How many of those Soviet blasts were ground bursts? Scary if they were, but not unlike the Soviets, who had little regard for their own citizens. A ground burst would draw up and spread radioactive dust, dirt and debris fallout for miles. That is why Trinity and Hiroshima/Nagasaki were air bursts.
Okay, you used the same footage for Joe-19 and Tsar Bomba...you just slowed the Tsar down for effect. It's the same blast, just different angles. Believe me, I've reviewed this footage several times for the lectures I use in my class.
yeah, and also compare the mushroom cloud stems of the exlosions. Joe 19 and the Tsar footage both show a closeup on the bottom part of the mushroom cloud or the "stem". If you look closely, the bottom of the Joe-19 stem is straight up, while the Tsar stem is more like of a tree shape.

No, note the size of the fireballs and the reaction to the ground. Tsar's fireball touches the ground and rebounds, joe 19's didn't.
