I think you will have a tough time convincing folks who have been brainwashed all their lives by society, the school curriculums, hollywood and the media to associate money with happiness that money doesn't bring happiness. There is the old joke that money does not buy happiness but everyone wants to find out for themselves :) I like Russell Simmons quote (paraphrased) about the happiness that money brings being as fleeting as the smoke on a junkie's pipe.
I need to make a new series on this subject because some of the commenters here are misinterpreting what I'm saying. That tends to happen a lot on YouTube...
That is the KEY. Use it, but don't abuse it. Now back to money allowing you to be yourself.
If you didn't have to work, what would you do? Would you spend more time with your kids and other family members? Would you do what you always wanted to do with yourself? Maybe traveling, anthropological trips to mexico, or feeding and providing shelter to those homeless on the other side of town. What i'm trying to stress here is that money gives you FREEDOM. It is ultimately up to you how you use it.

Your example not surprisingly, have been exploited by the media. Why do you think? Because they make good tv ratings! That's why.
Take the time to meet people who have really made it, who still know who they are inside. Let's look at a better example, Oprah. She said that success can only be measured by one's service to others. She has always wanted to help others, and by doing this, and doing this very well, she has become extremely successful, both as an individual, AND financially.
The fact is that people who are "self-made", in other words, people who have developed themselves and their money simultaneously, don't lose the money as fast as you'd like to think.
Sure, these people go through divorces and such, but so do WE.
The fact is that being financially independent, not having to work because of enough cashflow coming in, allows people to be more of who YOU are. Of course, you have to be prepared for success. You just can't be be thrown in.

The reason about 80% of people who win the lottery declare bankrupcy within the first 5 years of winnning the money is simply because they haven't developed a millionare mindset. There is a term in psychology that explains why this happens.
Money is not happiness..LOL. I cant even afford to go to the doctor for this headaches I been having. I probably need surgery but guess what...I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO COVER IT!!. Insurance company doesnt cover enough so im S.O.L...The problem is that people like to brainwashed themselves so they dont feel depress. Oh yeah, by the way, where is GOD?? You need to grow up and think for yourself. God gave us the power to help ourselves. There are rich people who are sick and dying daily. There are rich people who are depressed and popping pills to ease the pain. Yes money can solve a great deal of problems---I NEVER denied that. I do agree with you about Brittney, Iron Mike as well as many other celebrities and even professional athletes like Michael Vick (he just went bankrupt). In fact, I know people locally that make $80-100,000 a year (which is a good income) and they cry that they can't live on that.

If I didn't believe it was important I wouldn't be working on my masters to gain a higher paying position and wouldn't be building businesses.

Money is happiness I don't see poor people very happy. Those celebrities are not really unhappy they just don't appreciate all the money they have so they're more like ungrateful to life than unhappy, unhappy are those who are homeless.
I think you missed the mark godlesssouls. Money can AID us in bringing happiness to be sure. However, Aristole told us that happiness should be something that no one can take from us. Mike Tyson went from 300 million to bankrupcy. You mean to tell me that he was still happy? Britany Spears had mental brakedowns and now has lost custody of her children---that's happiness? Happiness is an inward blessing, a state of mind. Peace.

You know nothing about me or what I have. I wore designer clothes when I was a baby! As an adult I am not into that. I do not live paycheck to paycheck. Money does rules this world, but I am not conformed to this world. Furthermore, I believe I laid out why money, in and of itself, cannot make us truly happy. It can bring a semblance of happiness, if we use it wisely, as I also stated in the video. Did you even look at it?
