  • Neil looks like Clint Eastwood here

  • hahaha their taking the piss out of the fact that their lip syncing!

  • ESTA ROLA LE QUEDA EN ESTOS MOMENTOS A LO QUE ESTA PASANDO EN NUESTRO PAIS (MEXICO) E NARCO,ES LA PRINCIPAL FUENTE DE DE CAMBIO EN NUESTRA SOCIEDAD,LA FALTA DE EDUCACION VA DE LA MANO CON EL DESEMPLEO,LA EXTORSION, EL SECUESTRO, LA CORRUPCION Y DEMAS COSAS QUE FRINGEN LA LEY. CUANDO VOLVERA A HABER UN POCO DE PAZ? CUANDO HABRA UNA MULTITUD QUE CAMBIE DE CONCIENSIA Y VIVAMOS TRANQUILOS? ESTA MUY LEJOS DE MI MENTE ESE SUEÑO.PERO TENGO ESPERANZA DE QUE MIS HIJOS LO VIVAN? CUANDO?CUANDO?CUANDO?

  • Weird, appleman, I was wondering the same thing. I thought it was hell no.

  • Did anyone else see the look Stills threw Young at .29?

  • Yep, looks like Neil brought it right about here. Great tune. And right in time for all of us, not just those of us in Oakland, CA.

  • Neil Young right up front. I believe.

  • P.S. Almost the only time in history when the drummer is front and center.

  • OH MY GOD!?!?! IS THAT STEPHEN STILLS?

  • REALITY

  • funny how they are mocking the fact it is all recorded, down to setting up backwards from normal, w/the bass and drums in front and lead singer in back

  • You can tell paranoia runs deeps and Stills knows Neil will best him like pete best did and is standing still and Neil is running with the rockets. The dickwad with thumbs down is just tired of this song .. how many times.. Its not a NEIL YOUNG song.. the best record was the NEXT> greatest Mr Soul , and Dewey, dean and steve Martin singing Mr soul not noel xmas young.. kidding

  • haha of course there had to be one dickwad that thumbs down this...

  • Neil Young is Best in 2:25 with drumer :D :D

  • Young is rocking that hat like the Bad Ass we all know him to be.

  • Fuckn' CoD-Hip-Hop-Dislike =/

  • Vietnam was no picnic

  • now 130000 views.... taste never dies ;)

  • Neil's playfulness seems to be an indication of his wanting to move on, or just bored with, "Playing," this song on so many TV shows at its peak.

In the end, it seemed to work out well for all the major players, with no disrespect to Palmer. Young went on to, well we all know what he went on to, but Stills did very well for himself, with Manassess/ Crosby and Nash. Furay and Messina did very well with Poco then Messina joined Loggins. Maybe too much individual talent in one band.

    Peace.

    Rock

  • Now on subsider.com.br

    Wow...

  • okay, who is the moron that disliked this? geeez

  • Hahahaha fuckin' brilliant. That Young character's a bad influence

  • love how Neil is making fun of they lipsyncing by moving his hands off the guitar

  • Wish It Was Longer

  • Ashort lived group but put out some great music

  • no lipsync loser shut te fuck up loser

  • it's not lip synced the video is off asshole!!

ever see that on tv stop being an idiot

  • @EllyIrish1660 Who's the Idiot?? Can you Not See the drummer playing drums Without his Sticks?

Great Song and Great Band. Fact of the matter is Most tv shows were lip-sync'd back in those days - it's no big deal. Who are you?? Steve Stills Mother??

  • it's not lip synced the video is off asshole

  • It's Obvious how much Neil hated NOT playing it live... He makes sure everyone can see it's a lip-sync phony...

  • @wash711 loser not lip sync

  • They were having fun.

  • Deadfrontier

  • 40 some years later -------

  • I love the sound of Buffalow Springfield in the morning...

  • 超かっけー

  • 1 man is gay.

  • hahahhahah

Neil goes "hey, look! NO HANDS!!!" @ 1:38 xD

  • Love the smell of napalm...

  • hey if any one pays bc2 VIETNAM on Xbox360 add me GT: A COUPLE HOBOS

  • This is the first protest song I really dug. The 60's were great!

