Gatlin's form is just perfect, he had one of the quickest starts in the world and some of the best top-end speed out there. My goodness, if he woulda stayed clean i think he would be down at around 9.69 time with Usain Bolt.

I don't think he was in 3 straight olympic finals at 100m. He won Bronze in 2000 and was in this final in 2004, but I don't think he was in the 100m final in Atlanta. I know the finals Bailey, Fredricks and Bolden won the medals, Mitchell and Marsh came 4th and 5th, Christie was DQ. I think there were 2 Nigerian runners which would round out that final, but Oba was 4th in Atlanta at 200m, that I do remember.

Yeah you are right, but he did come 4th in the 200m in 1996. It's a good think that i am cloaked in anonmity otherwise i'd be very embarassed. Anyway, he has still run the fastest 100m in history @ 9.69sec ( Wind assisted but not drug assisted!!!) Big up Oba forever!!!! One of the most consistent sprinters of all time!!!

doping aside, that and the 1991 tokyo 100m final were the best in history. six men ran 10.00 or under. wow! shame you can't tell which ones are doped up to the eyeballs these days. lifetime bans for cheats, and much more funding into drugs testing research i say!
