Wampbroadcasting: you should get mhfu because if you don't even know the symbols for basic mh items like potions traps or meat you shouldn't get portable 3rd. The only thing that is diferent is that mhfu has tons of more weapons and it has 3 hr levels more called g rank . Portable 3rd has smother hit boxes but you won't really notice until you have put at least 30 hours in each game.

@9taildfox909 Ah, no, Ad Hoc Party is a PS3 application that lets you play certain PSP games online. Unfortunately, even though MHFU has an "online" guild, it's not actual online play. It's just local wireless, so you won't be connected to the internet.

You can also try general websites like Amazon and eBay to compare prices. I think everybody in the podcast just got it from Play-Asia or a friend got it for them.

Just curious Social is there a reason you arent using the hammer combo when you fight the jenouga?

@Youtubian392 Sometimes the hammer combo will move you out of the spot you want to hit. I was aiming for Jinouga's head, so using the full R-cancel combo would have pushed me into his shoulder or arm.

@zonero174 Mildly, it's nothing too damaging, but it's better than nothing, I suppose. The GS in the first quest is the Hapurubokka's (the sand gobul thing)

@SuperPosidon The Jinouga DS are definitely going to be your primary choice, since all three of those guys are weak to thunder. Something with HGE or Evade+ skills would probably be good, armor wise. Dunno if you know or not, but that quest is a high rank quest, in spite of being offered as a village quest.

@SocialDissonance Let's put it this way. Copper is a better conductor than gold, but, in certain conditions it forms an oxide which makes it less effective at conducting electricity. The oxide formed by gold is much better at conducting electricity than copper oxide, and so is used for surface-to-surface conducting paths. However, the fact remains, copper is better when not in its oxide form (Silver is better than both Cu and Ag, but, because of the high cost is not used) =) There we go!

Social you should use the new ability of the great sword :) u know...The charging Slash then it slams then another charging slash only with a diff. posistion :) you have to use directional buttons plus triangle

@BboyDynames Unless it gets a surprise release for the Vita (with wifi multiplayer), the PS3 version is basically as good you're going to get for awhile. The only reason not to get it is if you want to hold out for Tri G, which should feature almost all of the same monsters and areas, plus extra content.
