Sadly, we were in Northwest Arkansas, and some Xians complained that Friday the 13th was Satanic and therefore evil, and it was pulled off the schedule after the second season. ...so the cousins -with the help of a new friend- set out to find and retrieve all of the cursed items from the owners -usually a perilous task. Each episode introduces a new cursed antique, that has powers of its own, so the series was a really big hit dut to that diversity of the script. My most favourite show of all times! :)
(as for the title of the series -the producer was also the producer of the Friday the 13th film. He used the same title to attract more fans!)

His niece inherited the shop and feels duty bound to track down the cursed items her uncle sold. (Theres a better explanation on the wikipedia page)

to all those morons who keep posting where is Jason? please realise this is THE SERIES...according to wiki....there was planning to make a connection to the film but in the end chose not to and the reason why it lasted this long because in the 80s this was scary and it was on tv pretty early despite being classed as R it still slightly creepy now
Pretty damn good show. Definitely ahead of its time and innovative, as witnessed in the show Warehouse 13 using almost the exact same plot setup for their stories. Frankly, if it hadn't been called Friday the 13th, it would've lasted longer than 3 seasons IMO.

I used to love this show, though I never understood why they named it Friday the 13th when it had nothing to do with the date, Jason, or Camp Crystal Lake. It was still a good show.

Just got it. Picture quality is a bit dissapointing for an offical release but its good enough. I had bought a bootleg DVD of all the episodes about 4 years ago and it was soooo bad in picture quality, I couldnt watch it. Now Im VERY happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BrychuLampos has youtubed at least 13 episodes (each in 5 parts)
And VendrediAntiques has youtubed at least 37 episodes (mostly in 5 parts, a few in 6, and 2 double episodes in 10)
So at least 52 of the 78 episodes are available on youtube. search using "friday the 13th the series".
Add the word "curse" to focus on the vendrediantiques collection.

I used to love this show, though I never understood why they named it Friday the 13th when it had nothing to do with the date, Jason, or Camp Crystal Lake. It was still a good show.

Just got it. Picture quality is a bit dissapointing for an offical release but its good enough. I had bought a bootleg DVD of all the episodes about 4 years ago and it was soooo bad in picture quality, I couldnt watch it. Now Im VERY happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hate to tell you they never sold their name it was a tv show which they have no say unless they bought rights for tv also which they did not and in any case this show was realy good

Actually, Frank Mancuso Jr. owned the rights to the name b/c he also produced the Jason Movies. Oh, and Freddy's Nightmares came out around the same time; which did feature Freddy but barely.
