The great thing about Bob Ross is that even if you dont paint, just listening to the guy was as good as watching the amazing result at the end of his painting. I watch him mostly to listen to him lol his voice and his humour and just the way he is when painting is so cool lol.. What makes it even worse is when he's painting a stream, river or lake, and I hear the waterfall fountain outside, while he's talking in that soothing voice and that would put me out in about 15 minutes flat, if that. Then I would miss the rest of the show. So. I found a solution. I started to tape the show. But while you're watching it, chow on something and drink something that will keep you awake.

I remember watching Bob Ross on PBS when I was a kid. Now I'm an adult and take art classes with a Bob Ross Instructor. Every time I hear him say "you can do this, give it a try or send me a picture of your painting", I really want to, then I remember he is no longer with us. He is missed as a great painter, a teacher, and a great example of what mankind should be. He is gone, yet we can still enjoy him through his Joy of Painting series. RIP

I have to wonder what the mindset was behind his product line, obviously someone is making money selling this line of art supplies.

Well I guess you have to ride on the name which really is unfortunate, the majority of the Bob Ross art supplies is nothing but high priced, low quality junk.
