Think about the psychological component for a moment with Paul before he found Adam again: You see your fellow rider who you are relying on for continuing support succomb to illness. Meanwhile you haven't had your breakfast and its lunchtime (yeah, those calories gotta come from somewhere!). Oh yeah the wind is blowing from the direction your headed too. Not that you aren't used to it... but you're starting to feel the toll... And Adam's feeling it all the same too...