  • Of course it's a lip-sync, a lot these TV shows made all these great bands do this in the 60s, at least Buffalo Springfield had a laugh about it!

  • 100'000 views!

    Thanks everybody :)

  • @New101Jack It deserves it, one of the greatest songs ever!

  • Booooo !

  • This is an embarassing lip sync-- poor guys,,, I hope they were high...

  • I see one thumbs down, did George Bush or Obamanation drop by?

  • hahaha its so obvious theyre lipsyncing

  • I love how they're making fun of the fact that they aren't even playing :D

Like how the drummer gives Neil the drum sticks ahahah

  • @haynamarshall they are playing in fact, thats what you call pros

  • @MRtomtomi2 There is quite obviously a backing track, Neil Young throws his hands up in the middle of his solo as to say "look ma, no hands!"

Not that they couldn't play, it most likely wasn't up to them.

  • im digging the guys Hofner

  • this song makes me wanna smoke some pot

  • thumbs up for forest gump

  • @WillyPerrett

    Is your Native Language LIES?

I speak in Colonial English and you understand Colonial English, @WillyPerrett

  • @findthetruthamerica Well, I can dig that, but what does that have to do with Buffalo Springfield?

  • @findthetruthamerica notice there are no anti war songs coming from msm?

  • Forrest Gump?:)

  • Does so. knows more good songs from the 60`s?

  • @degener01

Try these: "I feel Free" by Cream, "Twentith Century Fox" by the Doors, "Hurdy Gurdy Man" by Donovan... Man, I've gotta stop, my memory's hurting to go back there!

  • @degener01 Try checking out The Doors, Byrds, Yardbirds, Small Faces, The Guess Who, Hendrix, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, The Zombies, The Animals, Free, The Who, The Stones...maybe some Beatles. There's too much great 60's songs to list!!! Have fun...

  • they should put this in a time capsule! And then open it in 5000, so they will know that THE 60IES Ruled!!!!

  • @erwinruys They would also realize its 60's not 60ies

  • @WillzyPerrett i'm not from england or any other English speaking country so don't shit me for my grammar, you should try to speak my native language.

  • @erwinruys hey dude no worries eh ... respect due for making the effort. More than most of us anglophones do eh

  • Comment removed

  • a song that i will never stop loving!

  • This is heard at the start of Lord Of War.

  • I think we need more politically minded music like this. If you listen, it's out there-- it's just more veiled references and lyrics, and people don't seem to really grasp the meaning or don't talk about it anyway. Perhaps it's more the political climate than the music or artists themselves?

  • What's that sound? It's a clock, ticking......

  • thumbs up for Wonder Years <3

  • Where are the so-called "artists" of today when it comes to the continuing waste of American blood and treasure in Afghanistan (and to a lesser extent Iraq)?

Yeah, yeah... we all "support the troops." I have no problem with killing those who would kill me; or rather, having them killed in my name.

That said, we entered WW2 in December of 1941 and the war was over by the summer of 1945.

Afghanistan is more like Vietnam than WW2.

The silence from the Left is deafening.

  • luv the high tones trough the song, that makes you feel very relaxed : )

  • My Dad had the first LP album "Buffalo Springfield" without "For What It's Worth" As I have been told, that song was later put on when the song started to get more airplay.

  • I enjoy their music very much and first came to know of them from my Dad's old LPs. "Last Time Around" still holds a place in my heart, believe it. Sadly I am probably one of the only young people of my generation(was born in 1982) who know of their music from LPs and not from popular movies such as Forrest Gump.

  • @JessicaXtreme Your not alone. :) I discovered them through a 45 record I got for Christmas. And the song was 'Bluebird.' Gosh, I love that song soo much. Its my favorite song by them I think its got such a great guitar solo going for it. Your not the only one. (1989) As far as it goes for me, Springfield are alive and well in my heart.

  • Yep, that's the real great Mr Young in that mighty fine hat of his.

  • Is that the great Neil Young with the hat on ?

  • @texaspete66 Should be him.

  • @texaspete66

    That´s Neil

  • This song is just as relevant today as it was back then...

