  • Hi lucozaderable. Thanks for your reply to my comment. We did not have much luck finding Ivermectin in Australia. So as a result we are still all being bitten, that is the chooks and all the family. Will try to get Harkamectin as in a post someone states that Ivermectin and Harkamectin are the same thing. Administering on the back of the chooks neck seems easy and that is always a more attractive option for a busy mum like me. Thanks again.

  • Not a bad video but you didn't tell your viewers that you used an Ivermectin pour on, what brand it was or exactly how many drops to use.

I just bought Ivermectin horse wormer, took a small piece of white bread and put a dab about the size of a small pea on it, rolled it up in a ball and shoved it down the chickens throat. My medicine only cost mt $2.50 and I still have half a tube left. Your medicine can cost $30 a bottle.

  • @Vampyra65

I am using Harkamectin now. 6 drops of Harkamectin 0.35% on the back to the birds neck will do the trick, I do this every 6 months. That is what i am using at the moment, of course consult a vet to make sure. Do not eat the eggs for 2 weeks after dosing.

Do a google search for harkamectin.

In this video I used 2 drops of 1% ivermectin that you can buy for pigeons and parrots.

Harkamectin and Ivemectin are the same thing.

    Thanks for the advice.

  • @lucozaderable

You can also buy Ivermectin sheep drench but my way is cheaper. There is no withdrawal period for eggs after using Ivermectin. Show me what you read saying you had to do that. I don't toss my eggs and most others don't either.

  • @Vampyra65 The place where i bought the ivermectin said 2 weeks withdrawl for eggs, google it, i read 7 days on another site. Ask your vet to be sure. There seems to be confusion about this. I fried the eggs and gave them to my dog and he liked them. So they weren't wasted.

  • Thank you for your video post. Chickens are amazing animals.

  • @CartelKing yep, they are lovely little creatures, thanks :)

  • Thanks for taking the time to post your video. Never mind the comment below. You have to forgive a person who posts a comment like that. They are strange. You known how it is. Thx again.

  • @marineceriseazure Thanks for the support.

  • IVERMECTIN DROPS 0.8%

    sorry just checked it's .8%

  • ivermectin 0.08%

  • What are you using?

  • So nice video. Why you are not uploading regularly? You are a lucky guy, bcoz nobody want to eat your hens. But in my case whenever i tried to have hens as pet, some bad man catches them and eats them. They can catch the hens because my hens come closer them. Once upon a time i had hens, one was 9 years old. I have still her feathers. Ok please upload similar videos. Thx.

  • @MrBhargab123 I'll try and post more, thanks
