I played one of these badboys just today... thought the clean was a little thin, but that was probably because I didn't turn it up past 3. What do you think about the cleans? I liked what you had set up in the beginning here. But aside from the clean channel... oh jeez, the OD is great! Thanks for the demo!
I love the clean on this amp and the overdrive too but mine broke down. It keeps coughing if you know what I mean, like with static and all. Gotta get it fixed. Thank God I still have the warranty.
if you bought a cabinet with the same ohms as this amp, am i right in thinking it wont make it louder? it will still only produce 40w of power? also how is this amp, without added distortion pedals, for the likes of metallica? i played the 15w version with the gain cranked right up and it was nailing it and im just wondering if its the same case with the 40w?
these little amps rock, mucho bang for the buck here. I use one to gig with on a regular basis. Easy to move, built in decent digital effects, 2 tube channels, each with boost. You should get the optional 4 button foot switch so you have more control at your feet. This amp can cover a lot of territory, so you arent stuck with one or 2 sounds
Shame you have to add boost, which I presume you had to because you were using a strat?? Fingers crossed you don't have to if using a Gibson - I have had many amps, and the absolute best was an old Vox AC30, and a Marshall 50w flat out, no pedals, nothing but a Gibson - perfect, so I am hoping this little beauty can do the same, to my mind, once you have to add a boost pedal you kill the character!
@hootersnooter@hootersnooter I've got this amp and I usually have the boost on for when I use my American G&L Legacy, but I also have used it with my friends Gibson Les Paul. I'm not sure what exact model but it was definitely higher end, with a natural finish flame-top. I think it was the Studio Premium Plus. It sounded great with both the Boost and Bright switches on the amp engaged. Real punchy with nice balance. Without it it sounded a little flat and less round I would say
hell yea, Breathe-Pink Floyd. Im getting one of these. theyre so badass, everytime i go to guitar center i play on this amp. its pretty loud for its size
Sounds great. How are you running your Vox Satchurator and what settings are you using. I just ordered one and it would save alot of trial and error. Thanks
Wow, this little Marshall sounds great and looks great.

Hey how do you think this would sound trying to emulate Eric Clapton?
GuitarFreakzor101 1 year ago
Should I get this or the 15 watt head? I'm looking for something that sounds warm and has great 60's, 70's power tube overdrive. Thanks.
cooldragon111 1 year ago
@cooldragon111 And to get that 60's 70's crunch I will be craning it up so crankability is a factor.
cooldragon111 1 year ago
Hey how would you say this would sound for a guns n' roses sound?
jolson93 1 year ago
perfect kinda sound for guns n roses. There's not really that much gain in this amp,but when crankend it can sound amazing!
fender51503 1 year ago
@fender51503 just hook up a distortion pedal and its perfect for a gnr song
6stringsandaneck 1 year ago
@jolson93 I have this amp and I have been thinking how much like the GnR sound it has. I use a TS9 in front of it with a medium gain level.
Perfect.

zackvanhalen 2 years ago
I got it for about $700.Not a bad price for what your getting. The 15 watt head is $600 alone and $250 a piece for both of the cabs
fender51503 2 years ago
Sounds great. How are you running your Vox Satchurator and what settings are you using. I just ordered one and it would save alot of trial and error. Thanks
wkrielow 2 years ago
I run everything on the satchurator........
gain-10 o clock
tone-10 o clock
volume-10 o clock
pad switch-on
Now the way you set the volume on your amp, will vary on how you set the volume on the pedal,Thanks.
