As much as I love Jari Mäenpää and his ingenuity for that band, Wintersun has only managed to release one album in 8 years whilst Tyr has managed to release 6 great albums since 1998 and is now quite widely renowned. Tyr are far well more known than Wintersun are, and once again you're also comparing bands of two entirely seperate sub-genres so of course the ratio is going to be different.

The only difference between old Tyr and new Tyr is a bit more tightness and planning in the songs, and a bit more speed. The old songs on the early albums seemed to wander a bit. Not that I don't love those.

The only difference between old Tyr and new Tyr is a bit more tightness and planning in the songs, and a bit more speed. The old songs on the early albums seemed to wander a bit. Not that I don't love those.

Thrymr stahl Thors Hammer Mjölnir, der die Götter vor den Eisriesen schützt. Thrymr schlug Thor vor, Mjölnir einzutauschen, wenn Freyja Thrymr heiratet. Thor ging zum Schein auf den Handel ein, er verkleidete sich als Freyja und zog zusammen mit Loki zur Eisriesenfestung. Thrymr war misstrauisch, wurde aber von Loki immer wieder beruhigt. Durch die Redekunst Lokis konnte Thrymr dazu gebracht werden, den Hammer der "Braut" zu geben. Thor tötete mit dem Hammer gleich alle Riesen und auch Thrym