  • I can't help but listen to this when I'm high. A chiller song than this does NOT exist. Let's give it up for the 60s and 70s for the awesome music it produced!

  • step outta line, the men come and take you away

  • I will be singing this through my Xbox Headset come Dec 21st.

  • that's funny, clowning like they're paul Revere and the raiders because of the lyp sync.

  • Niel..making fun of the lipsync. lol

  • Why cant these chicken shit people today stand up against the status quo? They afraid? People in the 60's and 70's had balls. I'd like to see protests all over the country. This war is unjust like Vietnam was

  • see Mighty Bo under you tube :

"For What It's Worth" - Buffalo Springfield cover

  • looks like they started having fun near the end because they knew it was obvious they wern't really playing

  • In the Sixties our English teacher selected this song among the ones we suggested, then we talked about its meaning in class. It soon became the symbol of the riots and the protests against the Vietnam war.

  • 1:53 watch the drummer and the guitarist haha

  • great song been looking for this for ages since i seen tropic thunder with the scene with ben stiller and the little kid i had to google it lol

  • Good times. Which one of the many bass players the Springfield had after Bruce Palmer's bust and deportation. Great to see them all having a laugh and taking the piss.

  • I like how its the drummer right at the front of the stage =D

  • Thumbs up for bc2 vietnam

  • @Like2gamefor2 thumbs down for people finding out about songs like this through games, movies and TV shows.

  • @hadsao thumbs down for people who think they are cool because they knew the song through a different way then through games, movies, tv shows

  • hahaha. neil quits playing during his solo.

  • ahhahahahahaha

  • i love the jumping stills at the end ;p

  • hey kolarik -- they're lip syncing -- neil takes his hands off the guitar and the music still plays (he laughs about it) and then he intentionally claps at a different time and laughs (get a look at the fringe coat he wears) and then it looks like he knocks the stick out of the drummers hand. funny someone points out in comments that they're instruments aren't plugged in...... still, a gem of a song.

  • this song at the Forrest Gump, Lord Of War, Tropic Thunder

  • @robbiemarko many more too

  • they should make kids listen to this song in school

  • @thebjm1967 They do at my school!

  • @thebjm1967

why is that? what's the meaning of this song

  • @Angelslayer007: Stephen Stills wrote this in late 1966 about an incident that happened on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. There was a club called Pandora's Box that the city was going to close and a hundreds of local teenagers and young people took to the Strip for a peaceful protest. The L.A.P.D. swarmed in on the teenagers and turned it into chaos! Apparently Neil Young was down there during the protest and was arrested too. The whole song is a "us against them" scenario.

  • @MattHatter

    thank you

  • @thebjm1967 funny you say that cause i just used it in my video project for school... im trying to spread good music with my culturally secluded friends :D

  • @thebjm1967 they should make everyone listien to this song

  • they are having buckets of fun!!!!!!!!

  • thhis song is A M A Z I N G ! ! ! ! ! !

  • @FoxIslandman they really were a corporate band/group but it's good too hear they are playing together again,

  • 口パク・・・みんなイヤイヤやってるなぁ、特に二-ルヤング

  • "For what it's worth" is awesome song...

I love these "psychedelic and scary " guitars!

Great, unforgettable record and TV performance!

    Vote up!

  • never knew its sooooo old haha :p

  • they are lip syncing

  • That's Neil in the fringe leather coat, with the beard.

  • Neil was a member of Buffalo Springfield, long before NY&CH.

  • what was the relation between them and neil young and crazy horse?

  • Great song!

  • FAR OUT

  • they really fucked the lip synching :D

  • I love that song!

  • Neil Young

  • thank for uploding i was lookin or this song for ages...........lol

  • well done and a very good video

  • This is great vid thank you for uploading.

  • amazing song!

  • Thanks =)

  • This is brilliant! I love it when bands don't take lip-synching seriously! Oh and you totally rock for posting this!

  • @Kalooookalay I especially like Neil around 1:38 - conspicuously taking his hands off the guitar during his big solo before the "paranoia" verse - and Stephen cracking up afterward.
