what a blast I remember Sonny Terry and Brownie Magee. Dizzie Gillespie and how those cheeks expanded when he blew that trumpet. Cockroach a fantastic band from the far north, Mahana what a show those guys put on.
I was at all 3 festivals and the wind up on for those that helped. I put out the waves newspaper at the 1st and 3rd Nambassas. Had the Hokianga Craft Co-op stall, and did workshop on co-ops at the second one. What a blast, times have changed, I am still a hippie, living of puzzles I make. Hi Peter Terry and Lorraine wonder what you guys are up to.
Saw the Topp Twins on a side stage as we were walking in.
Hot days - up 9am, stoned by 10, in bed by 10pm.
Great atmosphere with peace loving people.
Charlie Daniels Band was our personal highlight and a concert evening feature. Last day: the Aboriginal group laid down some kilowatt sounds when everyone held hands, a magical sound. I sure that sound left a temporal foot print at that place that can still be felt today!
Hi I was there! Thanks for the memories great shots!
