@skate4theherb Striple is the naked version of the Daytona. That means 10less hp.

But its way more fun than other SS 600's cause of low-mid range torque(and high) . SS's got ONLY high range (scary) power (12k to 16k rpm) They are totally opposite considering your dirt bikes.

@skate4theherb I had a RR600 before my Street Triple and I have to admit my Street Triple is way more fun, as previously said the low-mid range torque makes this bike fun everywhere. With the RR I had to push it high on RPM to have fun. The ST is like a bmx with an engine on it. Really easy to ride.

You're right the bike does sound great and while I wouldn't mind waking up to that growling triple I have come to realize that ,however unfortunate, not everyone feels the same. Just remember we live in a nanny nation and when in public on your bike you represent motorcyclist everywhere. When I fire up my cold natured superhawk in the early am I point the pipes back into the garage while it warms up. Not sure if it helps, but it eases my conscience.

First season: street triple R or an old Supermoto in order to learn wheelie etc.

Anyway the seat never were totally black .

Its dark grey .

Here looks like light grey because of the sun and a bad camera.

If u want to practice on wheelies , endos etc etc , better get a used bike.

A 250-400cc One cylinder Motocross will be fine and its long suspsension will last more ..

If u want to stunt with your bike most of the time , u gonna fall ... that's for sure.

Get a cage for your engine , armor for u , and just do it ....

I don't have the effortlessness to get another one since im gonna pay for this for 3 more years :P

I want to keep this bike as long as i can.

I want to have as much fun i can with the less risk it can be.

yea , its extremely easy to pull a wheelie up with this bike . once i tried to wheelie a shiver750 and i had to use clutch and almost all the throttle with 1st gear....

I can easily pulll it up with3d gear too , and im newbie ... i guess a pro can clutch it up with 4th gear too :P.

I really can't compare this bike with anything in its category.

ahhh . years on ( multiple ) gsxr 750's,im torn between the sportiness of the street,and the badass nature of the speed triple.+1 to what most are saying bro.and its all in good nature.gear is worth it. just think about it like this . put your helmet on,get in the back of a friends truck and jump out at 40 mph.you will lose major skin. have crashed on the street and track in full gear and minimal and done northern cali trips in july (110 +degrees)in full gear.its worth it. be safe and sensible

the main part of your gear is what's between your ears. :) A guy next office who lowsided w/o gear (just helmet, no gloves, boots... was it t-shirt) at 35mph i think will have the road rash for a few next years for sure...

I got full gear when im gonna run over than 100km/h . im wearing it usually for trips ....

Damn ... it is not that easy to wear a full gear while the temperature on SHADOW is about 40++ C. :)
