I was watching The Game Plan a few hours ago, and it got to the sad part after Paiton left Joe. It played two piano notes, and I instantly knew I heard those same two notes from somewhere. I kept thinking, and thinking, and finally came to the point where the sound pitch went into a sadder tone. Finally, I kept thinking, then finally Signs came into my mind. The beginning of the sad music in The Game Plan SOUNDS exactly like this song!!!!!!

This has been one of my favorite movies since I was in third grade, because I was extremely intrigued by the unexplained (ever since I saw Mars Attacks LOL). Now that I've grown and a junior in high school, I love this movie even more because I now understand what this movie is really about, finding meaning in your life.

Seems like a lot of people who don't like the movie, have pegged it to be an attempt at sci fi/horror. It's more of a faith film, and yes it has a lot of holes in it. If you do not like it that's fine. But I believe a lot of people looked at this movie from the wrong angle.

Anyway, no matter what you think of the movie, the soundtrack is great. I think it's in the top 100 at least.

What Mr. Howard did at 4:58 was take the rhythmic 1-2-3, 1-2-3 figure you keep hearing for the whole movie and fill it out to 1234-1234, in major instead of minor with some adjustments.

Howard Shore did something similar over the course of three films with the Uruk-hai theme, it gets a major fanfare treatment when Barad-dûr falls in The Return of the King.
