I know Alex! She is a fun, outgoing beautiful person and she is naturally skinny. I have met her mom, and she is the same way. On top of that, Alex has been an athlete her entire life. It's actually a big part of her platform. Yes, the Miss America pageant keeps swim suit for its entertainment value, but I wish all of you could see beyond that and look at what incredible, positive role models the organization produces!
The important thing was that she is FIT, not how skinny she is or what her body shape is. They don't judge contestants on genetic factors. If you don't like the Miss America pageant, then don't watch it!

its not about being skinny, its about being FIT, which is something anyone can achieve with a bit of effort. its not objectyfying, its encouriging women to eat well and excersize, because anyone can look like that if they wanted, and it is healthiest for your body. and the cat calls are usually the girls back stage/family members.
