  • Goodness me, it's been so long I almost forgot about the handerfly manoeuvre. Thanks to this handy tutorial I can now execute a near perfect one once more. The basics are so much more fun!

  • HaHaHa! This guy's a major tool!

  • Heehee, precisely perfect, dear. I loved this, very helpful, not to mention, I could learn the other tricks, too: All while laughing! Thank you, darling.

  • why do you mock me D:?

  • simple? i wish i could do that! annyway your good at this.

  • I love this video!!!! actually, it's hard to do that, a lot XD, but I will practice until I can do that

  • You are such a wiseass haha. Love this video :D

  • 15K views! Nice :)

I just want to mention that once you made this video for fun and not for educational purpose, it should be more focused to that direction. The tags have no words as "comedy" "ironic" "fun" "metaphor" etc, just tutorial, education etc. The category is also education. You also made a lot of useful tutorials and people think of it as one more of these. The temple-temple is great and fun, though the stop at the fingers is an actual exercise for a controlled and slow butterfly :D

  • @congasious only in destroying I find ease to my relentless thoughts

  • @brinechild It is a pleasure to read such english quotes ^^

  • Thanks for this tutorial. I was really struggling with my butterfly for the first 20 minutes or so, but then I watched your video and had the trick finished within maybe an hour after that. so ya, one hour twenty minutes.. bang on.

My problem was that I wouldn't get the ball to stay balanced on the back of my hand. once i did the sidey-sidey headrolls for a while, my hands eventually picked up the idea.

  • bwaaa ha ha I am 'thumbs upping' both the 'this is the worst tutorial ever!' posts and the 'this is the best tutorial ever' posts! genius stuff briney!!!!!

  • you are the least helpful video...you are giving a lesson on the first trick we should learn and then do all these other tricks that make it harder to learn because you have to learn to balance it on you rhead...very discouraging first try with contact juggling

  • @mrunicycle13 :D my videos are a metaphor for life. If you take it too seriously you may miss the point. (This comment is included in that metaphor)

  • Hahaha lmao, very funy vid. :D

  • this is the worst tutorial ever..

  • your video its not usefull at all.

  • At first, it was depressing that I couldn't do the first easy balance on my head.. then I remembered those games of head-ball.. and man was this easy! Sometimes you carry it with you all along!

  • It took me until you put the ball on the side of your head to realize this was a joke.

  • @godzillalikespie i took me until he said side-e-side motion

  • You are evil and will burn in hell. Countless hapless fushigites, now risk personal injury and emotional damage thanks to your perverse teaching methods.

    Er.... um, hmmm....? Never mind.

  • How is it that you sound just like Dr. Ashen??

    Also, epic vid, much respect!

  • wtf theres no way this is beginer stuff.

  • I always have it go over the top of my middle finger ideally. Is it better to have it go between your fingers or does it not matter as long as it looks awesome?

  • This was hilarious :D

  • this was so difficult i couldn't do any of that lmao. i couldnt balance it on my head (on the top or the sides), or the tips of my fingers, or in my elbow. :@

  • once you explained it as an easy roll from head ball i instantly got it. thank you i knew the old games of head ball were good for something. =)

  • No offense, but I think your silent tutorials are much easier to learn from :P

Actually, this was a funny and unexpected video (since I watched some of your silent instructional videos first).

  • Instead of buyin a contact juggling ball im using one of the small balls that you use in bocce ball... Should I stop being cheap ans buy a real one?

  • @wertyduke905 I think you should buy Magical Fushigi ball. There is no need to learn anything then, it will do the tricks on it's own, as long as it stays in contact with your hands!

  • Despite all the opinions to the contrary, the butterfly tutorial of yours was what I started with. It really did appear to be one of the building blocks of Contact Juggling. A clean, beautiful butterfly may be a masters move.... but if it takes years to master, then I say you better start now.

  • I did this trick without balancing the ball on my head and without balancing it between my fingers! :0

  • @LeBoboninja wow you learned it the hard way, good work.

