nice rifle setup!thanksfor your service abroad!while you fight abroad for our freedoms,i will keep fighting here,so your freedoms will still be here when you get home!
How does your BCM handle the can on there with it being a DI gas system, any problems with fouling. going to be getting a mid length like your and probley a 11.5 with a can. Heard Piston is best for SBR's with cans but BCM has always been at the top of my list
I have a question, My buddy just built a mk12 spr and was looking for a good bipod. I was wondering what type of bipod you are using in this video and would this be ok to run on a mk 12 setup? Thanks!!
@datzitteezy I recently completed my own Mk12 Mod01 SPR as well. In this video I'm using a Harris NON-swivel bipod with a Larue Tactical QD mount. On my Mk12 SPR I'm running a Harris Swivel bipod in a custom-built Larue Tactical mount. The Swivel version is WAY better! Even with using blue loctite the non-swivel comes loose from the LT mount and is very hard to keep level.
The swivel version (BRM-S) is friggin' awesome & you can buy it directly from Larue in their custom QD mount. Buy it!!
@Tyson200422 all the states that allow silencers have the same process, its federally mandated under the national firearms act of 1934. i suggest surefire earpro
@saltyninja01 by sandbox im assuming u mean iraq/afghanistan>??thats usually what people mean by sandbox., n i dont think retreathell will be goin back, i think he's already given enough, how bout u go..
@saltyninja01 DOnt listen to that douchebag...I find it repulsive that people keep thinking their fighting for our freedoms half way around the world when our freedoms are being taken right here in Washington....Frankly...I dont thank people who go to Iraq because it was not for us....it was for Halliburton and the military industrial complex...not our freedoms thats complete bullshit....and if you think that is the case your a fucking tool...
@YewPube I'm almost positive it doesn't. I never use 30 rounders when I've got the bipod deployed though, so it's a non-issue for me personally.
If you do get the Harris 6-9" bipod, make sure you buy the one from Larue Tactical that has a custom built-in QD mount. It's also is the swivel version, which is much better than the fixed bipods IMHO.
@RetreatHell: I have a AR-LITE 12" rail and was looking into a Harris (not sure 6-9 or 9-12 yet) bipod with ARMS adapter which is pricey as well, but looks like the Larue Tactical already comes with an adapter so it comes out to be about the same price.
@rednoseroxy You're not actually being serious, are you? You do realize that a shit-ton of guys who're into guns/training use the phrase "YMMV," right? It's simply a quick & easy way of telling people, "Just because this particular XXX works the best for me doesn't mean it will also work the best for you, & doesn't mean I'm saying it's the best XXX out there, either."
Get it? Make sense? See how saying, "Your mileage may vary" is easer than typing all that?
@jbolinger4354 I actually notice that my suppressor and my friends' cans all sound louder when out in the open with trees surrounding the area. So I guess I notice the direct opposite. Whenever I'm shooting close up on the 25 yard range, surrounded by large dirt berms on 3 sides, it sounds a LOT quieter -I'm guessing because the dirt berms absorb the sound and there's not any open space for the sound to echo at all really. That's just my observations, your mileage may vary though.
@kl8890 You're very welcome. Thank you for the acknowledgement.
Whenever our fellow Americans thank us for our service, it really does mean a lot to us combat vets who have fought our enemies overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan (among other places); especially us Wounded Warriors who've sacrificed so much of our bodies for the country we love and value above all else.
@MrBrandonMichael I'll shoot it. I'm not really prejudiced against any ammo for training. Right now I'm shooting the hell out of Hornady's 55gr FMJ Training ammo. It's great stuff and very affordable. I've shot around 3,000+ rounds of it through my carbines now and have only had one failure to fire IIRC. It's only $269 for 1,000 rounds at the "Ammunition To Go" website. They've got some damn good price and ship VERY fast!
Judging by your screen name I'm guessing that you're prior service with the Marines.
Awesome video! What kind of ammunition where you using? I was pretty amazed that it didn't look like you were shooting a black powder rifle. Also, what kind of charging handle do you have? Whenever I shot supressed ARs (normally 16bbl w/ carbine gas tube, I know...) I looked like a coal miner after 120 rounds or so.
@MegaGewehr2 Yes I am (see my previous comment for details). I'm using the fairly cheap Hornady 55gr Training ammo. It's really great training ammo for a great price. I'm using a BCM Gunfighter charging handle, which is by far the best CH available today IMHO. I personally think it helps more with suppressor blowback than the much more expensive PRI Gas Buster CH, which I used in the past. But the primary reason for the lack of blowback you see is b/c this AR has a custom smaller gas port.
@RetreatHell Thanks for the info. I'm going to have to order 3 of those BCM CH's, especially because they're 1/2 the price of PRI's. I have a white oak 18" bbl with a mid length gas tube, and I really wish I would've gone with a smaller gas port or rifle length gas tube. Anytime I hang my buddie's borrowed suppressor on there it gets WAY over gassed. I'll have to look up that Hornady ammo, because xM193 is just a hair too pricey to enjoy shooting, especially when it's only 2-3moa.
@decodeddiesel 2.5-10X24 with mil-dot reticle. All the details and specs are in the description box above, I think I remembered to include everything but might have missed something or another.
@GunWebsites Probably not. Don't know if I'd be good at the whole review thing. I basically just bought a cheapo soldering iron and made hundreds of little holes in the areas of the AFG where my hand and fingers make contact. You just have to be careful not to go too deep or make it too aggressive, and you have to be extremely patient while doing it or it'll look like shit.
