I propose an "Email Bomb". Let us set a day when all of us email our friends and family with a plea to watch a single Ron Paul video of either a debate or interview. I feel the media has painted him as an extremist wacko for decades now, and we must let people see what he is really about.
In this effort, I would hope that everyone also includes how to register as a Republican and why, along with the Primary election dates for their state.
This would be a good alternative if you don't have the money to donate to the "Money Bomb", as word of mouth from a trusted friend or family member is much better than any campaign advertisement.

I think Ron Paul won the Ames Straw Poll. Look at the results: he was only 152 votes behind that idiot Bachmann. This is just a theory, but I think that the establishment couldn't stomach a RP victory, and therefore they rigged it, just as they did in New Hampshire back in 2008.

@CosmicDamian I do agree that he has a slim chance of winning the primaries, but that's the only way he'll be able to be elected President. If he runs as an independent he'll only split the vote, but if he can somehow win the primaries, he would have a VERY good shot at beating Obama.

Liquidation of debt and bankruptcy would help the long term sustainability of the economy. it would have its own share of consequences, different from the ones we face today, but still consequences. but i think we'd see less political posturing and better overall decency towards your fellow men and women. we don't have to get all the way to paul's principled stance for things to get better, but we could benefit from moving toward that direction. as usual, ron paul makes some reasonable points.

I think Ron Paul won the Ames Straw Poll. Look at the results: he was only 152 votes behind that idiot Bachmann. This is just a theory, but I think that the establishment couldn't stomach a RP victory, and therefore they rigged it, just as they did in New Hampshire back in 2008.

NBC is owned by General Electric, one of the world's leading military contractors. In the past decade, GE has benefited financially from the global war on terrorism and currently holds almost $2 billion in military contracts. Now you know why exactly NBC news can't be trusted and why the censor Ron Paul (because if he got elected he'd immediately end the wars the U.S. has overseas, so that's bad business for NBC's owner GE. wow, if anything, Ron Paul's mind has become sharper over the years. He delivered his argument quite convincingly, almost as an economics expert.
Then again, he understands economic philosophy in greater depth than most Economists and certainly virtually any politician.

Even though he sounded incredulous, I'm glad the anchor asked Ron to stop and explain what he meant by the government's default being inevitable. Every time I hear Ron (or Rand) say this, there is a stunning lack of journalistic integrity or even basic curiosity from the press. Sometimes it seems like their attitude is that they can't ignore it and move on fast enough.

It astounds me that even my own family members, who say they support Ron, tell me that he has no chance of winning. That is exactly the kind of defeatist attitude that causes indifference, which leads to letting the fools and liars win.

@k97cross: You have NOOO idea how much this irks me. Whenever I talk to people about Ron, it's always one of two things: 1. They will say how great he is, because he has common sense. BUT, he won't win because he's too extreme. OR 2. He's a wacko, he'll never win. To those who fall along the lines of #1, I ask you, is picking the lesser of two evils not still evil? president will ultimately be the same. Most of them are just cookie cutters, pruned for office... This could be just me, but I feel many people are starting to feel this way. Now, to those who fall under #2, I ask, what makes him a wacko? When I reply with this question, most answer, "he's a religious nut" or the more meritable response, "he's too unwavering in his views, he'd get nothing done." To the first I say, "you obviously know nothing of him."

Ron Paul's only weakness, he is too Modest. A lesser Canidate would be all over this saying I TOLD YOU SO, I WAS THE ONLY ONE. He doesn't because he truly cares about the issue more than his own power. There is no one better for President.

Liquidation of debt and bankruptcy would help the long term sustainability of the economy. it would have its own share of consequences, different from the ones we face today, but still consequences. but i think we'd see less political posturing and better overall decency towards your fellow men and women. we don't have to get all the way to paul's principled stance for things to get better, but we could benefit from moving toward that direction. as usual, ron paul makes some reasonable points.

I will vote for him if he makes the Republican nomination, which he hopefully will! Otherwise I will vote for him as an independent.
About gold though, anything is better than a fiat currency, but silver is better than gold because it is harder for a cabal like the Fed to control.
