It's not that haku is a girl, nor is it that he's gay. It's really more of a father/son relationship. Zabuza has *NO ONE* in his life, but haku was like his only companion and he loves the boy like a son. He's the only thing he's got left in this world, and as coldhearted as he seems, he still loves the kid like a son. This is a hopefully more accurate and less degrading opinion than what most people think.

Why does it make one gay if he loves (not in a romantic way) his friend? I think that's the problem nowadays with this country, kids have become so shallow and immature it hurts.
It's the nature of children to be shallow and immature; the issue is when they don't grow out of it.
There's a lot to be said for platonic love, and it's just silly to go around trying to read every character as gay, but I find it hard not to see Haku's level of almost-obsessive devotion as somewhat romantic in nature, and given the tradition of Shudo, I'd argue it could be requited.
Tl;dr: It's love, one way or another, and there's nothing wrong with it either way.

Why does it make one gay if he loves (not in a romantic way) his friend? I think that's the problem nowadays with this country, kids have become so shallow and immature it hurts.

It's the nature of children to be shallow and immature; the issue is when they don't grow out of it.
There's a lot to be said for platonic love, and it's just silly to go around trying to read every character as gay, but I find it hard not to see Haku's level of almost-obsessive devotion as somewhat romantic in nature, and given the tradition of Shudo, I'd argue it could be requited.
Tl;dr: It's love, one way or another, and there's nothing wrong with it either way.

He is neutral, he is getting paid to kill Tazuna so he has to fight Kaqkashi and naruto until HIs contracter Gatoh (The fat ugly one with the broken arm) betrays him. Oh and Haku isn't a girl. Its a boy. Zabuza treats him like a son...Well...sometimes

in the manga character analysis by Kishi himself it states Haku IS in fact a boy, not a girl. If kishi planned it to be a lie he'd put U/A or summin next to sex, not male.
