I think part of what made Ninja Gaiden incredible difficult was creating one of the worst camera systems in history. Constant attacks from off screen enemies, not being able to see a flying enemy ect. I remember playing devil may cry 3, and the camera system was much better there, and the game was still very challenging. I love Ninja Gaiden, but so many cheap deaths while I was trying to position the damn camera ruined it a little for me.

@Frankyboy1177 There's a way! There are some items dropped around the battle ground, so look carefully! I used the vortex ninpo whenever he starts melee attacks - this protects you from damage. Aim carefully and fire. When all ninpo is used go for scythe - it's slow but powerful

This is without a doubt the CHEAPEST and HARDEST boss in video game history. It literally took me and my roommate 200 tries to kill him (the game kept count!)

Thank God the PS3 version is much easier.

Easiest way I beat this very annoying boss:

Use ds or scythe. Both are pretty effective for this fight, but weapon choice is still based on skill and preference. He'll float around like a retard and shoot fireballs right off the bat. I'd dodge around rather than take it to the air and risk getting knocked into the lava. The real damage comes from the ground anyway. When he gets on the ground, unleash a Y combo on him. He rarely gets stunned, so don't be surprised if he starts to beat the tar

@vitalninja out of you mid- combo. If he starts a combo of his own, dodge left or right and slash away at his back. Combine this with lvl 3 void ninpo and before you know it, you'll send him back to the Devil May Cry he came from. If you get low on hp or ninpo, there are 2 ninjas on seperate islands. One with grains, the other with a mushroom. Note that running across the lava will NOT hurt you. Be sure to take out the mines with the bow near the cave. That's why an arrow ninja is there

you have to use the eclipse scythe for up close attacks and the art of the wind blades ninpo is kind of effective as well. The trick is to get close to him and avoid his attacks, and trigger your ninpo. When you use the ninpo, try and double up with a combo with the scythe. Using arrows to try and beat him is not effective. You have to beat him up close. Sleepless machine. Next time you beat him, before you head over to that cave opening, use the arrows to blow up the mines.

Took me an age also, word of advice. Use the left trigger when he attacks, this will have the effect of protecting you by blocking or dashing out of reach, this is the key to beating him as his attacks are so strong....