  • @brinechild wouldnt the balancing on your head and stuff be more difficult to learn?

  • MCP cameo?

  • @thebrillopad Cameo, filming & editing is courtesy of MacPee (that's the scottish pronounciation)

  • not helpful at all

  • @8Black8Rabbit8 I think you're just not ready for the new method. METHOD IS KEY! reason is nonsense, METHOD IS ALL!

  • is this a troll video?

  • @hamtamnam If you mean 'was it made by a troll', then no. I am not a troll, I have only spent small periods of my life living under bridges.

If you mean 'is it for trolls?' then I don't mind who watches it. Trolls need entertainment too.

  • @brinechild I rather like the Yahtzee reference there!

  • I like.

What a wonderfull introduction into how easy fushigi really is.

Thank you Carl Pilkington for evaporating these myths that it takes years to master.

P.S. you are obviously much better than that bloke that wanders past doing it. He is obviously a real noob.

  • I didn't know mike posner contact juggle.

  • is that seriously your voice lol epic

  • hahaha!!!

  • haha xD... he is joking... he is learning U the ''first move'' and he give tips like... if u can't get it balanced then do a harder trick.

  • OHHH that how you do it i got it now that soooo easy lol your horrible lol

  • Most hilarious contact juggling video I've seen. Reminds me of the show "Look Around You" 'educational' modules/episodes.

  • Can this be done with normal juggling balls? I don't have a contact ball and can't seem to find a ball large enough. I tried with a juggling ball, and the ball seems just a little too light.

  • @LaraCroft1994 This video itself is a sarcastic one, but he has actual tutorials linked in the description and on his user page. Juggling balls might be usable, assuming they're fairly firm and decently weighted (around 200 grams or so). Most will recommend a 100mm stage ball for a beginner, but a softball or lacrosse ball will work for rolling (Isolations won't look any good, however). More info and tutorials can be found at contactjuggling(dot)org, and all over youtube.

  • @TobiasGreenich SARCASTIC? sarcastic? me? I'm offended! I would use the term 'Dicking About' personally.

  • @LaraCroft1994 if you don't have the money to get one online- go to your nearest grocery store and find a decently round orange. Oranges work wonderfully!

  • lol. Nice video. You make it look so EASY.

I like the Bossa Nova background.

  • i can't get mine to balance

  • @justinthemagician2 check the details nect to the video, if you're really struggling check out the other tutorial.

  • 2:50 wth?? yours bounces

  • @AlexxisPlata Babache my friend, they will see you right.

  • This was quite the laugh ^_^

  • loves me some cameos! Puleeze let the next one be dubbed like an old kung fu flick!!!

Must go get me a Sil-x ball now and go practice my "side o side motion".

  • damn, i did it completely wrong. with your tutorial i manged to learn the butterfly within 1:17 respective 1:23 for the left hand. perfect! thx und keep it up!

will meg be guest starring in future videos as well?

  • Briney!! Best video ever!!!!!!

  • what kind of ball do you use?

  • ROFL. It worked for me! XD

  • Very very funny, good to see a fresh take on the tutorial video. Whenever anybody asks me where they should start learning contact juggling, I'll send them straight here.

  • This is amazing.

  • why the hell did you use elevator music in this video?

  • @lorenrb the tonal structure of easy-listening music or 'muzak' is an almost perfect simulcrum of the progression of the various thought processes required for these techniques.

Almost on a subliminal level this music choice is conditioning the sections of your brain responsible for acquiring the muscle memory required.

Freelance physio-musologists have understood such ideas for a few years now, but only recently have the longer-term effects been shown as positive.

  • @brinechild why how interesting.

  • @lorenrb what would toy perfer slow elavator music or LET THE BODYS HIT THE FLOOR LET THE BODYS HIT THE FLOOR LET THE BODYS HIT THE FLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOR

  • Haha! Hilarious ,

  • Hahaha, I was like, is that Meg walking by?
