox Terrier called Pepper and I have never hurt her. She loves me and when I have to leave her on her own, I give her a chew toy to amuse her.

My tutor has a staffie and when she was walking her a LABRADOR came out of nowhere and attacked HER! She didnt lay a paw on it, not even to defend herself! The lab had attacked other dogs as well. Its irresponsable owners that make them so bad, TRYING to make them mean to use as a status symbol. Tell me, oh great one, if the 'dangerous staffies' were on a lead, as it should be with any RESPONSIBLE owner, how could it attack an 'innocent dog'?

Exactly. I agree. I was walking my 4 year old sbt, A labrador attacked her and i had to put her above my head. The owner looked down on ME! Then last week a man set a springer SPANIEL on my 15 WEEK OLD sbt puppy. Some people are just cruel.

I went to the shelter and met a wonderfull staffie mix used as a bait dog, who was missing half his face, but was still SO loving, with people, other dogs and animals, it's amazing how forgiving animals are.

i have a staffy named rockey, he is my life, and after my fiance and i get married, and get a house we plan on getting 2 dogs from a rescue shelter. yes the dogs in pet stores are nice, but people will always buy them, at least this way i can give 2 dogs the best life possible, i have so much love for dogs, its the best thing i can think of.

Wow, this video is so sad, I was fine until I saw the pic of the dead dog, then I just bawled. I forgot people could be so cruel. My staffy Harley passed away recently, and I am so glad I gave him the best life possible. I want to get another dog, and when I do it will be from an animal shelter... thanks for this video. Very harsh, but a nice reminder of what we should do.

My Staff/English Pitbull X, Fletch, was rescued from a shelter and it was the best thing I have ever done! Besides getting married of course! He is a handful but the most loving dog ever and we couldnt imagine him not being part of our lives! We have our first baby arriving in January and we cant wait for them to meet their furry brother!

My stepmother had a staffie who'd been rescued from a dog-fighting gang. She'd been kicked, abused, hat cigerettes burnt out on her and was being trained to be a fighter. Luckily the staffie was saved before it was too late and lived out her days with my family as a loving motherly dog.
And my Father's staffie is just as kind if a little dopey, he's scared of everything including the pet rabbits, who chased him xD how wish I'd video'd that.

when i got my staffie her father wasnt there but the dude i got her from had a special kennel that he built himself at the end of the garden with heating n stuff , her mother was there and there were loads of pictures round the walls of her mother and father together , her dad was a champion at crufts as well as her mum n well this man clearly really loved his staffies.

Your video made me cry. I rescued a staffy about 7 years ago now, and I can't bear to think what she went through before we got her. She has a couple of facial scars and when we got her she had clearly just had puppies recently as her teats were still very large- dumped after she wasn't needed anymore. They still haven't completely gone down, that's how many times they bred her. She's now about 9 and still loving life.

And also, some tips for those of you looking to buy a puppy- don't just buy it from any old breeder!
Make sure that the breeder is known to be trustworthy, that you can see BOTH the parents and that they are socialised and do not react strangely to human interaction as these are signs that they are mistreated. Although it is tempting to pick the liveliest puppy, you should pick one that is neither too lively nor too passive, as a lively puppy often is harder to train amongst other problems

I have had a staffy for 4 weeks now, we found him in the middle of no where, tied to a tree on the side of the road, he had wrapped himself around the tree so tight he caused a hernia. He is desexed, nothing physically wrong with him other then being slightly under weight, but somebody didnt want him any more. There loss is our gain I guess. Its taken him 4 weeks but he is finally starting to realise he is going to get feed twice a day EVERY day and will always have a warm bed to sleep in.

That is so sad, especially since they are such great dogs. I heard a rumor that a breeder in my area had some "leftover" puppies that they couldn't sell (these were *supposedly* AKC, high quality $800 pups) and they were going on vacation, so they were bringing the remaining few (4 or 5 I think were left) to the vet to put them to sleep, if they didn't give them away by the next day. A friend of mine went to pick one up and I had her get one for me. I think the rest ended up in the pet store.

I'am an american service member living in Britain. I bought a staffy three years ago and love the dog to death. I can't believe people criminalize this breed. She loves kids people and i havenever had a problem around other dogs.
