Ryu and Ken weren't even suppose to be in 3 to begin with. Chun-Li was suppose to the only one to return. I want Sakura and Sean to be the main characters and have the rest of the younger character grow older. They should also explain how Remy is able to do sonic booms and if he is the person Abel saw shoot a sonic boom. Anything can happen. If any of you read the Third Strike Manga Akuma kills Ryu.

i've always felt sean to be akin to able in play style. if they make a 5 i think his going to be a mix of ken's move set with a able like rush down quality: lots of fake outs, over heads, links, and some sort of a command grab.

If SF5 takes place after III, then Ryu needs to AT LEAST have a boss form.

And he needs to have a few of Oro's moves.

Now that I think about it, I think that the developers decided that the storyline for the SF III series would revolve around Alex and Sean as the main characters for the simple fact that they are the expys/spiritual successors to Ryu and Ken, respectively.

@OrochiGeese7 nah i think mel(ken's son) will be the new ken and he and sean will have the same relationship that ryu and ken had or somthing like it. and since alex is the main character he'll have his hands busy on whatever gill is doing.

Well, because he WAS going to be the ONLY shoto in the series until Capcom brought back Hadou and Shoryu, it's highly possible.

@Renegade466isback I can see Sean being the main Hadou character and Ryu and Ken being secret characters with Shin Akuma level strength. It would also be cool if there was a Sean-Alex rivalry. It could make sense: Sean being Ken's student and Alex possibly training with Ryu after SF3. Ryu could also be pretty powerful considering he's training with Oro.

Could you imagine an Alex with Hadou qualities?

@JRK4Christ I always liked the idea of Sean and Sakura being rivals, since they're kinda ryu and ken's protegees (though Sean directly, Sakura only in her own wildest dreams).

I really DO hope they go about excluding Ryu and Ken from being the main focuses for once in 5 -- I know they tried in 3 but the fans wouldn't have it.  Of course we love them and we wanna know what happens with them, but Capcom's always been so good with coming up with amazing new characters, with 3's being amazing.

@koopakape That actually makes a lot of sense. But I don't think they'll ever exclude Ryu and Ken. Maybe have them as unlockables and with some slight alterations to their movesets? Ryu remains the standard character, so I wouldn't change him much. Maybe give him a laid back sense of humor? It wouldn't be a game-breaking change, but it would be a significant change within Ryu (a sense of humor, that is)

@Renegade466isback Yeah...but for some reason it wouldn't FEEL like Street Fighter without Ryu's presence. I mean, literally EVERY Street Fighter-affiliated game has Ryu in it (the VS series, Street Fighter anything, etc.) Capcom needs to make him and Chun-Li reproduce for Street Fighter 6 or something lol
