There was a real accident similar to this video. A guy accidentally ran a red light behind the runway. On the runway was a 737 ready for takeoff. As the car went right behind the runway, the power from the 737 engines (22,000 lbs. of thrust) blew the car off course.
That was some ruthless shit. Maybe you could do that with a porsche or a bug.... cause they have spoilers that pop up out of the hatch... or tail... lol? Ruthless!
Nedless to see something like this to realize how powerfull those engines are. You just have to think, see a 747 weighs something like 300 or 400 tons, so if the engines need to push the air back in order to put 400 tones flying forward at more than 300 knots you can have an idea of the force and amount of air hat is being expeled from those engines.
lmao good old top gear, this video gets better everytime i watch it. My friends been about 20m behind a 767 at idle thrust and he got blown over by the exhaust
fake

how is it possible for the jet engines to run at full thrust without the plane moving?
plast87 5 years ago
brakes...and no I'm not kidding, they can hold you at full thrust
badkitty109 5 years ago
Brake is activated
soybato 5 years ago
i know i was wondering the same thing!
familyguy31092 5 years ago
747 is not on full thrust in the video. only engines 2 and 3 running. i can't imagine what TO/GA thrust rate could do on a car nearby
jb155 5 years ago
I wonder how my truck would do ... 80.000 pounds (40.000kg)
Not very good I guess ... as the plane could even destroy the runway running his engines with that power in only 20seconds.
