Your video is great. However, you need to push the firing pin on the way down, then insert the firing pin retainer. Otherwise, the firing pin will come off.
yep, he did it by rotating the bolt but uhm......didn't tell anyone the details. The bolt cam needs to be turned 90 degrees when you replace it too. When it comes to shit like this, it isn't "nit picking", gotta be very technical with this stuff about almost every detail. Didn't explain that the bolt has to be fully extended when reassembling too. He may know it, but not everyone knows this stuff and if you don't show them...... Oh well.
LUBE! LUBE! Lube the bolt cam pin, bolt assembly, gas tube rings, every part that slides against another part! Save the life of your bolt carrier assembly and gas rings. It's ok to go a little overboard, residual oil will burn off when you fire the weapon again. Don't forget to put a coat of lube down the barrel with another cleaning wad.
I use Bore cleaner solvent after shooting, all parts. After 5,000 rounds all parts soaked in Simple Green and dried immediately.
I've tried various gun lubes on my AR-15, none deliver. The one lube I use now on my AR is Prolong, yep, the same automotive oil additive sold at auto parts stores. Prolong keeps friction parts lubed, doesn't burn off with the weapons heat. When I field strip it for cleaning, there's still lube on all the parts, it doesn't dry out like gun lubes seem to do.
Prolong is sold in the spray can and the precision dropper pen, I bought a few Prolong dropper pens to ensure I adequately lube all the parts on the bolt. The spray can works great to just coat the outside of the bolt before sliding it back into the carrier.
I've put over 10,000 rounds through my AR. It has fired with every pull of the trigger and no malfunction or jam.

It's similar to milspec CLP(cleaning lube protectant) Great for out in the field when you can't get the rifle on your workbench at home.
